If there is no marriage there is no sex.

Comprende?
You can have sex, even if you're not married. Comprende?

“Suppose a man has intercourse with a young woman who is a virgin but is not engaged to be married. If they are discovered, he must pay her father fifty pieces of silver.c Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he may never divorce her as long as he lives. Deuteronomy 22:28.......what is interesting here, this is not listed in the sexual sins of Deuteronomy. and there is a clause " If they are discovered" In verses of sexual sins, this clause is not mentioned.

So you're saying if they're not discovered, it's just fine?

I'm guessing the "discovered" is to try to prevent false testimony. In other words, there has to be witnesses before retribution is required.

Seriously.

You're basing your whole argument of there being sex outside of marriage in heaven on this?

So your ideal of glorious sex, most especially in heaven, is going around trying to secretly seduce, coerce, or flat-out assault young virgin women?

And then never getting caught (discovered) for it?

But the Bible says ALL things done in secret will be brought into the light - for judgement.

Why is that clause there for this issue and not others? Why is the clause there to begin with?

I stated this my post - a witness helps assure no one is falsely accused of seducing or flat-out raping someone.

Why are you not understanding this?

How on Earth can you take that as "sex without marriage must be ok if it's done in secret"?

Discovered means there is a witness.

Sexual sin is still sexual sin, witness or not.

The clause is added here to protect innocent men from being wrangled into marrying someone for something they didn't do and to deal with those who've sinned in secret.

I am honestly flabbergasted that you take an example of what could be sexual assault and use it to justify your own burning, uncontrollable will to have sex, no matter what.

Even to the point of saying it has to exist in heaven or you're not sure you want to go there.

I started out in this thread thinking you were a lonely soul who had been dealt a rough hand in life, and maybe that's so.

But using examples of what could be a sexual crime - all-out rape - to justify your own desires is so far gone that I am truly taken aback.

And I already know what you're going to tell me, you're going to tell me you hope there's a Eunuch's Club in heaven for me to join.

You've already told me that once and I asked you why that's such a bad thing, buy you never bothered to answer.

I can tell you that I will be happy to be part of The Eunuch's Club in heaven as opposed to the Sex Outside of Marriage Club, Whether Through Secret Rapes or Fornication or Angels or However I Can Get It Club you keep insisting will be there.

You also repeatedly say Christians are negative about sex.

Well when it makes some people act and talk this crazy in order to get or just think that they can get it, one does sometimes have to wonder why God didn't choose another route.

I know it's pointless arguing with you, John. You've insisted on your line of thought across multiple threads, many of your own making, all over the forum.

The reason I do speak up is because if there are other Christian singles out there, I want them to know that your arguments are certainly not representative of how all single Christians think.

And for any single who meets someone so obsessed with something that they try to justify it to the point of not being able or willing to see sin as being sin, please, keep right on going.

There are other singles out there who don't think or act like this, I promise.

Not because of self-righteousness, but because we're trying to accept what God tells us, even if that means no.

May our will be bent to God rather than trying to bend God to fit what our own wills want.

I am wondering if there is a porn problem going on as this constant sex thinking is being driven.

Many Christians are negative about sex. No sex in heaven, sex is only for procreation. They never mention the enjoyment of sex (not even for married couples) No mention of the benefits of sex.

But there has to be a balance between recognizing it as something great in marriage vs. being so obsessed with it that if it's not possible with humans, you start looking for alternatives to try to have sex with, hence your utter fixation on angels supposedly having sex.

And... Back to Square One.

You're going to say the angels had giant offspring with women and that if angels can appear human, they must have the parts, so surely you can have sex with them.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

I wish the church would push marriage for those with little self control. Stop making them feel guilty. Paul had the answer, get married.

He has mistaken the experience of pleasure (dopamine) for the experience of happiness (serotonin) and so he will continue to drive his interest in pleasure at the expense of his own happiness.

Text book case of this.
One has to recognize this to change, it is not looking to promising so far given his response to you.
Sad really.

I went to a Lutheran school kindergarten through graduation.

During my time there, I can think of at least 6 times students were "caught" -- because they got pregnant -- and some were forced to get married by their parents and the church.

It wasn't always for the best and sometimes led to even more problems.

I know Paul said to marry if you can't control yourself, but I'm sure he also meant to balance these decisions with prayer and wisdom.

Marriage isn't a cure-all.

And I've written several threads and posts here over the years asking people if marriage cures or fixes a porn or sex addiction.

Not a single person who answered, not even one, said that it did.

And many of the people who answered were married and speaking from experience, as that was, of course, the target audience.

It works for some, but not for others. I have met men who have told me they could not make it without their wife.

Yes, I'm sure, especially when they have been together for a lifetime. My grandparents were married for 64 years, and only death separated them.

But you can't speak of marriage as if it's a blanket formula that should be everyone's default. Nor do you seem to realize that it doesn't last forever.

What do you think you'd be writing to us about today John, if you HAD gotten married -- and your wife couldn't or didn't want to have sex with you? I don't know if you spend all your time here on CC in your own sex threads, but if you've read other people's stories around the forum, you'll see that this is what some of the married people here are dealing with.

Or what if your wife had died and you had another 20 years to live?

I'm guessing you'd be telling us how badly you needed to get remarried because you couldn't bear not having a wife to have sex with, but what do YOU think? I do understand this. Both of my grandparents had to find companionship soon after their spouse's deaths because it was all they had known, though I have no idea how much sex played a part in that.

But if your wife couldn't or didn't want to have sex anymore, and you had another 20 years to live, would you divorce her in favor of someone who could?

"But if you do marry, you have not sinned; and if a virgin marries, she has not sinned. But those who marry will face many troubles in this life, and I want to spare you this.".....1 Corin 7:28. There are problems either way. If you're single or married. If you're married, do your best to work things out. Get counseling, and not just from the church. I have a good Christian friend, who was having trouble in his marriage. They went to church counseling. The marriage did end in divorce. He said the would never againgo to any church counseling. He said they only thing they did was to open the bible and read from it.
If she is denying you sex, get help, read articles about the issues. Don't just listen to the church. Pastors are not always right, they have biases too.
