There's only one race--the human race. God made Adam and Eve with an olive-colored shade to their skin. As people began to multiply, they became either lighter or darker depending on migration and other factors. Skin tone is not a race; it is simply a variation within one human race. The same goes for the shape of the eyes.
Breaking people down into racial and ethnic groups creates division. Unity comes when we recognize that skin tone does not determine IQ or the capacity to learn. It just means people have different levels of melanin, which only determines skin and hair color.
The term "people groups" is much better. But don't label it based on skin color. Instead, base it on region and geography. For example, people in Miami are going to do things differently from people in Philadelphia. That's due to different types of weather, socioeconomic conditions, and political factors.
When you put it in those terms, it becomes more inclusive, and skin tone becomes irrelevant.
Let me know what you think.
