There's only one race--the human race. God made Adam and Eve with an olive-colored shade to their skin. As people began to multiply, they became either lighter or darker depending on migration and other factors. Skin tone is not a race; it is simply a variation within one human race. The same goes for the shape of the eyes.

Breaking people down into racial and ethnic groups creates division. Unity comes when we recognize that skin tone does not determine IQ or the capacity to learn. It just means people have different levels of melanin, which only determines skin and hair color.

The term "people groups" is much better. But don't label it based on skin color. Instead, base it on region and geography. For example, people in Miami are going to do things differently from people in Philadelphia. That's due to different types of weather, socioeconomic conditions, and political factors.

When you put it in those terms, it becomes more inclusive, and skin tone becomes irrelevant.

How do you know this? Is their evidence that they had olive colored skin?

I agree that skin color should not be a consideration for anything. A persons character, education, and experience should be what we base our thoughts of them on.

Racism, prejudice has existed for a very long time. It was even present during Biblical times.

I should probably describe it as "middle brown" because that would be more precise, according to the speaker here. And I think he makes a good scientific case for it here.

I agree. I probably could have used the term "middle brown." But check out the video above, and you'll see that Ken Ham makes an excellent point throughout.

I believe we should stop using the term "race," especially the way we are now. There's no scientific basis for dividing people by skin color.

Reminds me of the time I was in the woods with a friend and a bear appeared in front of us. I shouted "RUN". He said "we can't outrun a bear..." I told him "I don't have to outrun the bear, I just have to outrun you..."

I do not believe YHWH confused the language to separate his people. The people were conspiring to glorify themselves instead of glorifying the one to whom all glory is due. As you correctly observed, "...we divided into different ethnic groups." He is not the source of our division, that is our sin and ours alone. When we join together to glorify and honor God we are actually fulfilling His will.

Matt 22:36-40

I don't think he intended to divide us at all but to be one people unto Christ. If everyone would come to repentance, turn from their sins, and put their trust in Jesus, skin tone would be as irrelevant as what flavor chapstick you wear.

"Race" is a construct that results from evolutionary theory. Before Darwin, division was mostly based on culture, religion, standing in society and nationality.

Yes ethnicity, Race was never the issue it was always ethnics. In the modern days society has blended word meanings i.e. cool=good,,gay=homosexual,rainbow=lbgtq ect. in the same their is race and ethnics they are two different things but society is using them as synonyms when they are not.

Look real close at what I said and notice I "did not say Race",,,, I said "ethnic groups" i.e. language,culture,morals,,customs ect.
