that makes sense because how the Bible explains it, Adam knew Eve was being deceived, but he didn't stop her. maybe Adam not stopping Eve is part of possibly rejecting to eat the Tree of Life. maybe Adam rebelled? he even had an excuse already, the WOMAN You gave me made me Sin! he was blaming God for making Eve who made him Sin.

i kind of really do want to meet Adam now when i get to Heaven, after all!
I love how this discussion is causing you to ask questions… and search the scriptures. God loves our sincere questions when we’re wanting to understand and know the Truth.

God is the BEST Teacher and the only one that knows the Truth and the answer to all our questions.

I'm a bit confused by it my self

In one passage of the bible the lord says do not repay evil with evil😪😥

What are we supposed to believe

I suspect we live in a devided language

Did you know we speak this language in England

Well… if we repay evil with evil then we did not overcome evil with good. In the New Covenant with Jesus Christ it’s now grace and forgiveness.

I enjoyed the singer’s voice and the melody of the song…. I just don’t follow angels or the mother of Jesus, I only follow Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

I enjoy your posts. Thank you for sharing… beautiful voice and melody…(y)

The Bible is clear on why. My thought or question or wonder and you put it, is why would God not just obliterate humans and start over, because we all deserve his temporal amd eternal punishment. Wretched everyone even the best of us.
I’m learning that God values us very much… He determined our value, not us.

I like what Derek Prince once said… a house in and of itself cannot determine its value… its value is determined by how much someone is willing to pay for it.

Evidently, God was willing to pay for us with His Life… He determined we were worth that MUCH.

Clearly, for what reason.....? I do not know.

He is an idiot. Houses are inanimate and are not sentient, and the value of such a property is determined by a variety of factors and is summed up as the market value.

Indeed. Only He knows why.

There was no command recorded to name the animals.
God absolutely took great delight in Adam naming all the animals and it was God’s Will that Adam do so.

God brought the animals to Adam to see what Adam would call them and whatever Adam called them, that was their name…

Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name.

Naming the animals was part of the dominion given Adam over the creation.

something in the minds of Adam and Eve kept them from choosing
to eat of that Tree so they would choose to eat of the one forbidden.

or, maybe it was on their minds to eat but they refused to.
They were of the natural world. The natural man is at enmity with God, and hostile towards Him.
I would think this tendency became exacerbated following the fall of man and corruption of all creation.
However, there is nothing indicating they had had their hearts circumcised, or were born again Spiritually.
That was the plan from before the foundation of the world, was it not? A&E required it as much as we do...

PS~ I have asked the same question you do, and more than once (not just on this thread)... see page 7 #136 .:)

I’m glad you agree that God values you and found you to be worth dying for. However, salvation is a choice… we can choose to be saved or reject it.

Btw, I’m not glad that you think Derek Prince is an idiot! Lol! :giggle:

Market value is determined by how much the market of buyers are willing to pay. If nobody wants to buy a house, it doesn’t matter that the bathtub and toilet is pure gold… it’s worth very little because nobody wants to buy a house.

But we’re just broken down houses that God wants to live in… He wants us to be His Temple… we’re worth a lot to Him because He greatly desires us!

the Gap Theory surmises your thoughts precisely.

but if the reason they did not eat of the Tree of Life, when it was there to have, coincides with why God did not start over, because man was from word Go designed to have a Savior. God, just really wanted to show His Love in a way unlike anything else, He designed so we would have to go the route of needing a Savior.

All the disciples made terrible mistakes at times.
All the disciples fled when Jesus was arrested. Jesus died alone. God loved Judas just as much as you or I.
And called him "friend." Though Judas was doomed to destruction...

Lol ok sweetheart, angels can refer to the heavenly but it doesn't matter
I don't get in to the debate about angels Just being about a Catholic debate and I'm not catholic, they mean so much more than that. Theres also your guardian angel you have from a child as written in the bible.

The point I was making was if God is telling us to not repay evil with evil, why would we he do the same by using evil to destroy evil
Or using evil to discipline people behaving bad, surely the power of his Good can destroy evil or discipline bad.

Or God could could send an angel to punish us badly if where behaving bad which would feel like a evil spirit,

So there's an angel you would have choice but to follow because that angel would follow you 😍👍

He also tells us how His ways are not our ways.
He may choose to do anything to further His redemptive plan and not clue me in:unsure::):giggle:(y):coffee:

it shouldn't, unless it is coming from God, then you would feel guilty. but you don't appear to feel guilty at all.
God does put guilt on people. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin and if we are in Christ, hopefully we should be sensitive enough to know when He is urging us to forgive or correct.

Of course when you are off course and have ignored the warnings for years, you will probably not even notice.

6 In order that they know from the shining of the sun and from the west that there is no one besides Me; I am the Lord and there is no other.

7 Who forms light and creates darkness, Who makes peace and creates evil; I am the Lord, Who makes all these.

I waited all day for someone to add this Gem: I am the Lord Who makes peace and creates evil: I am the Lord, Who makes all these
You do not include the reference, which is always helpful, but you are talking about Isaiah 45:7. That particular verse has been discussed at least 6 or 7 times by more than one person and if you had knowledge (I know you think you do) of what is really going on in this thread, you would know that.

So what does the Hebrew actually say then? Not evil. It states CALAMITY.

רָ֑ע
rā‘;calamity

Nothing to see here.
