Hello Alexiss,

Here's where I started. I made this decision and the rest fell into place one clear step at a time.

Good News
. However. Im not 100% sure if Pentecostalism has given me that satisfied feeling.

I really want to start going to church but I’m not sure where to start. How do I figure out which denomination is right for me? Should I explore different churches and wait for that “when you know, you know” feeling?
Rather than go with a 100% satisfied "feeling", wouldn't you rather have 100% certainty of heaven?
There's not a church on earth that you can attend that will take you there by association. Churches don't save......

Jesus Saves.

Matthew 16:16-20
16 Simon Peter answered and said: Thou art Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 And Jesus answering, said to him: Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-Jona: because flesh and blood hath not revealed it to thee, but my Father who is in heaven. 18 And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose upon earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven. 20 Then he commanded his disciples, that they should tell no one that he was Jesus the Christ.

Timothy 3:15
15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

I agree with those verses.
What I am saying is that churches are not THE Savior. They only save inasmuch as they give others the means of salvation through the gospel of grace.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith."

As a child I used to think there were only two types of Christians; Catholics and Baptists. In my teen years I discovered there were many denominations. Not sure why, but I assumed my family were Baptists so I usually told people I was Baptist if asked. My aunt is a Pentecostal evangelist and after years of her taking me to church, praying over me, and bible study, I finally decided that it was time for me to do these things on my own. However. Im not 100% sure if Pentecostalism has given me that satisfied feeling.

I have found over the years that some churches teach The Word better than other churches. Studying the history of Christian churches breaking away from Roman Catholicism was enlightening for me. Early Christians paid the ultimate price with their lives for reading the Holy Bible and forming a personal relationship with The Lord, rather to adhering to the traditions and rituals of the Roman Catholic church, whose priests only spoke masses in Latin until around the 1960s.

Precious friend, if I may suggest that due to the 'dozens/hundreds/thousands' of
selections, Bible study is the 'one selection' that would be the Best place to start.
Kinda like the bank teller, in training, who only "handles Only real money" they see
the "counterfeit" as soon as it is laid on their counter.
Early Christians paid the ultimate price with their lives for reading the Holy Bible
and forming a personal relationship with The Lord, rather to adhering to the traditions
Some of us may also have to 'pay the price," as knowing Correct Bible Doctrine
would be the same [ as the bank teller ], so if/when you do start to "go to church"
you will 'know' when you hear the false doctrine, and then you would run far away
from it.

Unfortunately this kind of study may take years (11 for me), as God Led me out
denominational confusion. As Scripture Teaches, God Would Have us:

2Co_6:17 "...come out from among them, and be ye separate, Saith
The LORD, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you"

Some of us are then "stranded (separate)" because there are no churches or
small study groups in our area. Let me know if you have any questions, and:
