Israel is referred to as a harlot and has many scripture that support it as Mystery Babylon. Not the physical state of Israel because since the gentiles were grafted in at the cross those verses now refer to the unrepented.
That's my opinion on Mystery Babylon, that she's those who are of the world.

You didn't even get out of the gate in your explanation without contradicting a scripture.
None of the prophecies from either the OT or the gospels are relevant as pertaining to your argument …. Because you have missed a significant event that altered what was going to take place (prophecy wise) and it will take place after this period of time has concluded.

The mystery….the (sacred secret) was kept hid in God. And I have to conclude….. that the man Jesus Christ did not know of the mystery…. because all His teachings reference the tribulation period, which He gleaned from the OT ….it’s either that, or He lied…. and Jesus did NOT lie.

Even His statement in Matt_ 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. Was referencing the tribulation time.

When did Jesus gained the knowledge of the sacred secret…. I do not know…. possibly after the resurrection.

There can be no prophecies in the OT or gospels that give reference to the gathering together (rapture) because it did not exist until it was revealed to Paul by revelation… God had kept it a secret.

The following graph simplifies events.

i have read this information on another forum.
just for the fact you read the Bible and have viewpoints on what it means.
who do you think, not know, this is just a best guess scenario, will fulfill the Role of Babylon?
If you find a verse I contradicted please post the verse. I would be happy to review it. As far as your opinion being something others should take into account, that idea is not in accordance with the scriptures. The Bible clearly states that the scriptures are for reproof, correction and teaching.

Why aren't you willing to subject the idea of Jerusalem being the fulfillment of Babylon the great to the descriptions of Babylon the great found in Rev. 16-18.

Well, if you had actually prayerfully studied The Revelation of Jesus Christ you would have found that the identity of Babylon is given in it!

So, try again! :p
Is 13:1 and 17-22 tell us that Babylon of Old cannot be the fulfillment of Babylon the great, because these verses explain that Babylon of Old will never be revived.
Is.13:1 and 17-221 The oracle concerning Babylon which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw. 17 Behold, I am going to stir up the Medes against them, Who will not value silver or take pleasure in gold. 18 And their bows will mow down the young men, They will not even have compassion on the fruit of the womb,Nor will their eye pity children. 19 And Babylon, the beauty of kingdoms, the glory of the Chaldeans’ pride, Will be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. 20 It will never be inhabited or lived in from generation to generation; Nor will the Arab pitch his tent there, Nor will shepherds make their flocks lie down there. 21 But desert creatures will lie down there, And their houses will be full of owls; Ostriches also will live there, and shaggy goats will frolic there. 22 Hyenas will howl in their fortified towers And jackals in their luxurious palaces. Her fateful time also will soon come And her days will not be prolonged.

We , we meaning most posters, all do the same and most of us will say something like God or the Holy Spirit led me to this conclusion . Reading different opinions is interesting.
I have yet to hear a famous academic say Jesus taught them what they teach. You haven't posted a testimony of Jesus teaching you the fulfillment of Babylon the great. The fact is what you believe you learned from an academic.

What makes you think you know me well enough to say something like that? When reading the Revelation of Jesus Christ while having some understanding of the OT the Revelation becomes clear. One should not need/want to have my testimony when what is being discussed is the Revelation of Jesus Christ. I did not say 'Jesus taught' you are twisting my words.

Daniel the prophet was shown the resurrection.
Dan. 12:1 “Now at that time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued. 2 “And many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to everlasting life, but the others to disgrace and everlasting contempt.

The Jews during the time of Jesus knew about the resurrection.
Matt. 22:23 On that day some Sadducees (who say there is no resurrection) came to Him and questioned Him, ..........28 “In the resurrection therefore whose wife of the seven shall she be? For they all had her.”

Heb. 2: 7-9 says Jesus made Himself lower than the angels for a little while.
Heb. 2:7 “ THOU HAST MADE HIM FOR A LITTLE WHILE LOWER THAN THE ANGELS; THOU HAST CROWNED HIM WITH GLORY AND HONOR, AND HAST APPOINTED HIM OVER THE WORKS OF THY HANDS;.......... 9 But we do see Him who has been made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.

The timeline you posted is a springboard that takes people away from the scriptures into the opinions of academia.

Rev. 16:18-19 states Babylon the great will have an earthquake that splits it into three and causes all of the cities of the nations to fall. This reveals that the intangible character of Israel is not the fulfillment of Babylon the great. It seems that academia has caused everyone to think like you did about the fulfillment of Babylon the great.
Rev. 16:17 And the seventh angel poured out his bowl upon the air; and a loud voice came out of the temple from the throne, saying, “ It is done.” 18 And there were flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder; and there was a great earthquake, such as there had not been since man came to be upon the earth, so great an earthquake was it, and so mighty. 19 And the great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And Babylon the great was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of His fierce wrath. 20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. 21 And huge hailstones, about one hundred pounds each, came down from heaven upon men; and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, because its plague was extremely severe.

Babylon the great is a symbol, given to the prophets in dreams and visions by Jesus and only Jesus can reveal the meaning of this symbol. You need to back up a little. I don't understand what you are trying to say. I posted that you have no testimony of Jesus teaching you the fulfillment of Babylon the great. If you came to your conclusion through the scriptures you would have posted them.

The US is such a large place. Babylon can't be the entire US nation. Maybe one of the cities? Like New York? That might be a possibility. But there are other financial centers around the world for consideration.

I'm not going to worry about it. It will happen whether we know which city this is or not.

I agree ….but I am not referring to the resurrection. The gathering together is not described as a resurrection because not everybody will be dead.

1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

At the gathering together the Lord never comes to the earth (as in the resurrection). WE ….those of us in Christ meet him in the air…. both dead and alive. Thessalonians is referencing ONLY those in Christ … no one who died prior to Pentecost. Only those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior in this administration of grace (the one body).

Guess maybe the bases would be
Understanding What the Scriptures say about antichrist.

1Jn 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
1Jn 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
1Jn 2:20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
1Jn 2:21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
1Jn 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
1Jn 2:23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
1Jn 2:24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
1Jn 2:25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

1Jn 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
1Jn 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
1Jn 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
1Jn 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
1Jn 4:5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
1Jn 4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

2Jn 1:4 I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.
2Jn 1:5 And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
2Jn 1:6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
2Jn 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
2Jn 1:8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
2Jn 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
2Jn 1:10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
2Jn 1:11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

None of these scriptures are appropriate to use to determine if your thoughts about the fulfillment of Babylon the great are right or wrong. Rev. 16 -18 are the scriptures we should use to check our thoughts and the teachings of others around us if we don't want to be deceived by the spirit of anti-Christ. All have the awareness of good and evil that enables everyone to be influenced by the Devil.

Since the Bible tells you to leave the US (if you haven't already), where do you plan to go? And why are you choosing that place?

Since the Bible tells you to leave the US (if you haven't already), where do you plan to go? And why are you choosing that place?
"Come out of her" is a metaphorical way of warning the believers that if they participate in the sins that the Left is legalizing in the US and using the US economic grip and military might to coerce the nations of the earth to become like the US, they will receive the plagues Jesus is going to send on the Progressive Communists in the US.
Rev. 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, “ Come out of her, my people, that you may not participate in her sins and that you may not receive of her plagues; 5 for her sins have piled up as high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.
