Now and again, someone will come along here saying that Paul taught a different Gospel than Jesus. IMO, and according to Paul himself, nothing could be further from the truth. There are many examples to show this, and, while reading Colossians this weekend, I found one example that is not often discussed.

Jesus taught: Matthew 24:13) But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

In Colossians, Paul taught:

Chapter 1: 23) If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
Chapter 2: 8) Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Paul's warning is clearly in keeping with what Jesus said in Matthew IMO...

I agree with your assessment, brother (@p_rehbein). In fact, here's another soteriological example from John and Romans to add to the comparison, verses that seem to (basically) be saying the same things about salvation (albeit, with slightly different wordings).

John 5
24 “He who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.”
Romans 10
9 If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

What is implied by such a belief (that Paul taught a different Gospel than Jesus did) is that the Bible is nothing more than, at best, man's musings about the Divine, rather than what it actually is, God's breathed/inspired word that was superintended by the Holy Spirit as the Bible's human authors wrote it down.

God bless you!!

Paul could not help but preach the same Gospel as Christ and the other apostles. At the same time, the Gospel has various designations depending on what is being emphasized. But there could never be a conflict between what was being preached by Paul and what had already been preached by Christ. Paul said that we preach Christ and Him crucified, and that Christ died for our sins according the Scriptures, and rose again for our justification according to the Scriptures.

Luke 4:43 (ESV)
but he said to them, “I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns as well; for I was sent for this purpose.”

Acts 28:30-31 (ESV)
30 He lived there two whole years at his own expense, and welcomed all who came to him, 31 proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance.

According to his own words, Jesus came to preach the Kingdom of heaven and repentance. The core of what Jesus and Paul preached are a bit different. Yes Paul was teaching the gospel or good news about Jesus and Jesus was teaching the good news of the Kingdom of Heaven and invited anyone who ears the good news to enter the gates of Heaven, everyone is invited!

May thy Kingdom come soon my Lord!

Blessings.

Creating doubts about the consistency between Jesus' and Paul's teachings is one of Satan's biggest schemes. And I believe that God Himself knows the spiritual reason(s) for that.

Creating doubts about the consistency between Jesus' and Paul's teachings is one of Satan's biggest schemes. And I believe that God Himself knows the spiritual reason(s) for that.
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭4:3-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.”
‭‭John‬ ‭18:37‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“if so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: that ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: neither give place to the devil. Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:21-32‬ ‭

“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:31-32‬ ‭KJV‬‬

These modern age “ grace “ preachers are really leading many folks astray because to establish what they are telling people they have to remove what Jesus told people and then told his apostles to do wotness to everyone for salvstion and everyone that believed this true gospel would be saved

later instead of hearing what Paul is really saying that’s perfectly fine n line with Jesus established doctrines in the gospel they look for things to twist and omit the other stuff they don’t want to hear Paul’s letters are the only scripture in the Bible we are warned about Because you can pluck a few sentences from a. Letter and form a convincing yet shallow argument against what the rest of the letter says and this can easily deceive young minded Christian’s

The best way to identify false doctrine is if they have to remove the words Jesus spoke and established beforehand when he walked among man and preached eternal life by faith in him and because of Gods great mercy towards mankind

jesus message was “ all you have to do is put your belief and trust and faith in me and listen to what I’m saying follow after it let what I’m teaching you change your mind “

This is what faith is and why he focused so much on his disciples hearing his words and following where he was leading them

“You are saved by faith “

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We have to be willing to learn from Jesus because he’s teaching us the truth and he teaches us to repent and do what’s right to treat people his way and not our own selfish ways ect it’s all part of salvstion and of course paul agreed with and taught it he actually was teaching people who had heard it already and was expounding upon what Jesus had said making it more applicable and unsderstandable.

jesus spoke often in parabolic language but the epistles use much more plain language and also use many comprable imagery and examples of every day life we understand the apostles also had his spirit and understood much more after he ascended than before he did so as hey received the spirit they began inderrrsnding better everything Jesus had taught them and began expounding it to the people as he commanded them to do including Paul

If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; he is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭6:3-5‬ ‭

if anyone can’t accept and consent to Jesus words , the words of thier lord and savior it tells us they aren’t speaking the truth. Satan is subtle but he will never ever agree with Jesus and his way of salvstion because that’s the truth and Satan is a liar

Paul's warning is clearly in keeping with what Jesus said in Matthew IMO...

When you read Matthew 24, what are you seeing, the good news of the death, burial and resurrection, OR the

"15When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand.)

Jesus and Paul preached the SAME Gospel, however, they both distinguished between the gospel that provides everlasting life and the physical salvation/deliverance.
The good news is that Christ will return and establish His own Kingdom and reign on Earth as He does in Heaven. Just prior to this, the abomination of desolation, sun and moon darkened, etc. That will be bad news for the world, but good for those believers who are upon the earth and endure the persecution and destruction.

Matthew 24:13 is not about believing in Jesus and His atonement as is spoken 100 times in the gospel of John alone. It is enduring TRIBULATION to be physically delivered/ saved.

"“And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.”

Eternal life is not an endurance of suffering and good works on our part. That comes through faith in the Gospel of the death , burial and resurrection of Christ.

I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we ( the apostles ) have preached unto you, let him be accursed.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭1:6-8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:9-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Your claiming God approves of two gospels , Paul is clearly saying there’s only one gospel and anyone teaching another is to be cursed you should re think your conclusions

if your trying to then say Jesus didn’t preach the one true gospel and Paul his servant and witness who was converted to the church later then began preaching this real true gospel or this “ second gospel God approved of “ which Paul doesn’t at all agree with and says would bring a curse upon the person you should repent and read the Bible and do away with the Paul Ellis and Joseph prince books they don’t agree with Jesus or his apostles

Does your thinkin conclude that we don’t need this ?

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Is that true ? And also is this true ?

“For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: but if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:14-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

If we say I believe Jesus does and rose , now do I get to reject what he said about forgivness ? About salvstion ?

“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭13:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Does believing Jesus does and rose translate to “ now we don’t need to hear and believe what he said ?”

I think that’s the problem one verse doesnt make the others untrue we learn one paragraph of scripture and somehow then we reject the rest

No, pilgrim, it is YOU who preach a False gospel, Not rightly dividing the Word of Truth!

Anyone who wants to know the distinction can do a simple word study on those terms "gospel" and "saved."
I Corinthians makes the gospel of eternal life VERY clear as I first referenced.

Yes Paul was teaching the gospel or good news about Jesus and Jesus was teaching the good news of the Kingdom of Heaven and invited anyone who ears the good news to enter the gates of Heaven, everyone is invited!
When you take the totality of the words of Christ, then you will note that He wanted men to understand that He Himself is their salvation. He is both Savior and Salvation.

That is the meaning of Yeshua or Yahshua -- God is our salvation. Thus we have all the "I AMs" in the Gospel of John. When Christ spoke about the Kingdom of God He made it an imperative that in order to enter and see the Kingdom of God one MUST born again. He was not speaking about His future Kingdom, but that the Kingdom of God is within you. And how does the New Birth come about? By receiving Christ as Lord and Savior (John 1:12,13). And what did Paul say? "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou SHALT be saved, and thy house".

There will always be some who will try to complicate the simple Gospel of Christ and make it an onerous chore to believe on Him. But Christ said that we are to simply come to Him as little children and receive Him as Lord and Savior. Indeed He said that the Kingdom of God consists of those little children, and others who come as little children.

Not the false gospel

“The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

That’s the gospel Paul’s place is here as one of Jesus witnesses

Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; and declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: by whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name: among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭1:1, 3-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

There is just the gospel Paul is a convert to Christianity established well beforehand he isn’t a heretic

Is Paul prophesying the 1000 year reign of Christ and that God is later joining the Son on the New-Earth?

1 Cor 15:
24Then the end will come, when He hands over the kingdom to God the Father after He has destroyed all dominion, authority, and power. 25For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. 26The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27For “God has put everything under His feet.b Now when it says that everything has been put under Him, this clearly does not include the One who put everything under Him. 28And when all things have been subjected to Him, then the Son Himself will be made subject to Him who put all things under Him, so that God may be all in all.

Then in John's Rev 22, after all things made new (new heaven/earth/Jerusalem) we see the rest:

1And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: 4And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. 5And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

Above you say, "My position is Jesus Christ preached the only gospel and anyone who believes will be saved"

Then

you post a bunch of works as additional requirements in many other posts since I've been here. Which is it, grace or works?

Has the end of the world come? If not, why? I will add Colossians 1:5-6.

5 For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;
6 Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:

notice after the lamb appears you always hear “ the lamb and one on the throne “ together ? It’s because they are one

“I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.”
‭‭Daniel‬ ‭7:13-14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭9:6-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Father and son are one the son manifest in earth the same In Heaven

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.

…He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

..And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:1-2, 10, 12-14‬ ‭

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
‭‭John‬ ‭4:24‬ ‭

“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:63‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.”
‭‭John‬ ‭18:37‬ ‭KJV‬‬

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

I and my Father are one.”
‭‭John‬ ‭10:27-30‬ ‭

jesus hands are the hands of the father

“For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.”
‭‭John‬ ‭12:49-50‬ ‭KJV‬‬

jesus words are the words of the father

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:6-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

jesus the son , is the father in heaven who is spirit and can’t be seen with our eyes , manifest on earth in the form of a physical man we can see and hear and know by the gospel . He is a new Adam or new first man from who’s resurrected body we are reborn after he died and was raised he ascended and returned to where he had come from

“And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him: and there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:10-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Then Jesus begins preaching the gospel explaining “ my words are not mine but the fathers who sent me “ and things like this

“Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

after wards we see ascention wheras before we saw a descention from heaven to earth at baptism he said this before he died

“And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.”
‭‭John‬ ‭17:5-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

then after he rose we see him returning to glory where he is God as in the beginning

“So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The last reference is the reason God came in the flesh we had no intercessor no worthy man to be our priest so he became one

“And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment. And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him. For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke. According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence. So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him. And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD. As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭59:14-21‬ ‭

God who created all things became a man and walked among man and told us about eternal life and said believe and be saved then he paid the price for all our sins so anyone who hears and believes could be forgiven , the. He returned to his former glory now having created a high priest a perfect and sinless man to intercede for sinners

“But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭2:9-11, 14-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

he gave his earthly life up for us all but his spiritual life is eternal and what he offers us who believe

what im saying is the son is an earthly view of God , the father is to see him in heaven glorified but Jesus the man the firstborn of the dead is our high priest he’s like Gods right arm they are one but he is the physical aspect the intercessor aspect of God

age came from on high , to us down low and lived in subjection to God as all of us are , then returned to his glory on high as in the beginning when he created all things jesus is like the bodily temple of God the father and thisnis all children of God they all become like a bodily temple for God the father and son by his spirit

then you have the post explaination

yet man now has a high priest tokonterceed and save them this man of God , Jesus Christ who is himself God and has now become our high priest and intercessor and sacrifice and mediator as he stated we needed before he came
