My point was that it seems that you keep trying to highlight the importance of Jews. Many people take pride in their heritage... nothing wrong with that.

But Jesus has only one bride and that's the Church.

As you know sin is defined as breaking the commandments, it is why they were given in the first place. Our Holy Father in Heaven wants his children to be Holy and sin no more. The penalty Jesus paid with his own blood, but does this mean we let go the goodness of the law?

It's a great point. Do we get up each day, get alone with God, enter into and enjoy His presence, and...

Focusing on God and walking in the light will please God and keep us from sin. Trying not to sin takes the focus off of God and places the focus on us and our efforts.

You are under the law and there is no debate on this point. You cannot be under the law (ten commandments) and under grace at the same time. You are living the Christian life in a contradiction of what Paul stated so strongly in Romans.

Inquisitor, my answer in post no 8 and other early posts of this thread. Also I have started a new thread on Psalm 119 with comments from the biblical illustrator, there is a lot to learn for all of us in these wonderful psalms, please have a look.

All of us have free will ,we can choose who to follow. For me I follow first and foremost the teachings of the son of GOD, our Savior Jesus. Do not forget that most of the prophecy in the old testament point to Jesus our Messiah. How can you go wrong by following Jesus words and teachings? You cannot, He is the only way, the light, life eternal.

You must have missed my saying it is a joy to obey God. Think about what this encompasses, then you will not say such a thing. God bless you, He is in charge of each of us, and gives each of us His will in His manner, not in the manner of any other. This is what many call a "personal relationship." I would agree it is a joy to obey God. However, if we focus on the letter of the Ten Commandments and consider it joy when we obey that letter we will soon become miserable, for if we understand what that letter actually demands we will soon see our faliures concerning it

When I was young, I went to a church and read my bible during the sermon(the sermons were long) And sometimes I would read the ten commandments. And I wondered why the tenth one was there. It seemed so trivial to me, I figured God just added it to make the number up to ten. But in those days, as I read of those commands I only related not coveting to not desiring material goods like your neighbours car or nice house. Although I believed you should not desire other peoples things, it hardly seemed that important compared to the other commands engraved in stone. However, once I reached puberty, I instinctively in my heart and mind knew impure thoughts were sin, I had knowledge of that being sin in my heart and mind. And yet, at that time, I still only believed the tenth commandment referred to material things such as houses and cars. How did I have knowledge of sin in my heart and mind, but not through reading what is written in ink?

This looks very much like the fulfillment of the law by Jesus Christ.

The two tablets of stone were the shadow laws waiting to be fulfilled.

The love of Christ poured into our hearts is defintely the fulfillemnt.

The phrase “the Law or the Prophets” is a common way of referring to the Old Testament, Israel’s Bible in Jesus’ day. The “Law” comprised the first five books of the OT, and the “Prophets” captured the rest (see also Luke 24:27).
The word “abolish” means “invalidate.” Jesus did not come to “do away with” or “repeal” the OT.1 Jesus respected the authority of the Law and the Prophets.

While it’s tempting to read this as a reference to Jesus’ obedience to the law, the verb translated “fulfill” did not mean “obey.” Rather, the word “fulfill” meant to bring to a designed goal, to fill up and complete, to bring to full expression. Jesus was declaring that he fulfilled the prophecies and even the patterns of Scripture; he showed forth their true meaning.
This interpretation is consistent with how Matthew uses the word “fulfill” in the opening chapters of his Gospel. Jesus’ virgin birth “fulfills” the prophecy of Isaiah 7:14 (Matt 1:22–23) and also “fulfills” the pattern of the expectation of a divine ruler who will bring about God’s salvation (Isa 7–12). The slaughter of the innocents under Herod “fulfills” the pattern established in Jeremiah 31:15 when the mothers of Israel wept at Judah’s exile (Matt 2:17–18).
Matthew writes that Jesus’ deliverance from Herod “fulfills” Hosea 11:1, “Out of Egypt I called my son” (2:15). In Hosea’s original context, that sentence is just a historical statement referring to the Exodus. How then does Jesus fulfill it? Because Jesus fulfills the historical pattern of God rescuing his “Son” from danger (see Exod 4:22). The same could be said of the wordplay in Matthew 2:23: Jesus’ humble origins in Nazareth fulfill the OT theme of the Messiah’s humble origins (e.g., Isa 11:1).
Therefore, Jesus fulfills the specific prophecies of the Old Testament, and he also fulfills the storyline of the whole OT. That is why he represents Israel when he is baptized and then, like Israel, goes into the wilderness—though, unlike Israel, not because of disobedience. No, Christ perfectly obeys in our place. Like Moses going up Mount Sinai, Jesus “goes up on the mount” to deliver his famous Sermon on the Mount. Jesus is a new Moses. He has come to show how he “fulfills” the OT story in and by himself.
Jesus therefore has the authority to interpret the Old Testament and its laws, which is just what he goes on to do in Matthew 5:21–48. He hasn’t come to invalidate the Mosaic law, but to show where it was always pointing.
Jesus fulfills—fills out—the entire OT.

Jesus fulfilled the law by being a sinless man by obeying God's commandments perfectly.

He also the fulfilled the roles of Israel as perfect King, High Priest, Saint, Mediator, Prophet, and He is the temple, and sacrifice, and anything else He had to fulfill.

But Jesus did not fulfill the role of perfect King on earth, and it must be done on earth.

That is what the millennial reign is about Jesus fulfilling the role of perfect King on earth, and then heaven and earth shall pass away.

And there will be a new heaven and earth where sin has never been, and sin will never be, and the former earth shall not be remembered, nor come to mind.
