Where did they get that teaching in the bible? It's not a mischaracterization. They are clearly against sex in heaven. So far very few Christians support the view of sex in heaven.
The understanding comes from what Jesus taught about marriage in heaven. And again, they are not against the idea of sex in heaven. They simply believe Jesus taught that there would be no sex in heaven. You don't seem able to make the distinction.

Where did Jesus say there was no sex in heaven? Show me the verse. He said there was no marriage. That does not mean no sex.

I agree it doesn't say expressly. Neither is there a verse that explicitly says there will be. So to say with certainty either way is unwise. But the more common understanding of Jesus' words concerning marriage is that there is no sex in heaven. And this is why the majority of Christian's give this response.

Oh I agree. I'm not interested in being a chick magnet. But the OP of this thread does nothing but whine about not having a wife
but he spends all his time online debating theology. That's not the greatest way to attract a female looking for a relationship.
John B-y is now on permanent ignore. Long overdue.
I thought you said you don't talk about people after putting them on ignore.
In fact you have said you do not do that a number of times. And I have seen
you talk about people you have on ignore a number of times, also.

I really wish people would just freeze him out; if he doesn't have an audience he'll simply go away. Unfortunately
that'll never happen; there are too many people willing to entertain any kind of nonsense that's offered up.

Genesis 6. Angels had sexual desires.

You believe this because you believe it is speaking about angels. Not everyone does.
The sons of GOD is not the line of Seth.....unless you think the daughters of Cain were ugly. It does say the daughters of men were beautiful. That would make the daughters of Cain so ugly, no one would marry them.

Some interpret it that way. Some don't.
The sons of GOD saw the daughters of men were beautiful and took for themselves wives of any they choose. How else would you explain that?

Another explanation could be they simply wanted to live as they pleased and not under God and in obedience to Him. It was an act of deliberate disobedience; much like with Adam and Eve.

They were attracted to the beauty of the daughters of men. It doesn't even say they were not allowed to. Angels can eat and drink with men. They can socialize with men.

Interesting in Genesis 6 the sons of GOD did not take men for wives.....they were not that stupid. (like some men today)

I was speaking of the sons of God as men. Angels are ministering spirits. They don't minister as they please, but at the behest of God.
The fallen angels may have wanted to pervert the image of God in man, but even if they were to take human form, they couldn't produce after another kind.

Yes it does being that sex outside of marriage is sin.

I think you have been told this before. I do understand that many choose to believe it means something
other than that believing men took unbelieving wives, which is numerous times warned against (being
unequally yoked). Solomon was considered the wisest man in the world yet became unequally yoked to
multiple wives and concubines (a thousand total), which caused him to worship idols, something God
explicitly warned him about. When God chose to flood the world, it says absolutely nothings about angels.
It is all about what men were doing, the wickedness of men's hearts, and the evil intentions of men.

Believers marrying unbelievers do not produce giants. It is also clear from the verses, the sons of GOD here are NOT men. They are a different group.
