I am not venturing to say that myself. Sorry.
The Spirit of God descended like a dove on Jesus when the Spirit of God descended on His disciples as tongues of fire. Doesn't that make you wonder at the significance of that?

John said of Jesus, "one is coming that will baptize you with fire," where previously God, the Spirit, told John, "the One you see..."

Hold on, let me look it up... I don't want to "wing it" here...

John 1:
33I myself did not know Him, but the One who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit descend and rest is He who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’…

The Holy Spirit descended like a dove and rested upon Jesus because the Holy Spirit is 'of' Jesus, the Holy Spirit 'of' God.

I am a Christian. I do not follow Christianity. This means that I accept the Bible but I do not accept Christian doctrines that are not found in the Bible.

NASB20

Christian
Acts 26:28 NASB20 - Agrippa [replied] to Paul, "In a short [time] you [are going to] persuade me to make a Christian [of myself.]"
1 Peter 4:16 NASB20 - but if [anyone suffers] as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name.

Christians
Acts 11:26 NASB20 - and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. And for an entire year they met with the church and taught considerable numbers of people; and the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.

I am open to discussion of matters of this concern. If you think that I am out to lunch let me know. Otherwise I would just say I am a Christian and an adherent of Christianity.
Good for you, discussion is good. Keep discussing till the cows come home. Discuss till you can't discuss no more.

God's name is Yahveh. Or, Yahweh if you follow the ancient paleo a certain way. In any case, God's name is made up of the Hebrew letters YOD HEY VAV HEY. Or, YOD HEY WAW HEY. I read the vav in the modern Hebrew of the Torah text. I don't know how to pronounce God's name.

Do you believe the following?

Psalm 82:6 KJV - I have said, Ye [are] gods; and all of you [are] children of the most High.

John 10:34 KJV - Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
Psalms [[is not]] any part of the Law.
And you quoted from Psalms 82 and those are Angels, God, is speaking to.

6 I said, “You are gods,
sons of the Most High, all of you;
אָ֭כֵן כְּאָדָ֣ם תְּמוּת֑וּן וּכְאַחַ֖ד הַשָּׂרִ֣ים תִּפֹּֽלוּ׃
7 but you shall die as men do

notice Verse 7, God, tells these Angels they will die like men do.

you don't tell humans they will die like a human, they already know that.
but you do tell an Angel, that has Rebelled against God, they will die like a human. because, they don't know how it is to experience being a human and never considered death, because, they weren't supposed to ever die.

I do not believe that Jesus said that He is God. I do not believe that others said that He is God.
the Apostle Paul, called him [...the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us...]

who did Paul say in Verse 14 "gave Himself for us?"

he said it was ...our great God and Savior Jesus Christ

Verse 14 shows us one Person is both [our great God and Savior Jesus Christ] ...because, only One Person ever gave Himself for us

which is : our great God and Savior Jesus Christ

Because the Bible says that we are to have faith in Jesus.
Yes, a believer does have faith in Jesus, but faith is given by God‘s gift of GRACE. It is written in Ephesians 2:8: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God."

You seem like a guy who doesn't care much for creeds or historical christianity or traditions. Fine by me.

I would just keep it biblical with you.

Lets go with these few verses:

1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

John 1:1,14
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

What we can learn from these verses, is that God was manifest in the flesh, and how was it manifest? Thru Jesus, the son of God.
"the Word" was with God at the moment of creation, John tells us this Word was God, which was then made flesh and dwelt among us (Jesus)

I think thats a really simple and biblical way of looking at it. I realize the talk of substances and persons and divine essence is completely unbiblical and can be very confusing. Me im a theology nerd so I enjoy listening to things like that.

For those who do enjoy, I once again recommend Beau Branson's speeches on the topic. Him and I are in agreement when it comes to what "the trinity" is. Here is a link to it, includes multiple videos I subscribe to the eastern view of the trinity as it can be easily defended against accusations of tritheism, whereas the western view is way too open to that accusation, especially today when people are unlearned, easy food for the JWs and muslims of the world.

if Jesus was not God on earth, then who is he to you??
Excellent question. There is God, there are angels and there are humans. What 4th category do anti-Trinitarians place Jesus in? What less-than-God category would that be?

And Jesus said He was His Father. You don't have to completely grasp it; just believe it because the Bible says it.
John 10:30
“I and my Father are one.”
Amen! Look at the reaction from the Jews in John 10:33 - The Jews answered Him, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God." The Jews clearly understood Jesus’ statement as a claim to be God. In the following verses, Jesus did not correct the Jews by saying, "I did not claim to be God." That indicates Jesus was truly saying He was God by declaring, "I and the Father are one." (John 10:30) Not merely one in unity, but also in essence/nature.

When Jesus said, “the Father is greater than I”, in John 14:28, He was speaking from His humanity, but when speaking from His Divinity, Jesus said, "I and the Father are one." (John 10:30) The fact that Jesus was fully man and fully God seems to be a major source of confusion for anti-Trinitarians.

The Word was with God and the Word was God (vs. 1) and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us (vs. 14) is a crystal-clear reference to Jesus. Verses 2-3 also confirm His Deity.

Other passages of Scripture where Jesus is unquestionably called God.

Isaiah 7:14 - A Child Will Be Born and His Name Is Called": "Emanuel: God with us"
Isaiah 9:6 - A Child Will Be Born and His Name Is Called: "Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace
John 20:28 - Thomas said to Jesus, 'My Lord and My God.'
Hebrews 1:8 - Father addresses the Son as God.

Colossians 2:9 KJV
“For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”

I like how the NASB renders and amplifies that verse.
Amen! Now read the Amplified version. Colossians 2:9 - For in Him all the fullness of Deity (the Godhead) dwells in bodily form [completely expressing the divine essence of God]. (y)

You cannot receive salvation until you acknowledge Jesus' deity.
I disagree with you on this. I believe it is something we may grow to accept. That is my personal experience.

I would agree that the salvation of person who rejects Jesus’ deity is in question. Rejection is distinct from ’not yet accepting’.

No. I am not. I have said elsewhere that I believe in the Deity of Jesus. I just don't believe that He is God.
Either you are intentionally playing word games or you don’t understand the words you use. The word “deity” means “god”.

I would strongly advise you to seek to understand the nature of the Trinity.

The problem with Christianity is denominations: denominations = division which is condemned by the bible. You are of the right mindset to want to follow only the bible, ad I do too; but in that regard, you must look for the church of the bible, that adheres strictly to it and follows its precepts. Clues to the church, its organization, and hierarchy can be found in Titus and 1st Timothy. The bible says not foresaking assembly as some do Hebrews 10:25, so, you must assemble with the church to worship God on the 1st day of the week and partake of the symbols accordingly, the Lord's supper.

Try here. Non-denominational.

The problem with searching for a church in that way is that generally a person dont know enough to make that decision. It takes time and study and teaching (found in the church) to know what the bible says. So when one adhoc rejects the church and its doctrines (especially foundational doctrines that are universal church wide) they have set themselves up for failure. This mind is not a good one, its rebellion and not on the basis of sound Biblical understanding but on the basis of self aggrandizement. This is the Dunning Krueger affect in action.
