I signed up a few days ago and could use a little help. I have some questions I'm hoping can be answered.

1. Is there a help desk available?
2. Can I edit my post once posted? If so, how?
3. If I wish to message someone privately do I have to purchase a subscription?
4. When replying to someone's comment my comment doesn't show up sometimes. Why?
5. When reading someone's response the other user's comments will be in a light blue rectangular box. How do I exclude everything except the paragraph I want to reply to?
6. Is there a page I can go to that has only my posts?
7. Is there a way of immediately going to the last post of a thread without having to scroll and scroll through all of the posts?
8. Is there a page listing the mods and administrator?
9. If I want to contact a mod do I have to be a paid member?
If I need help with the technical aspects of the site how do I get it?
10. Browsing through the various forums there is one having to do with conspiracies. It appears the last entries were around 2013. Am I just reading this wrong or is the forum no longer active?
11. If one wishes to unsubscribe to Christian Chat how does one cancel their membership?
12. Is there a code of conduct page available?
Thanks for the help.

You have 5 minutes to edit your post after posting it.

Just click where it says "edit" at the bottom of your post, and then make your changes and hit "save".

Yes.

You need to have a paid subscription in order to initiate a private message.

If the person you wish to speak to privately has a paid subscription, then they can initiate the private message, and you will be able to respond to it without having a paid subscription of your own.

9. If I want to contact a mod do I have to be a paid member?
If you want to send them a private message, then you will need a paid subscription in order to do so.

However, if you want to contact them publicly, then you can include @RoboOp in your post (he is the site administrator) or @Oncefallen in your post (he is the main moderator here, I think).
If I need help with the technical aspects of the site how do I get it?
You can post all of your technical questions here:

If you want to cancel your membership, it would seem we don't really need to answer all your other questions.

So... just contact a moderator, and tell them you'd like your account deleted.

That page is horrifically out of date.

Some of the staff listed there haven't logged in for several years, some of the staff listed are specific to the chat app.

Ultimately, as I posted above, I'm the guy to contact 99% of the time.
I think that I will officially retire from trying to help others navigate this site.

Something about the blind leading the blind comes to mind....

I didn't say I wanted to cancel my membership! If you don't want to answer my questions simply don't.

To contact you Oncefallen I would have to have a paid membership. Is that correct? I don't at this time.

Usually when people ask HOW to do a thing, it's because they want to do that thing.

Please accept my apology for assuming your questions had a purpose.

I was only trying to help.

Implying that it was pointless answering my questions because you assumed I was cancelling my membership was not being helpful. Regardless, thanks for the apology. Apology accepted. 👍

You can highlight just the part of the post you want to respond to, and a little "Reply"
box will appear. Click it and just that will be quoted. To access your post stream, hover
over your avatar beside any message and click on the number of posts (it is a link).
Or click your cursor on your avatar at the top of any page and select "Your content."

You can also use the search function (little magnifying glass at top right hand side of
page)to search for a specific word used in any post by any member, including yourself.

There is also a little more complex way of responding to bits of a person's post one
point at a time. I can explain that also if you would like to know more about that...
