I need to make a correction to this portion of my post.

I wrote: The greek word for pre-destined is made up of pro- (beforehand) -hor- (from horaO: I limit) and -iz- to make i.e. prohorizO = I make limited beforehand.
This should say: "The greek word for pre-destined is made up of pro- (beforehand) -hor- (from horion, meaning a border, which is from horos meaning a bound or limit: I limit) and -iz- to make i.e. prohorizO = I limitize beforehand or I make limited beforehand.
I
t points to the limitation of the object to reach only thus far. It does not point to the forcing of the object to attain the limit being presented.
Before the foundation of the earth, God chose us who are in Christ to mature toward but not beyond conformity to the image of Jesus. A disciple when he is fully taught will be like his master, but not beyond his master. And not all disciples will attain the maximum within the limit set. That is Paul's point.

Omniscience is defined as “the state of having total knowledge, the quality of knowing everything.” For God to be sovereign over His creation of all things, whether visible or invisible, He has to be all-knowing. His omniscience is not restricted to any one person in the Godhead—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all by nature omniscient.
In order for God to be sovereign over His creation of all things that exist now, He needs to know all that exists now. He does not need to know everything that will exist tomorrow.

What type of God doesn't know everything? God is just sitting in heaven surprised "OH NO, another heresy popped up, no WAY i didnt see that one coming!"
Not the one described to you by your teachers. Knowing everything at any particular time is to know everything that exists at that point in time. A being that knows everything that exists in this moment is omniscient at this moment, He knows everything. The future does not exist to be known.

what do you mean by ""Christian essentials"" I do not get it being francophone, is it a church expression?
Sorry to have to tell you: he started a thread on the subject and, despite many requests for him to clarify what he means, he flatly refused. Don't bother wasting your time expecting a meaningful explanation.

The question is often phrased in such a way as to be contradictory, such as asking, are essentials unnecessary.

That's why I called it a trick question... .;)
Do you believe we have any Christian Essentials from Jesus Christ which are absolutely unnecessary and, if so, which ones?

His statement about me in post #17 indicates his motivation: he's just looking for excuses to denigrate others.

Sure. You believe essentials are necessary and what necessitates an essential is that necessarily
it is essentially necessary... and if you don't essentially believe these necessities in essence and
by necessity y'as all are gonna burn in hell. Forevah!
.:devilish:. Just don't ask what constitutes an essential.

absolutely necessary; extremely important.
a thing that is absolutely necessary.
Okay, so you can quote a dictionary, but you continue being a stubborn mule by refusing to declare plainly WHAT you consider "essential".

You've played your hand consistently. The only way you can become a respected member of this forum is by stepping up, stating your position plainly and clearly, and leaving off your pathetic avoidance tactics and petulant repetition. You aren't fooling anyone; you're just making it clear to more and more people that you are only here to play silly games.

Why would I declare plainly WHAT I consider "essential when it is plainly obvious that all Christian essentials are essential?
