1 John 1:6-10
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he also is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all iniquity. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

This question is out of the way for all who are saved by the Blood of the Lamb, for these people our Father overlooks the iniquity of our sin, and they will all be totally blotted out come the Day of the Lord.. Otherwise the sins we have committed in this age will be remembered for all eternity, and this is not to be.

Yes, I am praying for you. (y)
I certainly sin. That's why I am appreciative of God's grace expressed through His only begotten Son's sacrifice. 1 John 1:9 is necessary all the time. It was one of the first verses I needed to memorize as a new Christian teenager. It applies since the day John 3:26 applied, not to stay saved, but rather to maintain fellowship....stay on speaking terms with the Father.

Yeah ... maintaining salvation puts the faith in yourself, not Jesus. He keeps our salvation, not us. Even when we aren't intentionally sinning..there are things we do without knowing it fully that are sinful. That is the beauty of grace from God.

A lot of people mistakenly get the epistle of
1 John mixed up with the gospel.
The Gospel of John applies many places to the lost who trust self.

"30And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: 31But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name."
ch 20

I John is addressed to saved believers, who they are in Christ and how to walk with Him.
Like my parents. There were times that I had fellowship with them and times I was in trouble. Both conditions, I was still their boy...

I appreciate your point , Wattie.
He is faithful and just to forgive us, not only of the sins we recognized/ confessed, but from "all unrighteousness." That includes things we aren't aware of.

We are born not knowing God so we will sin before we come to Him and repent so all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

We will sin up until the time we confess Christ if we have the proper understanding of repenting of sins, and then when we receive the Spirit we can abstain from sin for a Spirit led life will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh for they have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts, and show the ways of the Spirit and not the flesh.

If we sin we should not want it anymore and mean it and allow the Spirit to lead us.

Every time we sin we forfeit repentance, and are not led of the Spirit in that instance until we do not want the sin anymore and are led of the Spirit.

God knows the hearts and if we sin wilfully then there is no more sacrifice for sin which if we hold unto sin then the blood of Jesus cannot wash it away for God will not take away a sin we hold on to.

The Bible says some have a form of godliness, but deny the Spirit leading them, and are ever learning but never able to come to truth which they hold on to sin believing they are right with God, and are lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God, which they love sin more than Him.

But if we allow the Spirit to lead us we can abstain from sin but it is doubtful that any Christian has actually went years without committing a sin but the key thing is to not hold on to it and allow the Spirit to lead you.

And repenting when you do the act but not actually getting rid of the sin knowing you will do it some other time is not repenting for you are not turning away from the sin.

Some people hold on to sin and then they will say I am led of the Spirit but they are not.

Like TV evangelists who will say they are led of the Spirit, but then are millionaires taking advantage of the congregation, and fall victim to the love of money is the root of all evil, which it neglects the poor and needy, and love is the fulfilling of the law, so they are not led of the Spirit.

Charity, love in action, is greater than faith, and they violate love and then think they are right with God.

Faith works by love which love does not think an evil thought, and does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth to abstain from sin led by the Spirit.

Yes, I don't understand why many people put a biological connection to your parents as greater than being God's child. That biological connection cant be undone..but people will say Gods new birth connection to a saved person can be.

We are obeying Jesus, not ourselves.

I still have yet to learn this all I see is my sin my screw ups everything wrong with me I constantly feel I am not good enough that I have let him and others down I fear I speak for him in the wrong I look inside myslef and cannot see whatever it is he sees.

So many struggle with this as well even if they don't say it I can feel it in them.
What we need is a comunnity to not simply ask about this but to help each other to see ourselves as he does it is a constant battle and we all seem to deal with it on our own

If I could I would create a community who lives to uphold strengthen and encourage to remind each other who and what God says of us as it is a severe issue and is constant the enemy is very adament about this it is a common tactic but an affective one.

We won't ever see or understand this if we do not come together I can tell many here hide all of this they have all this but put opn a face this however only deepens what we already deal with.

But if all we do is the same thing and we do not make it a point to help each other to bring the light the hope the true stance in which the scriptures clearly say we are in him yet we cannot accept or believe it then we will never grow into it.

if you ask this can you tell me if you recieve the answer your looking for what will you do with it?
