These guys are fake preachers... teaching "reformed" theology which is chocked full of error and un scriptural doctrine.
What's the main theological matter they get wrong and why?

Jump on the net and start search for "reformed theology is false doctrine"... and start reading
I found a good video here. It's kind of long, but these guys seem to know what they're talking about. When I have the option, I never start with an individual's attack on a subject I'm not familiar with. That's just butt backwards.

Almost Heaven West Virginia
Ironically I've been to pretty much everywhere in Italy except Rome.
That's remarkable. We're those vacations or did you live there?

Correction. I had imported cheeses from there that I bought in the local stores, not had them imported. LoL. I should proofread.Preparing today's dinner i was reminded of the subject and had some Sartori Family cheddar. I don't have any Italian cheeses on hand right now except for some dried parmasiano.

This all got started in the garden of eden... God said if they eat of that tree they shall surely die!

The devil comes along and says no, surely you won;t die.

OSAS doctrine is a trick of the devil because... he's saying the same thing, which is you can sin against God and not die spiritually which is becoming separated from Him.

The entire church system has been compromised and Jesus told us in Math 24 that in the end time many will come claiming to be Christ (claiming they are anointed of God) and will deceive many.

BTW... these guys in your video are proponents of the false doctrines of OSAS.... they are tickling people's ears!

It's very telling the state of what is considered christendom when so many that say they are Christians.... are taping their toes to and enjoying worldly music

It's too bad to see so many being friends with the world... as though there not a lot of really good Christian music out there they could be listening to instead rather than putting the darkness of this world into their minds, and emotions. SMH View attachment 257021

How do you define what is 'Christian' and what is 'worldly' music? Do the lyrics of the song have to be entirely direct quotations from the bible? Or can a songwriter paraphrase the bible? Or even use their own ideas and concepts? Is that ok as long as they are a Christian? If the lyrics have to be direct quotations from the bible then I think the majority of modern 'Christian' music would be out too. What about songs with lyrics directly from the bible which support OSAS, are they bad?
What about instrumental music like Vivaldi or O'Carolan or Celtic Instrumental Music? Is that ok to listen to, if the author was some type of Christian?

it really does not matter how this individual defines any part of anyone here. he is far too busy judging everyone around him and has forgotten to look first at himself.

what does matter, is how the Bible defines us as believers in Christ.

in fact, we are instructed in Galatians not to compare ourselves to others and yet the entire focus of this thread is the op telling others to follow his lead and if not, you are not actually a Christian. we do not follow others; we might be inspired by them, but we are to follow Christ and He tells us that His burden is light.

That means that we do not follow a system of laws or man made interpretations of scripture, but we follow our Savior and walk in the light with HIM and by the Holy Spirit we will begin to be changed into the image of Christ. As God tells us to humble ourselves, we can apply the scripture that says we should put others above ourselves....not always an easy thing to do.

To get on this forum and rant at others, while mocking at others as well, is not Christian behavior. It is not a discussion but one person's conviction of how others should believe and act based on his own experience. In this way, he actually cheapens the value God puts on each of us as individuals.

Do I personally believe that listening to certain music is edifying? Actually, no I don't. We can certainly discuss what we think or believe without condemning those who disagree with us. The op presents a system of legalism and condemnation.

That, is not Christianity. I truly do not care for any response from the op as his myopic renderings are of no use to anyone who questions what it means to be 'free' in Christ or to those new to the faith. God is more than able to convince each person what is and what is not acceptable to Him, IF their hearts are open before Him and IF they really do want to have a life that conforms to the pattern of faith the Bible sets out before us.

We are not free to judge the hearts of others; we have no idea of their inner lives but God, by His Spirit, does.

I wanted to get back with you on this, the Theocast guys.

I do disagree with them on one theological issue and agree with them on another, probably not the one you were talking about.

I studiedly disagree with 5 Point Calvinism (TULIP). But I do decidedly agree with them on Grace-vs-works/legalism, identity-adoption, Love vs fear.

Theocast guys vids "What is Pietism?" and "What is Reformed Theology?" are good, but "The Difference Between Reformed Theology and Calvinism" is not focused, they could have said the little they did in 5 mins.

It's generally unfortunate to use someone's name into an "ism" as theologians/philosophers teach lot of different things, such as John Calvin. From baby to young adult, I attended a Reformed church weekly, definitely including Catechism. Generally Reformed includes "Calvinism", but I can tell you I never heard TULIP laid out in our church. We had the Apostles Creed. I don't recall reading the official church doctrine, but if anyone believed TULIP, they kept it to themselves.

Just out of curiosity, JimmyTheLock, what's your bottom-line on TULIP? (As it's a large subject, I'm just asking bottom-line.)

I would agree with the Theocast guys that Grace vs Works is not just a doctrine but should deeply affect our daily focus and walk.

This all got started in the garden of eden... God said if they eat of that tree they shall surely die!

Grace vs Works is also a voluminous subject, or the OSAS issue as you put it. Like many issues I think you come to the best understanding through an understanding of the totality of scripture on the subject, avoiding depending on scriptural snippets and instead having a hyper focus on the context of the scripture you're examining. Of course, including the Holy Spirit with a wise study of the historical arguments and traditions of the past church "fathers".

I won't get voluminous here, which is likely the only way to change some minds, but I'll rather be succinct:

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through. And this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Romans 5:1 Therefore since we have been justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 8:15 For you did not receive a spirit of slavery that returns you to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship, by whom we cry, "Abba! Father!"

Says those that ignore what the Lord says in His Word... which is supposed to be what Christians are to live by.

Music that is friendly with this world's ways of being and doing right... the carnal viewpoint of the blind mind of mankind that teaches men to refuse to submit their lives to the Lord Jesus to obey the Gospel of Christ.... Christians should not be listening to as this would make them friends of the world.

James 4:4
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

Problem is, you say ALL music that doesn't directly say something about God falls under the "music that is friendly with this world's ways of being and doing right."

There ain't a thing in the world wrong with the "Reading Rainbow" theme song. I defy you to find anything evil in it.

It doesn't uplift the Lord bringing glory to Him nor does it lead people to the Lord.

That makes it evil and this song will not be found in God's Kingdom.

Besides, whassup with the "rainbow" bidness... is that some gay some er something? clueless-scratching.gif

The rainbow was a thing long before LGBTXYZwhatever stole it.

Back in the day, The Reading Rainbow was a show on Public Broadcasting, about the joy of reading books.

"That makes it evil and this song will not be found in God's Kingdom."

That is just silly. By your logic it is downright evil to drink a soda, because it doesn't do you any good.

And definitely stay away from those sinful chocolate chip cookies.

And let me guess.... they directed people to read books that were not... God's Word, the Bible right?

By directing people away from the Lord, they are acting as agent of satan as this is satan's thing.... leading people to anything that is not related to the Lord as to distract people from knowing the Lord...

I learned to read because of programs like Reading Rainbow...
once I learned to read I was able to read the Bible FOR MYSELF and stop relying on my heathen siblings to read it to me (usually incorrectly) and was able to stop looking through "reading" children's inaccurate Bible picture books.

Who knew it was so evil 🤷
