Antisemitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews.
Rhetorical and physical manifestations of antisemitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish
individuals and/or their property, toward Jewish community institutions and religious facilities.

"Semite" is a derivative of "Shemite" or a descendant of Shem, the son of Noah. Shem's descendants include Abram, Isaac (and Ishmael), Jacob, and Judah, from which we get the word "Jew".

Normally, "anti-Semite" is used specifically to describe a person whose words or actions are critical, defamatory, or destructive towards Jews. "Anti-Semitic" is the adjective form.

Of course he is. If I had a dollar for everytime some evangelical has called me the synagogue of Satan I could buy the Tesla motor company.

Its more the anti-christs that are a concern than the anti-semites.
Many of Jesus own people were against him, but just as many believed, so? Jesus was a Jew (from the tribe of Judah) he could hardly be against himself.

I dont understand the word semite anyway is it just a way to avoid saying Jew. Jews dont call themselves semites and speak Hebrew, plus, they could live anywhere in the world if they wanted. The Middle east was a melting pot of all different peoples anyway, many people lived there because of the climate and the land was so fertile. A lot has changed though with desertification and its no garden of Eden anymore.

I agree. The word is so overused (and used out of context) as to have become meaningless. People accuse Martin Luther of being anti-semitic because he said some mean things about the Jewish religion, and yet the current Israeli government is committing genocide against Palestinians (consisting of Semitic people), and it is said the Israeli government can't be anti-semitic? The word has lost its meaning.

Said some "mean things" such as:

- Jews should be enslaved
- Synagogues should be burned down
- Jews should have no legal protection from crime
- Jews homes and property should be confiscated
- Jews should be killed

Obviously you've never read a thing Martin Luther wrote.

The Semitic people are middle easterners, today's Jews and Arabs and at one time other groups who no longer exist.

Couldn't be bothered to do a Google huh?

I think you are taking the enslavement and killing out of context - I understand these penalties were proposed for those who used their false religion as a weapon. But even if you're not, what he proposed was far less evil than what's happening in Palestine at the moment, which many people - both Jews and Christians - seem to be okay with. So whichever way you look at it, it doesn't follow that Martin Luther was more evil than many people in our Western society today.

Lol "You're taking slavery and killing out of context".

You are not a serious person.

You've also clearly never actually read anything Martin Luther wrote.

I knew you'd take your regular seat. The punch is flowing, no pun intended. Sugar cookies anyone? Only snowflake shape because Santa is satan spelled backwards or something, and Christmas trees are idols. And elves are clearly satans minions. Ok, ok, I'll hush, cookies are on the plate help yourselves.
