Merry Christmas everyone....

It's almost over...the parties, the cookies, the chocolate truffles, gingerbread houses and etc....

My sewer line collapsed...so for the past two days I've been digging a ditch under the house and outside. 3 feet deep and 2½ feet wide to run a new one. Not exactly what I had planned for this time of year. I'll take tomorrow off but then it's going to be back to work and hard at it to get it done.

But Christmas Day is usually the day I relax and take a break from all the baking and cooking...oh well. So since it's raining I guess I will too.

My favorite Christmas song!

Wishing you a blessed joyful Christmas

(I tried posting something before but didn't seem to have pressed the right section so I am trying again. If I have now figured out the correct way to reply I hope to chat again with my christian chat friends maybe later in this week)

Mine, too! I like John Berry's rendition .:)

For anyone who may still be up from the Christmas Day celebrations, I decided I would share something more. My previous post that shows up marked 12:36 am I had written the words online from Christmas Day, but the system didn't get through to post it until today December 26th. I tried another post after that one, but it didn't seem to have gone through. I am not an expert at sharing the music videos, but I am going to mention a song that I like and hope it will be a blessing to all of you. If you do an internet search with the words of the song: Jesus I love calling your name, by Shirley Caesar, Utube, you should be able to view the video. Another song that I hope will be spiritually encouraging is: Through it all, by Andrae Crouch on utube

The year 2023 is nearing it's end and I think about what is said in the Bible that one day each person will give an account to God about their life. On the internet I have read articles about people like George Sanders and Whitney Houston who ended their lives tragically through suicide, drug overdose or other ways. However there are other articles and books about people like Corrie, Betsy and Casper Ten Baum. There are people who have faced a lot of suffering, abuse, terrible circumstances, but did not become disillusioned or bitter about life. Their faith in God was able to give them hope to press on and see an eternal perspective. One person said that there is no pit so deep that Jesus is not deeper still (in my understanding I think that says that there is no dept of suffering or degradation in life that Jesus cannot reach there and connect to the hurting human soul and spirit and show the way of hope and deliverance). See Bible verses Revelation 1:8 and Revelation 1:18. God says He is Alpha and Omega and that one day He will either say well done my child welcome to the joys of heaven for eternity or the opposite. My hope is that we will experience the fruits of a life lived God's way, His eternal salvation, redemption

It is frankly terrifying how quickly a person can despair when he feels he has nothing to live for.

It is amazing what a person can endure when he feels like he has something to live for.
