God making regulations to reduce/prevent abuse does not necessarily mean He approves of men's practices.

superior in every way to how slaves were treated in other ancient cultures. Laws indicate
that in Israel the fate of slaves was not nearly as harsh as their conditions elsewhere.

particulars of the laws of slavery in the Torah.

Physical punishment was considered the appropriate response for acts of disobedience and rebellion. Are you familiar with "spare the rod and spoil the child? Same difference. Now the rod has been spared and we are overrun with entitled snowflake lazy brats.

God has always desired people to treat each other better. Let's talk about the flood. More specifically, the reason for it:
The LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great upon the earth, and that every inclination

Not preventing anything. Literally giving instructions who you can buy, who you can beat, who inherits the slave.

The Hebrew people who where linked to Him by the Old Covenant and it was limited to the heathen nations living around them.. See so much detail in my responses.. So nothing was prevented. Prevention would be - do not own people as property. But it literally says the opposite.
And? Why are you bleating about slavery? If you don't like what God said to the Israelites ~3300 years ago, don't follow Him. Nobody's forcing you.
