It's a shame I don't believe anyone got the point of the thread.

Herod is described as having seven heads and ten horns.

Herod received a deadly wound.
Herod's deadly wound has been healed.

13 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
Do you seriously think the above refers to Herod??? He was a beast that rose from the sea, and was like a leopard and had bear's feet and a lion's mouth???

I have.I quoted scripture showing the only person who sought to kill Jesus.

The only person.scripture says tried to kill him.
You need to read your Bible more closely. The Jewish people, led by the Pharisees and Sadducees, were the ones who sought Jesus' death.

I don;t have to

The apostle John said it was the dragon, and mathew says it was herod.

put 2 and 2 together.

This conversation is over..
Put 2 and 2 together? Try reading John's gospel for what it actually says and Revelation for what it actually says. They are totally different.

I saw in a television interview where a group of people smoke hemp, read the Bible, and discuss it. They claim the Bible comes alive to them when they're stoned. This thread seems to resemble that.

Well, that makes two of us. I'm not following the point of the discussion. I feel like I missed an entire page somewhere.

I've read my bible closely.
The Pharisees and sadusees didn't know who Jesus was when he was born.

It was Herod that sought to kill the child.

Mathew 2
13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.

14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:

15 And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.

16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.
17 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying,

18 In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.

Jesus was crucified long before John wrote Revelation.
John saw a vision and he wrote what he saw.
Not everything in tevelation is future.
For Instance.
The beast in revelation 17:8 once existed before John wrote revelation but it did not exist at the time he wrote it.

Revelation 17:8
The beast, which you saw, once was, now is not, and yet will come up out of the Abyss and go to its destruction. The inhabitants of the earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the creation of the world will be astonished when they see the beast, because it once was, now is not, and yet will come.

Not many people get the point.

But as you know ,98 percent of the bible is about Israel .The book of revelation is no different.
There is one king of the Jews. And then there is another king of them who call.themselves Jews and are not.

Everyone in israel.will.recieve the mark of their king.Which king they are of will decide who stays and who goes.

These have to go.

Amos ,5
Did you bring me sacrifices and offerings
forty years in the wilderness, people of Israel?
26 You have lifted up the shrine of your king,
the pedestal of your idols,
the star of your god[b]—
which you made for yourselves.
27 Therefore I will send you into exile beyond Damascus,”
says the Lord, whose name is God Almighty.

I do not deny the resurection of Israel when Israel comes up out of their graves in Ezekiel 37 and I don't deny the reign of Messiah in Ezekiel 37.

I don't know where you get the idea that I deny the reign of Messiah in Ezekiel 37.
Because you said God is done with Israel and he will not restore them.

If you believe something else. then forgive me

The passage is talking at Jesus birth..

Not at his literal death

lol

They speak of the same event.

Why don;t you try reading..

Jesus was born

Immediately after the dragon tried to kill him

who besides herod tried to kill Jesus? Why did God tell Joseph and mary to flee to Egypt?

Um. I see.

The actual dichotomy is Adam or Christ. This includes all who is alive and who have ever been alive.

This is the understanding of Romans 5 (LINK)

While is is not wrong to say some of Israel will be in Christ while some will not, it is not a complete view: this truth is axiomatic for all of humankind.

However, it seems you are focused on making a point rather than inviting discussion. If not, please forgive me. If you want to discuss this further I am certainly willing.

It is a vision.
Are you saying the child who is to rule all nations with a rod of iron is not Christ?
Or is Christ?
Hello
No not at all,
I'm saying that the woman in Rev 12 is Gods organisation who is giving birth (metaphorically) to the Kingdom.
This kingdom of course has Christ as king who will be ruling with a rod of iron...etc...but I DONT want to be Dogmatik about the details, except that it makes no sense that the child in Rev 12 is referring to the birth of Jesus.
However feel free to have an other opinion, it'' our heart condition that is important.
Shalom

Your mistaken.Ive never said God is done with Israel.
In fact I expect about everyone in Israel will be getting the mark of the beast in another year or so.The saints in Israel will be persecuted and killed.
There's a lot to happen In Israel yet.
A remnant will reign with christ and the majority will recieve God's wrath
Yea,still alot to happen in Israel.

thebi le says they will repent and be restored,
