I read this about 15yrs ago, change my whole walk with Jesus. I'm no longer living in doubt and fear.

thanks for adding a description of the books. I thought about that after I made the thread, I should have included what they were about :/ GOOD JOB!! Kudos :D
 
I have enjoyed reading Fireproof and just finished reading Courageous both novels based on screenplays of the same name. I have found them both to be very helpful in not only focusing on God in my marrige but also as the responsibilities that I have as a husband and a father.

I have also read My Life Is Not My Own: Following God No Matter The Cost by Bill Bright and Sweat, Blood & Tears: What God Uses To Make A Man by Xan Hood. Both are extremely helpful for those struggiling with following the crowd and following God and in the later for the young Christian men on how God uses sweat, blood and tears to mold you into Godly men.

its free to read online . read the first 2 pages then u decide if u'll continue or not .
it's really nice , it helped me reopen my eyes and relearn to listen to what God has to say to me , His small and still voice that is often muffled by my own or the world's.

- All of Eric and Leslie Ludy
- Girls Gone Wise in a World Gone Wild by Mary Kassian

I know many more but these are the ones that came to my mind quickly :)

The Shack, by William P. Young
Irresistable Revolution, by Shane Claiborne

Both of these books were recommended to me by friends. They are both incredibly challenging, and reading them really knocked me back quite a bit, and ultimately strengthened my faith.

I LOVED The Shack! So inspiring and eye opening to God's love and presence. I also love to read Frank Peretti and others like him, and I own and have read all the Left Behind series. I love Christain Fiction. It is so inspiring. Would rather read those than all of those "How To" books. However none of them will ever replace the Bible:)

Find it strange? Well I am one of those people who read both the Old and New Testiments and see Jesus on every page! :)
 
"THE FINAL BATTLE" by Hal Lindsey.

an eye opening examination of Bible prophecy. Anything by A.W. Tozer but specifically "The Pursuit of God". The man is one of the most humble yet knowledgeable authors that I have ever read.

Also "The Cost of Discipleship" by Dietrich Bonnhoefer, a German pastor martyred by the Nazis a few short weeks before the end of World War 2. Read this book and you will understand why the devil wanted this guy dead.
