Just curious, you mentioned a painted face, did you mean to paint a camo design on his face? Also the woodland shirt, is that a camo design as well?

That's the first I've heard that one.
When it comes to baby baptism I think of what David said when a tragedy happened in his life. Please pay special attention to verses 18-24.
II Samuel 12
David understood an important doctrine available even in the Old Testament. This should be a comfort to all parents who have lost a child. David was assured of his destiny in Heaven as we see in Psalm 32 and New Testament quotes of King David. In spite of his awful sins of adultery and murder to cover his deed, David still destined for Heaven.
How can this be?
Salvation was never based upon obedience to the laws of God or good works/ deeds.
Salvation was always based on faith.
David was a child of God by faith in the Lord Whom he called upon for salvation.
However, as a child of God, David would be disciplined/ punished as a child while still alive in his mortal body. He would not be going to hell for those sins though.
Did David get away with his sins?
First was the loss of his child. Then a series of events occured that were the most painful reminders he suffered while he lived. There were consequences, but not hell.
12:23
But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.
Since he would go to him some day, that child assuredly preceded his father in Heaven with the Lord.
This is why I don't believe baptism imparts any grace as a sacrament required for heaven as my former Roman Catholic church taught me. A baby is bound for heaven just as he is.
As adults we make that decision to quit trusting in works and instead put 100% of our faith in Christ as described Here. That was the best decision of my life.
