We do have beautiful bodies and should love,respect and care for them all more.
They can be a wonderful tool of expression of our souls.

Its silly the nasty behaviours that go on.
It hurts when people behave badly for no justifiable reason throw hate on you and make you feel horrible.
I moved around a lot from different countries, maybe was concidered wierd (wierdolina :) ) reasons are many.
Hope we get over behaviours like that soon as people we become wiser for our childrens sake also so they dont have to go through it or thnk its "ok" acceptable to treat someone like that.
There are adults that behave in similar ways but its a different type of bullying when they are "adults" and often covered up.

I just know that it feels horrible to hear you are ugly every day for years and years and to feel ugly because of how you are treated (not cause its true)(those who behave in this way need help with their inner beauty...)


I hope and wish the best for us and that we will be happy with the bodies we were given and do with them and use them in good loving way.
Heal what and where we can and be all God wills for us.
My body is now healing from cancer and Im happy with it.Just 3 months ago I weighed 43 kg and had surgery now 3 months later weigh 52 kg (normal weight) and am building and strengthening.

OK now I feel like an idiot for calling you Barbara. Glad you beat cancer. Hope people have stopped causing you unnecessary pain.
 
barbarareinsheep or whatever You're beautiful.. people are jealous so they defect to calling you ugly... I think I'm cute.. and I have no complaints for i did not make myself.. however i will say if this society wasn't so focused on looks we'd be a lot nicer to one another
 
My face looks like its been hit with a Mac Truck. My hair is ridiculous, and the shape of my eyes and my facial features are really weird. There was one arabic woman in my family, just one. It was my moms grandmother. God played a trick on me. My facial features especially the shape of my eyes look exactly like my moms grandmother, The girls at school up until i was a teenager used to make fun of me so bad. They would come up to me pretend to speak some weird language and ask me where my motherland was. Some of the older girls used to just walk right up to me and straight say, Why do you look like that! It's not as bad anymore, but when i get a tan i'll still get people coming up to me asking me what race i am. I have a great personality, but looks wise, i fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.

im really happy with my look because there's no other just like this..n it depends upon the viewer also...sometimes someone told ur beautiful n other told you are so boyish...which one to believe??but i know im not bad as my mirror told me everytime i look

I wouldn't mind changing one thing (straighter teeth, maybe one of those Colgate smiles. ha). For the most part, I'm okay with me though.

Question: Is it like a slap in the face to God if we get down on the looks he's given us?
Sure there are some things we are capable of changing sometimes (NO, I'm not talking about plastic surgery), but some things we are just given to keep.

Also, I am shocked by some of you I've seen post here saying they were ugly or have been called ugly, etc. After looking at a few avatars and profile pics, I just don't get it...and I'm not the only one apparently. :)

Hollynod made a good point about being our own worst critics. That's often very very true.

Emyy makes a good point too. Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. I've been called ugly but also have been called handsome or cute. Further proof of that last point.

Then there is that whole thing of a person's personality effecting how good or not we think they look.

I'm very happy with how I look. But keep in mind that our attractiveness is all relative. Spend a week in Italy and see all of the beautiful people, and then go to the Philippines and see all of the not so attractive people. Within each culture, no matter how attractive the people are, you will always have about the same proportion of people satisfied and dissatisfied with how they look. That "third armpit" comment is a perfect example - what if someone has 3 arms? Weird, right? But what if everyone else has 3 arms and you only have 2? Now who's the weird/unattractive one!?
