It should be the line of sight along the curvature of the earth........ Some atmospheric shifting??

Australia is well known for the amazing natural phenomena of the roll cloud. A roll cloud can be up to 1,000 km (620 miles) long. Either the cloud gets extremely heavy each end or the earth is curved. I know which option Flerfers will choose.
Neither - what you see is the every-day perfectly normal 'perspective' effect - everything aligns with and diminishes to the 'vanishing point' on the horizon.

It is because of the way our eyes work.

This again?

That cloud formation has been mentioned before in reference to flat Earth theory. Do we really have to go here again?

In fact I haven't seen a genuinely new argument for or against flat Earth in the last few threads. Just the same people repeating the same old lines over and over. Sometimes using the same lines multiple times in one thread.

Mind you, I'm not a flat earther. Overwhelming evidence indicates the Earth's round. But it gets really tiring after a while, from both sides.

In Navy Flight School there was no forgiving of believing in a flat earth. Neither theoretically nor practically. A flat earther would run out of fuel somewhere above the pacific en route from Houston to Manila.

Doesn't that describe what the site as a whole has become? Same thread topics rehashed, same users, since not many new people stay for long anymore, same arguments and conversations. This site has become a bit like a record that skips and plays the same part over and over.

I've heard it said you are what you defend. A person who spends all their time and energy defending ingrained beliefs and ideas has no room left to grow. They're stuck.

I suppose this determination would apply to all pseudo-intellectuals also. We must seek the wisdom, understanding and knowledge of our Father, for any such that is derived from this age will certainly be consumed in the fire next time.

I haven't seen you do anything on the forum EXCEPT defending your ingrained beliefs and ideas.

Which is sad, because it seems like you never have any fun at all...

I was about to hit like and say you nailed it but then I figured most people here would probably say the same about me. Maybe I need to sit this one out. :(

Yeah, me too. I’m just going on and on about the same things over and over again. I’m becoming the same chatter box as my mother whining about how bad everything is now compared to before lol.
