No part of the path of a straight-shot flat earth map route from Houston to Manila would even be above the Pacific Ocean. It would, however, be over the following bodies of water:
Arctic Ocean
East Siberian Sea
Sea of Okhotsk
Sea of Japan
East China Sea
Philippine Sea
And - over 75% of the flight would be over land.

Do you really think this map represents the physical reality? Is the shape of the earth a [hollow] cylinder? Or, is it flat and there is some kind of "worm hole" phenomenon that instantly transports you between the eastern edge and the western edge?You have never seen one of these flattened out maps? I have been seeing these for all my eight decades here.
I am guessing that the answer to your question is that it would no longer be 'real'.
