What? Idk. Romans 10:13. A person can just pray a sinner’s pray “Lord forgive me a sinner.”

Why do you ask? Are you ministering to someone and they asked you that? Or are you asking for yourself?
I’m wondering what your talking about being saved from is all lol so I asked I meant nothing by it sorry

As usual you did not understand the words of Jesus, it is for you to search for the meaning figure out why he was not saved, but i think you may know why.

you can consult commentaries to help you with this.
The answer is simple: the law is a schoolmaster to lead people to Christ. That's exactly what happened in the story. The law led the rich young ruler to Christ...literally. But he rejected Christ in favor of riches.
The law couldn't save him. Christ could have.

I don't need a commentary to understand scripture. I have the Holy Spirit. Try reading John 5:39-40. This is what happened to the rich young ruler, the Pharisees, and all who rely on their keeping of the law.

No, I’m sorry Pilgrim for reacting wrongly. I guess it’s being saved from Death and Hell, or whatever bad situation youre in. For Peter, he saw the waves and cried out to Jesus and Jesus saved him. I apologize for my attitude. 😊

yep it led them here so they could hear the word promising life

“For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:22, 24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:45‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:34-36‬ ‭

Mankind had already been condemned to death by sin when the law was given made thier lifespan 120 years in genesis 6 way before the law . The law says if they obey it perfectly they’ll be blessed and then die like Moses it’s mediator at 120 (Deuteronomy 34:7)

eternal life wasn’t offered in the Bible until the messiah came it was always promised for when he came preaching salvation from death and offering life everlasting ( the good news to mortals condemned to death is God has offered us life everlasting in the gospel )

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?”
‭‭John‬ ‭11:25-26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

not so, I do not want you to believe something false, here is why:
The passage doesn't explicitly state whether the young man's observance of the commandments would have led to eternal life. What it does reveal is that Jesus saw something lacking in the young man's commitment to God. Jesus KNEW that the young man's attachment to his wealth was a barrier preventing him from fully dedicating himself to God's kingdom. So, while the young man may have followed the commandments outwardly, his heart was still fixated on his possessions. Jesus's instruction to sell his possessions and follow him wasn't just about relinquishing wealth; it was about surrendering his entire being to God. So, it's not that keeping the commandments is insufficient, but rather, true discipleship requires a wholehearted commitment to God, which includes prioritizing spiritual values over material possessions.

Remember the first 4 commandments, Jesus summarized them they mean to love God with all your heart all your strength, how can you do that if you persue transitory riches that cannot save?

Blessings.

if you knew like you claim then why ask the question, you see the result, someone may believe the wrong thing you said. Shame on you for confusing people here.

““No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” The Pharisees, who loved money, heard all this and were sneering at Jesus.”

Also right. However, it takes an act of faith to believe God will give you the ability to make a wholehearted commitment. For example: When God lays on your heart to fast and pray for a time. At first, you think about work and energy and circumstances, but you enter into the fast trusting God to work out those things to enable you to commit to the time fasting and prayer. You do the act, and then the commitment follows.

Who said it was? But following salvation, baptism is commanded for believers.

So which common man washed you and made you clean?

Word: baptizw
Pronounce: bap-tid'-zo
Strongs Number: G907
Orig: from a derivative of 911; to immerse, submerge; to make whelmed (i.e. fully wet); used only (in the New Testament) of ceremonial ablution, especially (technically) of the ordinance of Christian baptism:--Baptist, baptize, wash. G911

if you knew like you claim then why ask the question, you see the result, someone may believe the wrong thing you said. Shame on you for confusing people here.
So when Jesus asked questions to subjects He knew the answers to, He was attempting to confuse people?
You had to clarify your own answer to another poster just a moment ago. Were you attempting to confuse?
Asking questions is done for a variety of reasons. You assumed a wrong reason. Were you attempting to confuse?

But so there is no doubt, my intention was to raise the specter of the ability of the law to bring life to fallen flesh. The fault doesn't lie in the law. The fault is with fallen flesh. But regardless, only Christ Himself can give life because life is only found in Him.

The question "how to be saved"

Not by might or by anything we can do but by the power of Christ.

Faith in Jesus and what Jesus has done.

External power. But we need Faith.

You pray “Jesus, forgive me of my sins. Come into my life and save me. I believe that You died on the cross for me and I want you to be Lord of my life. I surrender my life to you Jesus right now. I receive you. Thank you for saving me.”

If you have prayed this prayer please let us know. It’s important to find a church to go to and tell the pastor what you gave done. If you can’t, then write this prayer out and sign it and date it and save it. It’s important to follow up with water baptism as a symbol of what you’ve done.

Here’s some scripture references
Roman’s 3:23, 5:8, 6:23, 10:9-10, 13.
Revelation 3:20.
Now this is a better topic. I'm sure it will get very busy here.
I will sign your salvation document and PDF it you.

Thank you.
