This is descriptive of OCD, and I have a touch of that also although my life is chaotic enough I can't tell exactly where manifests. And ADD sounds cooler than the explanation, if I put off anything I start then I never finish it, and I don't know what to call that. Does procrastination necessarily imply an event coming back to a project? Idk, perhaps the best description is 'flighty.'
At any rate, that cc has held my interest this long speaks volumes for it and, more accurately, it speaks volume of my regard for the personalities that constitute the population here. For a while I frequented CBN's member forums but found cc when I followed the search engine's retrieval of a comment made by a member called Therapon, shortly before his subsequent going to rest until the resurrection. He had made aware his actual name, Skoffield, who founded Fish House Ministries and left writings and a few YouTube videos elaborating on his opinion of scripture. I couldn't find much I disagreed with, although my exposure to him was limited. He was in his late 80s, he reached 89 I think, I recall mention of his coming bday. So, I have 30something years to eventually take up his mantle, if I don't put it off too long.

That brought me here, but it was the live chat that secured my interest, enough that I've remained after it crashed, waiting for it to resume. I probably wouldn't have very ventured much into any extensive involvement in the thread discussion if were for such event. I don't regret it though, I've adapted nicely. As Bruce Lee once advised, "Be water, my friend."well since I just do it with labels and knick knacks in the house, let's not label me as compulsive just yet. my desk is messy, so maybe I have split personality too?
don't talk to me about procrastination. my husband is the world's champion there. if it wasn't for me, I think he would still be deciding if he should have got up this am....bit of an exaggeration there
I've only been on Christian forums but for a good number of years. interesting way that you managed to find CC.
I never joined the chat although I was invited...some years back but it was pretty wild then. I have enough with the threads where you can think about an answer or even if you want to answer at all. I'm afraid I might have said 'shut up already' and been banned in live chat.
I remember someone writing about a woman in chat who said her animals would verbally speak to her...or something like that...and he was really up in the air about it...got himself banned...but I think the nutcase continued...at least for awhile.
It's always the native nuts that make it difficult for people to discuss in a way that represents a fair exchange. Not to mention the 'experts' who use this place as their official platform since any church they might have tried to use, sent them off with a fare thee well nutter and get some help.
The number of responses that deal with someone asking for proof or authenticity from someone making grandiose statements about what they believe and how they have 'studied' and would you like to have their notes that they put together while burning the midnight oil, are a little over the top. 'Because it's me and I studied' is not proof and besides you are just stupid anyway, is both funny and sad.
I don't know how many times I have been told to 'go read your Bible' or 'you are not saved' or 'that is not the correct interpretation. (In order to reach the right answer, you must slam together unrelated subjects and compress them to mean the same thing and ignore all scripture that does not lend itself to such endeavors.' )
I could go on but I am sure I don't have to.
