We are different physically and emotinally we (woman)were taken out of Adam.
God took something from Adam that does not complete it self until we are one.
That's why we work together a lot better when there's two... if of course we love each other the way God intended.
If we love our husband the way God intended or love your wife the way God intended we complete each other.
Men have weaknesses that women don't.
Women have weaknesses that men don't.
I am glad we are different I don't want a man that is like me.
The world now is so backwards it has gone from one extreme to another.I believe in womens rights! But women we are not men!

Actually maddy if you go back to the first thread it says well.... what it says.
Women ( I propose) do have an inately and generally speaking better capability with interpersonal communications than men do (NOT ALL THOUGH). This stems (i believe from thousands of years of the female of our species (once again generally speaking) being at home or in the village or whatever you will constantly having to communicate with those around them children, neighbours, other women etc. .
Men on the other hand tend to be less communicative (probably because they spent much of their time in a field or hunting therefore they did not get as much practice at interpersonal communication and focused on other things.
I.E. better weapons for hunting, better implements for farming etc. Yes we have some slightly different representations of our bodies but as I said before àre we all not children of God.
I find it is better to focus on the similarities than the differences and this I guess is my point. For when we focus on the differences sooner or later it leads to someone thinking that they are better than their fellow man or woman. I.E Are men logical and women emotional This question in itself, when you really look at it, only serves the purpose of division of the sexes because it labels 1 sex or the other with certain attributes that are found in both sexes and in so doing we find ourselves aligning with whatever side we feel we associate more closely with ergo separation between the sexes.

It`s only my opinion take it for what it`s worth to you

In no way can a man live without a woman nor a woman without a man.We need each other. What I am saying is there is nothing wrong with being different because we are. God created us that way.In no way does it mean one is better than the other.Both sexes play an important part in this world.I understand what your saying about focusing on the similarities because of on sex may think their better.
My opinion is we are different, and I don't find that meaning I'm the better sex, or that Men are. Though I do think we are the better looking :)

That is really all I'm was hoping we could acknowledge....That we are different and those differences may have been emphasised by God for a reason....AGAIN It has nothing to do with spiritual levels or who washes and who cooks....
Adam by himself had everything he needed; for companionship sake Eve was created, but Eve was not formed from the earth like Adam; some stuff was taken from adam to make eve...So in this natural world where we live there are some things that we took from Adam, that the Adams have to come back to us to get...lol.

It would seem the proposition, "Men are logical; women are emotional" is speaking as a generality, not neccesarily a specific every single event that ever occurs. If that is what they do intend, then it is wrong.

I just wanted to say that this is a stereotype created by society. Not all women are emotional, and not all men are logical. Of course at the same time we are all a bit of both. Society just somewhere through history decided that because men where said to be the leader of a family (the Bible) that they should be the logical ones who make all the "right" decisions, and women, because we are the ones who have children, are emotional in their thinking therefore weak. The truth is both men and women have emotions, and both men and women will act based on their emotions. Also women can make good logical decisions just like any man. The only real difference is that men and women look at things differently.

Every human being puts more weight on emotion than facts (unless they have some kind of disorder).

We are all emotional beings and how we feel will often weight information incorrectly. EVERYONE does this, regardless of gender. Where they place the weights could change, but they are there nonetheless.

Example: If you're scared of terrorists, you may take precautions and change your behavior. It is incredibly unlikely that you will die in a terrorist attack, but the emotional weight of such an event makes it FEEL more likely, so you don't get on the plane with the Muslims, you look suspiciously at foreigners and you avoid certain situations that you think could increase the odds (public events and the like)

You are more likely to die of a heart attack or a car accident...but that doesn't make people care more about diet and exercise or driving safely.

Men are not more logical than women and women are not more emotional than men. There is no good science backing up such a thing and the differences between men and women in the Bible are really just social.

Men and Women are equal in all extends, I know women that very logical and men that are emotional. The phrase seems more like insult to women.

ok... I'm sure most of us could kick a guys butt anyday...... So what would be the correct interpretation of this scripture with emphasis of the underlined portion.
