Having a chain of command doesn't negate ultimate authority. Everyone below the level of President is under the authority of the President.

It's no different from any company. The owner of the company may delegate to individuals to oversee the different divisions of the company, but the owner still has authority over every employee there.
The president can’t override the authority of the prosecutors. That’s one example.

Why does Trump say 1) He doesn’t know about them, and 2) He doesn’t agree with all their opinions?

Just one thing for starters: the entire executive branch will be under direct control of the president?

That’s extremism 101.
He said he had nothing to do with it and doesn't agree with it. That doesn't stop people from bearing false witness and saying it's his agenda.

Prosecutors are in the Judicial branch. The President has no say over that branch of government. The President can, however, pardon those convicted of federal crimes or commute sentences.

The Department of Justice does fall under the Executive branch. The President does select the head of the department, subject to congressional approval. The department was originally begun to assist the President and Cabinet in matters of law as well as to prosecute Supreme Court cases. Of late, it has been used to attack political foes.

That's incorrect. US Attorneys are in the Executive Branch.
See post 185.
Initially, I was simply trying to show that the President has authority over the entire Executive branch. When I saw that my answer might be confusing, I added additional information.

Yeah, anyone who says Biden wasn't involved in political prosecutions hasn't been watching.

I've never understood why anyone thinks there should be unelected bureaucrats who are accountable to no one in charge of government agencies that can take away your rights, livelihood and freedom.

Supposedly they are accountable, like any employee is. And it's not like the bureaucrats aren't doing the bidding for the one in charge.
Politics is like a very large ship. It takes a long time to turn around.
What I don't get is why people put up with it. Our founders would have got their powder and got their gun, and reported to General Washington.

Big fuss over absolutely nothing as usual. Trump derangement syndrome. Just looking for problems where none exist.
It's shameful for Christians to be inflamed by this satanic, Marxist hatred that is tearing civilisation apart.

It's okay i understand how left-wing Wiki works and it's not the "conservative" word that bothers me. Maybe it would bother a leftist.
I was going for the actual details despite on how leftist wiki labels them with their slogans.
If you have the time read the actual document, all the policy recommendations are reasonable and doable.

I can already see that most of them are reasonable and i agree with most of them after reading the Wiki.
But i also did see their website and it was quite extensive as i mentioned. So, i was looking for a summary which is why i checked the wiki.

If you have a summary i'd appreciate it if you list them here.
A lot of the items that are mentioned in the wiki have to do with the sovereignty of a nation, improvement of the family unit and the dismantling of DEI which in-turn will improve the quality of the work in every field.
All of these are very reasonable goals.

The way this document has been attacked is impressive, fifty years ago I am sure many of the recommendations in this document would have been viewed as mainstream.

I found this link helpful to dispel all the misinformation out there.

Sounds good to me!!

De-Weaponize the Federal Government and Dismantle the Deep State
Project 2025’s policy reforms would restore self-governance to the American people by:
  • Firing supposedly “un-fireable” federal bureaucrats.
  • Closing wasteful and corrupt bureaus and offices.
  • Eliminating woke propaganda at every level of government.
  • Restoring the American people’s Constitutional authority over the administrative state.
  • Returning governing power to the Congress and President instead of unelected bureaucrats.

Totally agree with that and especially DEI.
How can anyone take you seriously when you want to present yourself like a clown?

According to the Oxford languages Dictionary, one of the definitions of agenda is:
-a plan of things to be done or problems to be addressed

Since it is inevitable that somebody's project will be ratified by the upcoming election, might we be able to compare each groups agenda side-by-side to see which one is most avoidable?

For example, if it is the agenda to 'normalize' gender identity then, does that cause a deviation of the commonly understood constructs of gender? Am I now, officially, a sexual deviant?

Secure the border.
Very realistic and makes sense. You don’t leave the door of your house open at night do you?

Unleash American Energy.
Absolutely! It’s a big country with great potential.

De-Weaponize the Federal Government and Dismantle the Deep State
Noble goal but you also have to factor-in that the next Dem president can undo your changes.

Improve education.
Absolutely! Stop confusing kids and teach them math instead.

End Dei
I love it!

Promote and expedite capital punishment.
Not too sure about this one. While I realize that some people wait 20 years on death row for execution wasting resources, I also realize that the new DNA methods to identify a person accurately 100% should speed up the whole process.
And I’m not so sure that executing someone is a good idea but some families want to see their killers dead so maybe it’s a personal issue like abortion.

Outlaw pornography.
I think this is a good idea. The internet has harmed a lot of young people.

Also it’s good to see that they are not cutting medicare.

This is the problem with all of this. Years ago I was discussing this in a local news forum re: the marriage arguments. Knowing this is all at root an attack against God, I told argued that this was not about marriage but was an ongoing deviation from a standard. Just as there were previous deviations, there would be continuing deviations and ultimately this would be about God creating in kinds. And once we go to that level anything goes - in practice there are no standards.

From the Theological Workbook of the Old Testament re: various Hebrew words translate as "sin":

Thus like other words related to the notion of "sin" it assumes an absolute standard or law. But, whereas pesha signifies a "revolt against the standard," and awâ means either "to deviate from the standard" or "to twist the standard," hata means "to miss, to fall short of the standard. The Greek word anomia "sin," consists of the privative prefix with the word for "law," thus "without law." Therefore judgment is implied, for the law in fact is binding even if the sinner thinks himself to be "without law."

Things like this were at the heart of the debates over Theonomy, which at root asks "By What Standard" - God's or man's?
