I rode mid size cruisers for 25 years. Stopped in 2000. If you're looking for another bike I suggest looking at the Tuono line.
Even the 250cc has a top end of just over 100 mph
I would like to get another one, but my wife is so happy I finally got off of them, I don't think I could do that to her.
I rode a couple of 650's before I went full cruiser.... there is a lot to be said for "nimble"... a 550# bike is a lot more manageable than one that is nearly 1000#....

Zander mentioned a 3 wheeler too.
A tractor to clear my field would be the first priority. I've seen ATV s do it towing a wide mower, but I will have to study up on them when I get back to work and put enough aside.
I have woods too, so something to pull a wagon load of firewood is a priority as well.
I needed something for working around on my land, as well... I decided on the Kawasaki Mule 4010. Basic, minimum "frills", but it is a real workhorse. 4WD if needed... I think it is rated to pull almost 2000 pounds, and will carry about 1000 pounds in the bed. Great vehicle.... this is mine, when I picked it up at the dealership...

That looks more like a golf cart than an ATV. Not saying that it doesn't work for you at hauling stuff....but the wheel width and suspension doesn't look like it will withstand or travel very rough terrain.

I guess looks can be deceiving.... although, I don't know what you would consider "rough" terrain... this is a pic of the terrain I go across every time I work my property... down through the small creek and up around behind the treeline... the "arrow" shows the route... the picture is taken with me standing about 3/4 of the way down to the treeline... it takes about 5 minutes to get from the entry (south side) of the property to the north end. ..... the second pic is behind the treeline, where I was clearing red cedars off my fenceline.
Again, it's a 4WD, and has handled all the terrain easily. A golf cart, it ain't.

and for perspective.... this is a pic taken about 100 yds from my south fenceline, looking back north toward that treeline. The "arrow" shows the treeline.

Harley-Davidson Facing Boycott over DEI Pride Events FOR KIDS
by Olivia Cook | Natural News
July 30th 2024, 6:31 am
Motorcycle company goes the same gay route as tractor manufacturer John Deere recently went.
If it's American, it's probably gay.

Iconic motorcycle brand Harley-Davidson is facing criticism from conservative groups for its promotion of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies, including supporting Pride events that target children.

The company, which generates $6 billion annually and is known for its tough, rebellious image, is under fire after critics highlighted its DEI initiativesand urged riders to boycott the brand.
Robby Starbuck, an online influencer, has been very vocal about exposing Harley-Davidson’s support for various progressive causes, including policies on transgender care for children, critical race theory and prioritizing minority groups in business.
This backlash is similar to those faced by other companies, like John Deere and Bud Light, which have been criticized for their support of LGBTQ+ and other progressive causes which harm consumers and turn them away.

Supporters of DEI initiatives argue that they help increase the representation of women and ethnic, sexual and gender minorities in the workplace. However, critics view these efforts as “Tokenistic” and believe they disproportionately impact straight White men.
Starbuck, a former House candidate for the Republican primary in Tennessee, expressed his concern, stating that Harley-Davidson seems to have lost touch with its core customer base. He cited several examples of the company’s actions, such as supporting the Democrat-sponsored Equality Act, funding Pride events and requiring employees to undergo LGBTQ+ ally training, among others.

According to Starbuck, Harley-Davidson’s CEO Jochen Zeitz has pushed the company towards a more progressive stance, including a commitment to DEI policies. These efforts have included forming partnerships with organizations like the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce and the Human Rights Campaign and supporting initiatives like the “United for Equity” program by United Way. The company has also introduced employee resource groups that focus on gender, race and sexual identity.

Starbuck encouraged conservative customers to voice their concerns and consider whether Harley-Davidson’s values align with their own. He suggested that consumers use their purchasing power to support companies that reflect their values and avoid those that promote ideologies they disagree with.
Harley-Davidson has been a symbol of freedom and rebellion for over a century. Known for its iconic motorcycles and the culture of independence it represents, the brand has attracted a diverse group of riders who value the open road and the sense of adventure that comes with it.

Many customers alienated by Harley-Davidson’s new direction
There are mixed reactions to Harley-Davidson’s actions. While some people support the company’s efforts to be more inclusive and diverse, others feel alienated. Social media has played a significant role in spreading both support and criticism, showing how public opinion is divided on this issue.
Harley-Davidson has not publicly responded to criticisms but the controversy reflects a broader trend of conservative-led boycotts against brands that support progressive policies. While some customers may find Harley-Davidson’s DEI efforts uncontroversial, others feel alienated by the company’s direction, The situation highlights the challenges companies face in navigating social and political issues in today’s divided climate.
As Harley-Davidson navigates this controversy, questions remain about how it will balance its traditional image with new social responsibilities. The company is at a crossroads – trying to reconcile differing viewpoints among its customer base. Customers are encouraged to express their opinions respectfully, as their feedback is crucial in shaping the company’s future direction.

I went and read the DM article that's cited in your post, and I noticed the the source for these claims is "Robby Starbuck, an online influencer" who merely makes some accusations in his video.

What specifically has HD done that is so terrible?

From a business standpoint, since support for LGBTQ rights is a majority position among the American public, it kinda makes sense for companies to also support it, right?

But I guess if a business saying "we support rights for LGBTQs" is a deal breaker for you, that's certainly your right as a consumer.

You will have to forgive my perception....that is not what I meant by rough terrain. Gentle rolling hills and flat plain is not what I'm used to. I've lived in Mountains most of my life. From Catskills, Appalachian, Sawtooth, Poconos and Rockies I've been to them all.

Sure I've been in the valleys too....especially now down here in flat Georgia and Alabama....it's flat. So...when I think ATV it's for climbing over boulders through or jumping over creek beds....places you would usually hike or take a pack horse in the mountains. Not a lot of flat pasture lands there. All uphill or downhill. Not much in between. So I envisioned trails for your "mule" or "gator" which is what I would call that. And with that 4wheel drive it's perfect for the terrain you showed.

I understand.... I've spent quite a bit of time in and around Lake City Colorado.... been over Engineer and Cinnamon passes a bunch of times... 4WD only ... I wouldn't hesitate to do it in the Mule... apparently these folks wouldn't either... it's a pretty tough side by side....

That is major power. It's hard to believe that they came so far with those with suspension, a high torque tranny and engine.

Nice choice. That would definitely tow a load of firewood through the woods and a mower.
🙂👍

I think I posted that direct Starbuck video in the second page. Glad you go to source material. I had a hard time pulling it up for the OP.

From a business standpoint, they can promote the sodomites and they DID. I saw the CEOs statements and what he tried to do.
The Harley folks are distancing themselves from the corporate policy.
I doubt if the Harley dealers are getting the crowds that threaten and protest churches rushing out to buy their bikes.
Once the Harley franchise contracts run out, I won't be surprised if many dealers sell another brand or ATVs instead.

The problem with LGBTPQs are:
1. They are unsaved and will go to hell if they don't reject their self righteousness and trust Christ.
2. As a group, they tend to be violent and I don't want to have anything to do with violent criminals.
3. They as a group are implacable and insist on everyone promoting their perversion.
4. God blessed the kings that removed them from the land. On the other hand, He rained fire and brimstone on the cities that had a majority that supported them.

That said, I hope they do >This<.

I guess we'll see if that's how things go.

Well that's true of every group of non-Christians.

2. As a group, they tend to be violent and I don't want to have anything to do with violent criminals.
Do you have some data showing that LGBTQs are more violent than the rest of the population?

3. They as a group are implacable and insist on everyone promoting their perversion.
I haven't seen any LGBTQ group do that. Do you have examples?

4. God blessed the kings that removed them from the land. On the other hand, He rained fire and brimstone on the cities that had a majority that supported them.

That's up to God.

Are you actually saying that LGBTQs and Harley Davidson are the equivalent of Hitler?

Also, I have to wonder how a pride event equals a mandate that everyone accept them. After all, we're all free to attend or not attend as we see fit, right? Plus, I'm pretty sure every pride event also has its share of Christian protesters.

..........

Go back and read what I actually wrote. Hitlers view on propaganda paraphrased was "if you tell a lie loud enough, and long enough eventually people will believe it" It speaks to ideas not groups or businesses. Do your own research to confirm.

YOU used the word "mandate" not me. pride events promote an idea and the same principle of propaganda applies. Also as a side note, pride is the #1 reason for the destruction of sodom was pride .

............

You said LGBTQs "insist on everyone promoting their perversion". If they were actually doing that and were successful that would be a mandate, wouldn't it?

Well the good thing is (assuming you live in the US) you're entirely free to ignore them, or if you feel strongly even protest and speak out against it all.
