I was just trying to add a bit of humor...
I know Gary. Sorry if I offended. I did chuckle at the granny reference.

If it's any consolation, I think I've got both you gentlemen beat.

My Grandma had a gentleman caller who once avidly described to me his patent-pending method of shooting, killing, and CROCK POT-ING a BEAVER on his property.

He emphasized that the PAWS were "the best part," -- "GOOOOD EATIN'," he said, licking his chops.

I was utterly horrfied (HOW DO YOU EVEN FIT A BEAVER IN A CROCK POT???!!!)

I'm just a simple girl from the suburbs -- this was way more than my gastronomical system could even handle thinking about.

zoomed in with photoshop. It is/was a racoon less the head - sorry
I must admit I never even thought of doing that but then again I have enough trouble with my scratch disks being full and having to close and reopen the program because things won't save or a tool won't function... that just to look at something like that in photoshop never even occurred to me LOL... Then there are other times when the program decides to close itself because of a scratch disk error and so I've gotten into the habit... which I must admit is a good one... but anyway I've gotten into the habit of saving things at just about every step of the way so I don't lose much if any work when that happens 😁

I understand your troubles with PS. I'm running pscs2 and have gotten very comfortable with it. On windows xp it runs just fine.. On windows 7 there are frequent gliches where it pretty much does what it wants. A Canon RAW shot from a 30d body opens with xp but neither Raw with the 30d or the 40d will open with win7. So for the occasional critical work where I need RAW I have to use the 30d and use the slower xp computer to process.

My favorite process is to shoot with the 30d RAW and save the processed file as a 16 bit TIF in ProPhoto color space for the really fine adjustments. Drop to 8bit jpeg as the final product The 30 has just enough resolution to give an 8x12 at 300 dpi full frame.

It's kinda sad that the 30 cost around $1400 new and is selling for around
$150 now. I picked up the 40 used from B&H Photo a couple of years ago
for $150. body only

There was an old fella that had never tried an ice-cream.. after he saw many people waiting in line at the truck, he thought it must be good…so thought why not.. the line was very long but he waited excitedly as those ahead got their ice cream.. finally the man got to the front and bought his ice cream… he had a taste and spat it out.. “what is wrong?” asked the server..” I waited so long in the line that it has gone cold”…

lol! Awful, but I tried.
