Hello,
is it wrong to pray and ask God to protect our property? I have an older vehicle that needed repairs and I had them done. Now I want to ask Him to protect the truck from further issues.
Thanks

No not wrong at all but it will take faith. If we know He hears us then we know we have the petitions/prayers we asked for. What ever we desire when we pray believe you receive it (there's the faith) you will have it. Gods will is Gods word. Now if we doubt let not that man think he will get anything from God. Ever promise of God is yes and amen there are no ifs ands or buts. If God said it He does it period.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. As He told me a few months ago "don't entertain doubt". See its not what we say and believe. You need to find it and believe. Ask pray.. have Him show you just what you should be praying. He will give you the scripture so forth so on. Faith always moves God.

It is definitely not wrong to ask God to protect your property. "And deliver us from evil" in the Lord's Prayer covers that. We need to ask God to deliver us daily from evil and from the evil one. Destroying or stealing someone else's property is just evil. So leave it with the Lord. He watches over the sparrows.

We should pray for protection. I used to be in sales on the road with a company car. There were times when I wondered if there was an invisible target on my car I had so many accidents. Very few were my fault. When I learned to pray for protection, the accidents stopped.

Precious friend, No:

"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with
thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the Peace of God,
which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. " (Philippians 4:6-7 AV)
Amen.

שלום עליכם
Shalom, God's peace be with you.

Ask whatever you want, but at the end of your prayer add: "however, not my will, but Yours may be done. You know the best what I need the most. Provide for my needs according to Your wisdom and Providence. No one is smarter than You, o Lord. In Jesus name I pray, amen."

May God be with you. Praise Jesus.

I pray each day for God to bless my car and also my driving. Also, I pray for God to protect my house and my home. No, it's not wrong at all to pray for God to protect your property.

It is always wise to pray for travel mercies before each trip, no matter how short or long.

There is nothing wrong in speaking with God for help or protection or expressing our concerns or revealing to us His Holy Truth. Just keep in mind the principles Christ taught in His example prayer for us.

..Thy will be done, as in heaven, so on earth. We should always give way to God's will for us. It may not be as we requested but we know it is for our good.
.. Give us this day our daily bread. This magnifies God giving to us our "NEEDS" - not necessarily our wants and desires.

Keep these in mind, as you pray to your heavenly Father but do talk with Him as you would a beloved Father. Tell Him of the things you might think are silly or to foolish to trouble Him with. Our Lord Jesus Christ, tells us to approach the Throne of Grace boldly. Just as a beloved son would do.

Just don't forget... Not my will but Your will be done Father.

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink, nor about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit to his span of life?[f] 28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin; 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O men of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek all these things; and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well. Matthew 6

Some blessings are ours for being righteous, but being grateful and thankful is most important

Ask accordingly g to God's will for you. Understand if we do not get what we ask for. then there must be an excellent reason why, that we might not yet see.
At least that be for me, seeing this now, According to God's will, I found out my will can seriously be in the way of what seriously is best for me.
It is great you got this car repaired.
Be you as restored first above everything else. Stand in trust to God, if you do not get what you ask for. I believe Gods knows what is best for each of us, in the long run, over the short run. I trust God you are protected by God all in all. Remembering the rain rains on us all no matter who we are. It does not decide who to rain on.
Life here has its troubles, I have been in them myself and have not quit belief to God, and will not, even as in the book of Job tells me to stand in belief and not deny God, no matter what troubles happen
