Hey Guys! My name is Nathan.

I'm a Christian and I have been dealing with the struggles of porn and masturbation. Over these last few years it has become an addiction. Recently I have been improving a lot on the porn side. When I was younger I would probably look 2-3 times a week. Now it's usually 3-4 weeks I go without. I looked today and I know it was a stupid mistake. It's a stupid mistake every time I do it. A few weeks ago I made the move to get rid of almost all access to the internet I had. I took internet off my phone and I sold my PS3 that had internet access. I have a laptop that I use daily for main purposes. I put a free accountability software on it called x3 watch. It has helped. But today Satan just took over my thoughts and it led me to taking the x3 watch off and then I looked at porn. I was not proud of myself. But I reinstalled it back on.

I just need to learn discipline myself in the first place. Even though satan puts these sexual and impure thoughts into my head, I need learn to get myself out of the temptation and look to God for help. But doing so has been tough for me lately and idk why. Any who I would prefer men to answer and give me advice, but women are most certainly available to do that as well. I would just like to know of any bible verses regarding tempation, impure thoughts, lust, etc. Once I take a look at them, I need to read them over and over again and meditate on them. I'll probably memorize them. Reading God's word does help me understand that what I have been doing is wrong and sinful and that I need to do my best to stop it. Thank you to those who read this. I appreciate it! :)

Memorizing bible verses is not going to help at all. You'll always have this desire.

BTW, Masturbation is good for your health. Not good to hold it all in. :)

O... my....God.... What you just said is wrong on so many different levels... I'm not even going to break it down.

Btw you should not be on a Christian forum telling people that its good for you and that he will always do it, its shameful and it needs to understood that its not good for the soul. In fact it is dangerous to the soul, it means a person has become more fleshly and less spiritual. The mind of the flesh becomes strengthened and then the demons can work their way in to make it harder to stop.
It can cause spiritual death, shame, bitter feelings, and depression. Also it is a sign of pride for a person to persist in this sin even when he has the ability to avoid the temptation.

Many people have trouble with this Nathan, its because of the technology and perverted people who want to film prostitutes for money. Its their fault as much as it is our fault for making porn so easily available to us via computers and internet (heck even cell phones nowadays). The fact that you're only a few clicks away from the sin makes it so much harder not to fall into it. It is a great evil for people to film that stuff for people to watch. These are things that have never been available to the human race until the 21st century, and the destruction and evil of them are apparent. Many many people deal with this evil, many millions of children and teenagers have already stumbled across porn on the internet, almost all not knowing the evil they were getting themselves into.

The sexual desire is the most base and powerful one of the flesh, it should have no part in our daily lives. It can only be controlled by Jesus Christ and his Holy Spirit. The temptations and pitfalls are coming from the firy darts of the evil one, but if we have the energy of Christ in us, in the temple of our bodies, then we can overcome and defeat these temptations. know also that when a person succumbs to these temptations, even when he has a way of escape, this means that he has fallen into pride. Pride comes from doing one's own will. The evil will which is the will of the flesh described by St Paul. 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

(Romans*8:5-7*KJV)

But he tells us that Jesus Christ can defeat the evil mind of the flesh in these verses:

21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

(Romans*7:21-25*KJV)

Hope this helps. You are definitely not alone, we need some serious help from above if we are to root out this evil desire inside ourselves. You should even weep and moan over it before God, because that way you can learn to hate it, and to remove the desire from yourself.

Sorry to read you are addicted to this and it can be very destruktive.
I have also overcome addictions such as ciggaretes, sleeping tablets...so I know it can be done with will and determination.

Perhaps if you try to find a spiritual sex/love life that is not addiction or destruktive but is love and positive.
It can be just by lying down in bed and feel like a gentle kiss.

I understand the viewpoint that its good for you but so is not always the case and it can be destruktive and addictive.
Can give release in muscle tention and stress but so can other things.

A good touch is good for you.
A touch of love and care.
Perhaps massage your feet instead of your lovewand :)
Or massage your hands.Make a sensual time for a good touch.
Apply body lotion after shower.

To get over a addiction it is said to be good to replace it with something else that is more "upbuilding" and good for you.
What might that be?
What could you replace your addiction with that is good for you?
a hot bath , a jog, a ........

I agree with this also though as I have experienced demonic behavioures of lust and the damage it can do.There is no care for anyone or anything but for the lust, own sexual desires on anyones expense and suffering....

I have experienced rape of soul and that comes from lust and its hard noncaring lusty energies with out the love.It is demonic and I was subjected to it against my will for many years and it was agonising, torture.(long story wont write here)

I dont masturbate (been there done that ;) wasnt for me ) but beleive in a spiritual lovemaking and that is what I want, the emphasis is move love than lust and fleshy
Because Ive experienced this for ten yrs against my will (cant begin to explain what happened) I
Maybe you should ask advice, help , talk... from someone close you can trust or to a priest or if they have a online help site for addiction to porn

However you want your sexual lovelife to be is your choice but if it is a addiction then you should be helped if you cant do it yourself.
Determination and will can get you through it though along with prayer and support and understanding.

I cant really advise you in anyway but to seek help to break addiction if you are unable to break it yourself.
Not fun watch porn 24/7 when its a sun shining outside ;) rise n shine love wand can stop risen for a while and let the rest of body go out and enjoy the sun.

(sorry if cant be of any more help)

But there is help to receive for addiction if your will and determination isnt pulling you through.
(im not to drink alcohol anymore after this week, nada, not a drop, not even a glass of wine with dinner because I know I have a longing for it and I would gladly drink 3 bottles of wine even if i only drink one glass the longing is still there and its not good fuel that so shall quit drinking alchol all 2gether and focus on more positive welldoing things like horse )

Hey Nathan! You see the devil will always tempt us in our weak places, and contrary to what Nawo said you can defeat him and his temptations using the word of God. When Jesus was tempted by the devil, he always replied by saying "It is written..." and the devil could not go on because of the power of the Word of God!
When ever I am tempted to sin in anyway I always confess with my mouth that I am dead to sin and it has no place in me. We have been freed from all sin and death (Rom. 8:1- 2)
Well read Romans chapter 6 and proclaim victory over sin in you. God bless you bro

This is indeed a struggle for quite a many people. I find it helps to simply focus on simple things in life. It will sound dumb to probably everyone here but I like to keep focused on innocent things. Laugh over dumb things like..... trees..... being trees.... Sounds crazy I know it. But when filled with such nonsense I find it harder for something that is not silly or innocent to wiggle its way in.

Though I know this is just me and it probably wouldn't work for anyone else.

Ofc the natural way would be seek God more.

Mark 9:47
And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell.

I think this verse is showing us how serious sin is and that we should do anything, even if it is as extreme as selling all of your computers, etc,so that we don't sin against God.
my advise is that you should ask God to give you the power to not continue to fall into sin.
I hope I was somehow helpful

Thanks Shiner and Shemaiah! What you both have said helps. All I know is that I just need to get into God's word more and I'll especially look into those bible verses you guys suggested. And from what I've seen Nawo is being a troll here which is really immature and idiotic. It really shows how much stupidity she has. I'm just being honest.

41 "For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My name, because you belong to Christ, assuredly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward.
42 "But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea.

43 "If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having two hands, to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched--
44 "where`Their worm does not die, And the fire is not quenched.'
45 "And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame, rather than having two feet, to be cast into hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched--
46 "where`Their worm does not die, And the fire is not quenched.'
47 "And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire--
48 "where`Their worm does not die, And the fire is not quenched.'
(Mark*9:41-48*NKJ)

These verses were talking about having evil friends. Jesus says to cut them off if they are members of your body. He was not talking about sin, he was talking about having evil friends / company that causes the little one's to sin.

Hey guys! Just thought I would share my thoughts on this issue. I have seen absolutely NO bible verses having to do with masturbation. I don't think masturbation is wrong as long as you are not thinking about someone or looking at porn while doing it because then that would be considered lusting over someone. As long as you are masturbating only to pleasure yourself I see nothing wrong with it. Just like you eat food as a pleasure, buy nice things as a pleasure.. masturbation is just another pleasure of life. Anyone who disagrees with me, I would love to hear your thoughts! Thanks! :)

2 For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.
3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:
4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;
5 Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:
6 That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.
7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.
8 He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.

Okay, so masturbation has to do with fornication (sex). Read the bible verse that Nicene posted above me here. If you really think about it, masturbation is having sex with yourself. I don't think God is pleased with that. There are other ways that we can pleasure ourselves that doesn't include touching our genitalia. For example, the things you suggested minus the masturbation. Main point: Pleasuring ourselves does not please God. Since you say that you see nothing wrong with masturbation, I assume you have masturbated before? Can you honestly tell me that you have not masturbated to the thoughts of a human being such as the male or female gender?

I for one know I can't do that. Every time I have masturbated, it has either been to porn or to the thoughts of a girl. Therefore every time I've done that I have sinned. For me it is impossible to masturbate without sinning. Overall I consider masturbation a sin. Idk about you though, but I would find it pointless to masturbate and not have those sinful thoughts running through your mind. I'm not going to go about my day and randomly choose to masturbate to the thoughts of nothing. If you're able to do that, then so be it. But overall its completely pointless to do that. There are better things to do during the day than go somewhere private in your home and masturbate away! Am I wrong?

So, whenever I come across those temptations I do my best to get out of them with God's help. It's tough, but it also takes discipline. That's my opinion on masturbation for ya.

Here's another bible verse to help you understand:

1 Corinthians 6:18-20 (ESV)

" 18 Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. 19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20 for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. "

Our body is a temple and we are to glorify God in our body. I don't think masturbating is glorifying God in our body.

If you want a few verses to stand on, here are a few:

"And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell." Matthew 5:30

"But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people." Eph 5:3

Don't listen to Nawo... demons HATE it when you read the Word of God, and when you pray; because, then they can't get you to do stuff... and Nawo is speaking under influence of demonic spirits... pretty sure he is literally a satanist. Too bad they don't know the only TRUE Potentate -- Jesus...

Nawo: take it from someone who knows (an ex-illuminati satanist & Master Witch/Level 3 Witch: Doc Marquis) ...
