The kinds of laws I'm talking about is people who aren't allowed to buy a gun obtaining one illegally, and those using a gun to commit a crime. These crimes need to be punished harshly, one to get them out of society, and two to act as a deterrent.

Getting back to the original discussions, in answer to your statement, the United States does not have the highest incarceration rate. That goes to El Salvador, more than double that of the U.S., which has extremely strict gun laws, and gun ownership less than 20% of the U.S. It's not the guns that's the problem.

Wrong...PEOPLE WITH GUNS kill people...more particularly people with assualt rifles that were designed with only one purpose,,,,to kill as many PEOPLE as possible as quickly as possible. I mean, you dont hunt deer with an assualt rifle.

Oh Im sure you are absolutely right Nehemiah6. RFK JR. certainly will. HE will say anything. I see he tried to get Harris to talk to him about a cabinet position before he went to Trump...LOL

I'm speaking strictly constitutionally. Most recognize the right to bear arms, but few seem to recognize the right to arm bears.

Perhaps by "assault rifle" she means any rifle that you could be charged with assault with a deadly weapon with.
