There is lots of demand for this job. I got an offer on June but i didn't take it so i'm looking to take this job on top of my other job.
I mean for me, it's like a game so why not get paid for it so i can pay my kid's college?
Yes, I work two jobs as well to help my kids to finish school with no debt, it was a long haul but well worth it to have them graduate with no student debt.

I did a quick search and looked at the training required, seems doable for me. I am thinking of retiring soon but would like to do something different, less of a people job would be good!
Thanks!!

You're basically packaging any type of program or exe into an MSI or you use the existing switches from the manufacturer.
You then polish it up with removing desktop shortcuts, unnecessary registry entries, startup entries and things like that.
I use Flexera Admin Studio for this type of work and i also got an official one week of training in Chicago but i learned most of it on my own.
The training was nice to formalize concepts and add more depth to what i knew.

Also you want to customize the program, so the user doesn't get bombarded with 100 popups the first time they launch the program.
All of those popups are suppressed with registry entries usually.

I see.

I will certainly look into more, and the good news is I know where to find you if I have any questions! :)

For testing use a virtual machine. You can use the free one for windows called Hyper-V. You can add or remove this from the windows add remove features.
You then have a "clean state" and you create a snapshot.
Then you clutter with your testing and you can go back to the clean state with one click.
That's how you keep testing over and over and over until you get it 100% correct and ready for mass-deployment.
I push these products out to 10,000 - 15,000 windows computers.

So interesting, but what if something goes wrong and you miss something, then what happens?

Rarely things go wrong because you have to know and ask a lot of details about the environment for a new employer, unless the employer doesn't care, but when they do go wrong you have to have a rollback plan.
In my 25 years doing automation i have done rollback maybe like 5 times.

Yeah one of the reasons i got into technology was because there was no grey area and what frustrated me a lot a decade ago was when people treated technology like it's a vague book club.

"What does the customer mean, when he said that his Outlook is slow? Hmmmm. Let's have a meeting about this and then come up with a chatbot".

Yeah. So i skip all the meetings now and i just do the work and leave. I still enjoy it that's why i do it. Like i said, doing this it's like playing a videogame for me.

I just got connected to my aunts friend who is interested in my services of building her a website and maintaining it. She provides the merch photos and handles all of the shipping, and I build the website, maintain it and possibly handle marketing. That being said, after our initial conversation that went well, I realized that we didn’t negotiate how I’ll be paid, if she is going to be creating this business the correct way or if she knows that there are certain documents that need to be obtained, filled out and sent to certain government agencies.

I just pray that I’m going to be working with someone of integrity, that has done something like this before cause my initial impression is that this is her first online business and I’m going to be the one to have to teach her everything and walk her through it which I don’t mind but I hope I have the energy for it.

I also pray that I’ll earn enough that all of my basic needs are taken care of, and if I can’t from this project, that God opens up another opportunity for me in the near future that will, along with rent and utlities.

In Jesus name
Amen.
In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, amen.

Lord, enlighten our minds to make wise and God-pleasing dicisions. Especially we ask Your help and assistance for Your servant [...]. May Your grace and enlightment come upon him. In Jesus Christ's name, amen.
