For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. (John 3:16-17)

The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent. (John 6:29)

Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved (Acts 16:31)

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)

What is God's requirement for salvation (GRFS)?
That a sinner, by the will of the Father...convicted by Jesus, place their faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, who will give them eternal life through the Holy Spirit indwelling them, sealing them for eternity.

John 3:16, John 5:24, John 6:40, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10

Yes, and I like all of the Scripture you cited, especially Acts 16:31, which is Paul and Silas's answer when the Philippian jailer asked them the most important question in life: What must I do to be saved?

My follow up question is this: What important (two-fold) truth is implied by the jailer's question and the apostles' answer?

God's requirements for salvation are a blood atonement for sin and perfect righteousness.

That salvation is through Jesus Christ

By believing on Him

This question of salvation is most important because it implies that—as sinful and mortal souls—we need saving from two-fold corruption, both moral and physical. We need saving from physical death if we value or enjoy life, and we need saving from immorality or evil-doing if it results in unhappy existence, especially after this lifetime.

An obvious question to ask at this point is, “What is GRFS for those who have never heard of Jesus?” (which includes everyone living B.C. and millions of people who have lived A.D.)

What is God's requirement for salvation (GRFS)?
“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;

but he that believeth not shall be damned.

So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16, 19-20‬ ‭
We are believing those men’s witness of Jesus and the kingdom of God

The first generetion of chrirtians who walked with Jesus and then witnessed the gospel to the world even at risk of death and then there’s the the church who believed thier witness . Just before Jesus ascended to the cross and then into heaven later

“And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.

( He’s separating his chosen witnesses )

And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. ( Jesus is going to leave the earth but he’s annointing his apostles and witnesses who aren’t leaving to spread his word of the gospel to all people )

Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. ( this tells us Jesus is talking about his twelve chosen apostles and Judas is the one who fulfilled scripture and is lost)

( later Jesus then prays for everyone who would believe in Jesus through the words of these chosen apostles who wrote the New Testament of the Bible we believe thier witness to all the world of Jesus and the gospel )

Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; that they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭17:5-12, 20-21‬ ‭

just need to believe Gods word of the gospel and have faith in what we learn about him

I'm a bit out of the loop here because I do not know what you mean by GRFS. However what I wanted to address was the fact that there are some here who do not believe that man is morally corrupt... despite the many passages that attest to the fact that he is... and they reduce salvation to a moral decision that the natural man is capable of making with no help from God whatsoever, again against the great many number of verses that attest to the contrary.

A lot of good Scripture has been cited, but not yet that which addresses the obvious question to ask at this point: “What is GRFS for those who have never heard of Jesus?” (which includes everyone living B.C. and millions of people who have lived A.D.)

God shows Himself to everyone to give everyone a chance. Through His creation..His invisible attributes can be seen. He doesn't HAVE to have someone talk to them.

Yes, Wattie. If God loves the world (JN 3:16) and wants everyone to be saved (2TM 2:4), then He must provide an opportunity. God’s just judgment is illustrated by Jesus in the Parable of the Talents (MT 25:14-29), which indicates that God will judge souls on the basis of the truth (Word = Christ per JN 1:1f.) they have received.

So now let us consider three main ways that God reveals His will: 1. General revelation, which includes meditating on the natural world or God’s supernatural work. Paul says men are without excuse, both because God’s eternal power and divine nature (love) are manifested by creation (RM 1:20).

Can you think of two other ways Scripture indicates that God's will is made known? Via Scripture has already been indicated, but there is one other we ought to include.

What is God's requirement for salvation (GRFS)?
Psalms 119:160 says that the “SUM” of God’s word is truth. You must accept everything that God says saves us. Most denominations only accept the part that they like, and reject anything else even if God says it. That is a mistake that will cause you to lose your soul. Not only are we not to “ADD” to God’s word, but we are not to TAKE AWAY from what He says either. Deut. 4:2, Proverbs 30:6 and Rev. 22:18-19.

If you want to know God’s truth on what to do to be saved, then here is what God says in His word: Romans 10:17 tells us that faith comes by hearing the WORD OF GOD. THAT is where we start. We don’t wait for the Holy Spirit to “ZAP” us with knowledge. I’m talking about preaching God’s knowledge, Paul said that God put this “treasure” in EARTHEN VESSELS”. 2Corinthians 4:7. The ones who preach and teach God’s word are the earthen vessels who tell us God’s gospel. Matthew 28:18-19. So, being taught or hearing the gospel is the first step, Jesus tells us Himself what to do next—“He that believes and is baptized shall be saved.” FAITH is necessary Hebrews 11:6. We must believe that Jesus is the Son of God. Romans 10:10 gives us another step. “ With the mouth CONFESSION is made unto salvation.” Matt. 10:32 says we MUST confess Jesus (as the son of God). This confession is not confessing our sins but confessing our faith in Jesus as the Son of God. We are taught this in the example of the Ethiopian eunuch innActs 8. He confessed His faith in Christ just before his baptism. Repentance is necessary and should have been put before confession. Acts 2:38 is Peter’s answer to “what shall we do?” He says to REPENT AND BE BAPTIZED in the name of Jesus for the remission of sins. And the last and final step is BAPTISM.

All you have to do to be lost is just leave out one step or one thing that Jesus commanded. AndcSatan has been very successful in deceiving people so that they reject baptism “for the remission of sins “ like Peter said. They reject what Jesus says in Mark 16:16–that baptism comes BEFORE salvation. They refuse to believe what Peter says in 1 Peter 3:21 that BAPTISM SAVES US. Remember Rev. 22:18-19. They have “TAKEN AWAY” baptism as necessary to salvation when God has clearly put it there. Remember we are to PUT IT ALL TOGETHER and take the SUM of everything God has said. Only then do we have the “TRUTH.”

Prove this to yourself. Look at every conversion in the book of Acts and just see how people in the 1st century were saved. Not every step was mentioned in each example but in EVERY CASE everyone of them was baptized! (Acts 2, 8, 9, 10, 16, 22.).

God says you are NOT SAVED BY FAITH ONLY. James 2:24. No one is denying that faith is necessary—but God says there is more than that. If you only believe, you have left out all of the scriptures and commands on repentance, confession and baptism. You will come up short on Judgement day. Make sure you know all that God says to do—and then do it.
