And lo did he make many posts in a forum, to dissuade people from good music, lest their hearts be gladdened. For he couldst not bear the thought of people enjoying anything.
You're silly. And perhaps a bit insincere. Or maybe jumping to conclusions is your super power. Don't know, don't care. Have a nice day.

Just tell me what is so satanic about twinkle twinkle Little Star. That's all I ask.

Or "on the other hand, there's a golden band..." Tell me what's so evil about that song.

Dissect Wabash cannonball and tell me why that is evil.

How about Hey Porter? Where is the devil in that song?

I'm a musician.
I love music. But I'm not going to listen to Satan's messengers all day in hopes of hearing that one uplifting vibe.
But hey, you do you man.
If wasting time listening to trash is your objection, just confine your listening to Doo-wop for starters!

Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the LORD God had made.

But you should know that, you're an Erudite.
I certainly hope you're not using my intelligence to imply I'm on Satan's side, because if so you couldn't be more wrong.

You guys are really touchy about your worldly music. Funny what sets people off. I don't support the predominantly satanic music and film industry, sue me. I think I've clearly stated that it is a personal preference based on my own personal studies and temperament. I don't care what you people do or listen to. Its your thing man. I simply gave my opinion.

Oh no you don't...

Avoid it like the plague that it is. And most so called christian music too.
That was definitely not just stated as a personal preference. That was a broadband indictment. You made a very harsh blanket statement that left no room for equivocation.

And then you say WE are being touchy? You come in blasting about something of which you know nothing and then claim we are being touchy? Really?

speaking of bluegrass, i like Alisson Krauss' singing. especially when she teams up with robert plant. the beatles put out a lot of junk music when they got into drugs.
Have you heard Robert Plant singing with Patty Griffin? They were together for a number of years...

When I first discovered her music I was somewhat blown away. She had quite an extensive back catalogue to
explore and I had never heard of her before I awoke one morning in 2015 to this song playing on my clock radio:

I went to see her in concert two weeks later...

I also said this about two posts later.
"Seriously, its simply a personal preference. I'm a song writer and a singer. I hear everything, every word, everything. And I have a difficult time not remembering things. I try to occupy my mind with as much thoughts of God as possible. One of my greatest hindrances are the words and images I have picked up through the years, like evil echo's from the past. I prefer not to add any additional voices to the cacauphony. Besides, I've heard angels sing, once that happens, not much else compares."

Blasting? I said its a plague and it is. Can we find good things about a plague, of course we can. You might just catch a coconut in a hurricane. Who cares? For Pete's sake just get back to Sympathy for the Devil or whatever other stuff your enjoying and let it go.
I seriously couldn't give two shakes about how you occupy your erudite mind.

You said something that directly contradicted your first statement. That doesn't make your first post go away. You still said what you said in your first post.

1 can certainly discern robert's multi cultural style in the Ohio tune. both are beautiful tunes.

Jason Upton said an angel sang with him while they were recording this:

I like this song of his, among others:

OMGosh. You have no idea what I've been through this last almost two years. And there is no way you could know where I am at right now and how much this song spoke to my heart. But thank you very much. I am a harsh critic of christian music as well as the worldly variety. And I believe rightly so.
So its not without a little hesitation that I tell you that I wept like a baby from about 2 minutes in.
Thank you again. Its nice to know there is actually some Spirit filled music out there.

I listened to her for quite a while, and though I normally listened to Christian talk radio while driving, I did have
a compilation CD of her music for those times when a program was repeating that I'd heard earlier in the day.

Heh, I just got rid of that car a bit over a year ago and realized I'd
left the CD in the CD player. Not to worry. I have extra copies LOL.

Will you be completely off work or... do you have any seasonal work through the winter?

My daughter is currently trying to dig herself out from under over sixty years of accumulated stuff
in the house where she lives with her aunt... and her aunt is loathe to throw anything away. I did
suggest she get professionals to come in... the sooner the better. They have to be out in a month!
She has a lot of stuff sorted and sold some online, including a game boy box for over 200 dollars.

all of us landscapers in the northeast will be done. i get an occasional tree job or junk hauling job but 99% done til April. i have snowplowing customers, relieve ice back-ups & remove snow from roofs. but all year, i'm involved in coin dealing & merchandise dealing. in fact, yesterday, i worked a flea market in livingston n.y. it was a great success. indeed, take a good assessment on the stuff, there may be a treasure somewhere there.

Oh! Kind of reminds me of that show, my daughter really likes it, where antiques and rare finds are appraised...

Antiques Roadshow. Have you ever come across something really valuable?

Some of the most valuable items found on Antiques Roadshow include:

Faberge pear blossom
A masterpiece made of gold, jade, diamonds, and silver, this item was
owned by an army regiment and given a record-breaking valuation.

John Lennon's guitar
A prototype fretless guitar owned by John Lennon and George Harrison of the Beatles.

1914 Patek Philippe pocket watch
A pristine timepiece from the Swiss watchmaker that was handed down from a great-grandfather.
The auction value was estimated at $250,000 in 2004, $1.5 million in 2016, and $2–$3 million in 2018.

180-year-old miniature gold almanac
An item inherited from a maternal grandmother that was in fantastic condition and dated to 1840.

Victorian brooch
A rare brooch that was purchased for less than £20 and sold at auction for £9,500.

Faberge Flower
One of the only surviving "botantical studies" created by Faberge in the early 1900s.
The item was kept with its original presentation box and valued at £1 million.
