Why would any parent want a school teacher to teach the Bible to their children unless that teacher is a child of God and really understands the Scripture.

Context please.

Is some state passing a law about this?

Is a school district making a policy about this?

Public school only allows the Bible to be taught as a historical document due to the fact that so much of our history was influenced by the Bible. Teaching history and how the Bible influenced for examples our laws, our founding fathers, great speeches, etc is different than teaching personal theology.

Well, it's better than teaching them about trans ideology isn't it?

I do not trust a lost teacher to teach anything from the Bible.

They would slant it or spin it to fit their own belief just as they do the constitution.

Just look at the ungodly things taught on this forum by people who claim to be saved.

I believe the schools were banned from teaching religions in schools in 1955 or 56i where I was brought up, LB, Ca.
The manner of teaching was for each child to be able to study his own denomination of faith, no matter what.
I did go to study until the practice was banned, and although I had gone to Sunday school previously, and I had settled on the teaching, Jesus Loves me, the school version was totally uninspiring. I was 11 the last time this was in practice. God bless all.

I have nothing against teaching the Bible's influence on the US's founding. However, getting bibles in the classrooms is only the first step. Oklahoma's Ryan Walters is now saying a new class will be mandated: Religious Freedom and Patriotism. The goal is Christian nationalism plain and simple. Besides this, Walters is shady and is incompetent. Just do a little research on him; he couldn't manage a Cub Scout troop, much less a state's department of education.

In the video, he announces that Oklahoma has now purchased 500 Bibles "like this one" for Oklahoma classrooms. Then he holds up a Lee Greenwood (Donald Trump) God Bless the USA Bible. And this after he put on a show of taking bids. He knew all along which one he was going to buy.

Sorry, I forgot to include, no Bibles were needed, and we also went out of the classroom for our study, that is to another room on the school grounds, campus. I believe this was in order to keep the peace between denominations and other religions. No matte it seemed spiritless.
