What are your thoughts? Do you think this is stealing if you violate their terms of service?
I think this was discussed earlier in the thread, but I think you have to turn every situation around and see yourself from the other side.
If you were offering something that was meant for one household only and that was written into your own terms of service, would you consider it stealing if one household was paying you for the one product/subscription, and but sharing it with 4 (or even 1) other households?
I would think that yes, it would be stealing from you, because they would be depriving you of income that, under the terms and conditions, is due to you. You're getting payment for 1 thing when you should be getting payment for each household using it.
I know that no one can be perfect in every area but it's funny how God convicts us.
I had my last day of work at a place, punched out, went to my car (at the back of the parking lot) and was ready to drive home, but God pointed out a couple of pens I had in my car from work. I was tired, had a lot on my mind, and a ton of work to do at home -- I just wanted to GO. But God clearly convicted me and told me to go back in and return those pens, because they belonged to my place of work and not to me.
I know it seems like a petty thing.
But God turned it around and pretty much said, "How much do you like when people steal from you?" God doesn't care how big the corporation is, or how much money they have. To Him, stealing is stealing, whether it's a penny or a billion dollars.
I know a couple of pens aren't a big deal. But a couple of pens... multiplied by 100 employees, several pens a week... still adds up to a business cost, and if I were the business owner, I wouldn't want to have to be continuously buying things that people took for their own -- even accidentally.
I'm also a firm believer in reaping what we sow. God understand we can't be perfect, but if He convicts us in an area and we justify a way to steal, I truly believe it will come back to us in some way. Even just getting a cold can prevent us from going to work, and therefore rob us of lost income potential.
