Doesn't matter if they agree to let her go, she can be discharged AMA (Against Medical Advice). As long as there is no legal guardian that can override you. I would get a lawyer to write the letter demanding her discharge.

What you are describing certainly sounds like a place I would not trust with my mother.
I don't. We need respiratory help and can't get her that anywhere.

I'm sorry that you are going through this and hope that you don't have to alone. We had to endure a similar situation with both my father-in-law and my brother-in-law within two consecutive years. The former wasn't able to speak clearly and the latter not able to speak at all after one life changing moment. My sis-in-law had to go through the ordeal with my brother-in-law alone since he left home and stayed with her for some time to resettle. But she spoke to him as I spoke to my father-in-law, believing that they could hear and understand even if they couldn't reply. Remembering "faith comes by hearing,' I spoke the gospel to my father=in=law, and he appeared to be listening because when I finished, he said, "I feel better." But, up to that point, his speech was incoherent, mumbled and slurred. I couldn't sleep one night and thought to go in just to sit with him. I slipped in and turned on a turner classic movie on near silent and when he stirred and noticed me there and I turned to look at him and he, sternly, asked me, "why?" (he didn't like anyone to fuss and worry over him) so I simply said, "because I love you."

Well, that started what an eavesdropper might've heard as gibberish but, I understood, he quickly replied, "I love you too...but my back is weak, and my knees have been giving me trouble for over 20 years, and my feet..." so I stopped him and said, "I know... but, could you just wait until after Father's Day?....I can't let go on Father's Day.." and he let an exasperated sigh and said, "Okay" and laid his head back into his pillow but said nothing more.

What had led up to that, and why I found it impossible to sleep that night, is that it had happened earlier that he had been trying to tell his sons gathered around him to remove the iv drips and pointing at the mechanism they were attached too. And everyone knowing him, knew he hated the thought of being a burden to any of us no matter what we thought of it. And we miss him so very much.

So, when I noticed the lesion on my mom's person when she leaned over her garden that same summer, and she tried to tell me she wasn't going to bother having anyone look into it when I inquired about it, I said, "oh no, not this time, not now, not when I just lost so...." she knew what a great loss I meant, her having known him, so, for once, she obeyed me, and I took her immediately to someone that sent by ambulance to the cancer treatment center where she began what stretched out as a five-year regime of treatment that culminated with an "attempted" continuation of 'preventive' care at which time I offered my "okay" that she discontinue if she felt it was hurting her more than helping(I realized she wouldn't have quit them, and wouldn't have asked if she could even had she wanted to except that I had given my uncoerced consent). And she, as in the beginning, immediately discontinued the treatments. She still notes to me the debilitating effects from them, but she's still with me and I check in on her, and dad, who is going through many challenges of his own, regularly. But I don't think I'll ever be able to "prepare" myself for the inevitable that we all have to endure sooner or later.

My oldest brother-in-law told us, that evening of Father's Day coming up on 10 years ago, that we should go home and get some rest and he would remain with him, and so we went home. And not being able to sleep, about the moment I breathed out a prayer for comfort to let go, two hours after midnight, his first-born son called to let us know that he had gone to his rest.

Especially at a time that only reveals all of our helplessness, I hope, somehow, this helps, somehow, in this difficult time to endure.

Can't you just get oxygen tanks?
The story is that she requires a ventilator, suction machine, stomach tube feed AND full time nursing care 24/7 to go home.
The Dr can write a Rx for those, but insurance only covers a portion of nursing care.
I just talked to a respiratory therapist and she said that most families have opted to do it alone because it's just too costly. However, it is extremely hard work.
I know how that is because my Dad had CHF along with a couple other conditions. I was doing it by myself and got blood vessel break down and a heart condition quickly. I eventually recovered by the grace of God. No regrets whatsoever because that's what families are supposed to do.

The respiratory therapist said that vent patients are usually children. I think that's, because the hospice eliminates the elderly.
The hospital can provide occasional" vacation" to the family to care for the patient to allow a short time for travel.
The home units plug into the wall and need calibrated specially for the patient by the respiratory tech.

I was hoping that my brother's family might be willing to spread the work, but that's not looking like it will happen.

This is what happens to so many people.
Canadian Comfort Care< MAIDS Act.

Forced on by hospitals that caused the deadly problem, putting the poor patients and families in impossible situations.
Please pray for them too.

My Mom is going through this now. Although she's been poisoned by the Covid shot and blood transfusion, there have been serious things that have been harmful according to their protocol.

Watch the video to the end if you want to know the hideous nature of the Canadian and USA "end of life care," they euphemistically call "comfort Care."
It described how these people are drowning people to death, akin to waterboarding torture. They do this chemically with lung paralytics.

My brother and I need serious wisdom and the right open door to give Mom the chance to survive while we pay our/ her bills.

URGENT!

My Mom is in the middle of the hospital scam and the push for murder by hospice is the only option my brother can see at this time.

They just handed us a Financial Responsibility form tonight that requires $76,000 up front plus $2-3,000 / day.

Please pray that she will be accepted at Encompass Rehabilitation this week. She is going to need strengthening, NOT some sinister strangers increasing and mixing meds until murder occurs. I am doing what I can to get her out of there and care for her. I need my brother's family to help too though.
This evening, all I got were some tears and a bunch of excuses why he thinks nobody can schedule time to help. Please pray for him too.

Friends have recommended the PT at Encompass because their family have done well with their program.

Mom needs God's help .
We really do.
Please pray

We pray that God will strengthen you and your family in the days ahead and that He will heal your mother quickly.

We also pray that God will provide a means to meet your financial requirements for the care required during her recovery.

Encompass has an excellent reputation here.

Thank you so much Billyd!

Likewise to all who are praying.
I will do another update of answers ASAP.
Tomorrow will be the first time since Mom was admitted that I feel ok about going out of town for a day. Praise the Lord, Mom is improving!!! 🥲
Please pray for her safety and continued progress. There's been a trend of improvement and malpractices by individual accidents that should not happen. Most staff are great, but weird over the top things have happened. Will fill you all in.

Also please pray for souls to be saved as I travel to Somerville, WV to preach the gospel to a group and house to house.

Seeing souls saved is a tonic that momentarily lifts one from all burdens and gives us focus. I often sense that meaning when going about my daily life which has many of the characters your mother is experiencing - not the condition - rather the brutal character of life for many people.

Stealth Euthanasia is a free online book written by Nurse Ron Panzer. It is a very well written and organized text on the subject that many tens of millions die from medical mafia in America. I know of no better treatise on this subject. I interviewed the author at length many years ago. If you like the book, please buy a hard copy from him. It might be good to share a paper copy with all your children and grandchildren. If they do not get this issue of ethics now, it might be too late when grandma and grandpa are facing a challenge that needs their HELP temporarily.

After talking with my brother earlier, I see that he has been convinced to a diabolical point of view. Please teach your children. He never had a father or good pastor to teach him right from wrong.

Please renew prayers for my Mom's safety and deliverance. After my brother told me of his thoughts about ending Mom's life, my heart was literally painful. I am in good shape, but the stress hurt my chest so bad that I opened a gallon jug of water immediately off the shelf and chugged it to starve off damage. God provides fish oil too and I am ok now. Yes, I did pay for them.

Hi HH,

I just wanted you to know that I've been praying for you, your mom, and your family every day since I read this thread.

I am truly hoping things will turn around and have been praying that the doctors will listen to you, and that your brother's family's hearts will soften towards her needs so that you don't have to do everything by yourself.

Many blessings to you and know that people are standing with you in prayer. ❤️

That means so much to me.
I know that God is the only One Who can help us. When His precious children like you ask we will see our Great Father intervene and do something remarkable.

Mom was not lucid today for some reason. My brother asked her nurse why she had mitts on and was told coldly only that they stay on. No explanation.
She hasn't needed restraints. We removed them I took the stuffing out of them when we left. She also got her personal daily stuff that I can't mention publicly.

I had to let the dietician know that I was going to the media and proper authorities if she didn't provide the Real Food brand tube feed meals immediately. The woman refused to communicate or provide anything but the toxic junk that made her sick that was in hospital inventory. She was called, emailed and regularly informed that Mom was malnourished and starving to death. I already went to the hospital CEO, patient rights, case manager, etc. Next call would be to my friends in the media. Thank God she finally got the tube feed meals that we ordered.
Mom was so grateful yesterday!
She gave me a big THANK YOU! 🥹

I thank God for Mom and I thank Him for you showing so much love for someone you haven't even met.

That's good to know and get your feedback about the chain.
The Encompass here unfortunately has the same problem Dr as their director.
Whether or not he would be assigned to her personally depends on the day of admission from what I've been told.
I asked if a doctor can be chosen or from outside the rehab. That wasn't an option. I left a message with their dietician and she has not returned my call. We can't go through the malnutrition again and prohibition to outside food/ water.

I know how precious a mother can be -- reading your plight has been absolutely heartbreaking.

I said a prayer for you again this morning.

I'm sure you must feel like small fish constantly swimming upstream and it makes me so sad for you, AND your mom.

May God's might and comfort be with you as you continue fighting for her! 🥰❤️🌹

God bless you my friend.

I'm praying that Mom will be able and willing to get on her feet later with the help of my brother and I. Yesterday she was over medicated and not lucid. Today's a new day.

@HealthAndHappiness I now that your mom is reposed. In eastern-orthodox tradition we pray for the dead as well, because all are alive by God. Here an example of this prayer for the repose of the souls of the departed by Elder Eusebius Vitti (translated from Greek, source).

Remember, our Lord Jesus Christ, through the prayers of Your Most Holy Mother, the Lady Theotokos (God-bearer) and Immaculate Mary, Your departed servants, and forgive them, give rest and raise up their souls and bodies to the resurrection of life on Your last day (the General Resurrection). Remember, Lord:
¯ Of all times and all places of Your dominion Your departed children.
¯ Unburied and buried people.
¯ Aborted and abandoned children.
¯ All whom no one remembers.
¯ All despised and forgotten souls.
¯ All who died for the Orthodox faith and the Fatherland.
¯ All those who have left this life today and until today.
¯ All the souls remembered today.
¯ All our relatives, friends and family.
¯ All those tortured in wars and Asia Minor.
Remember, Lord, also Your handmaiden (your mom).

שלום עליכם Shalom, God's peace be upon you.

They can be just as beneficial as the prayers for the living ones. At the end it is God himself who decides how to fulfil our prayer or not fulfil at all. Whether our prayers are strong or not, it depends on how sincerely we pray and live before the Holy One; it also depends on whether the person, for whom we pray, is open for God's saving grace or not. If the person dies as an unbeliever who denies God, then most likely he will remain in this state in the afterlife forever. In this case the prayers for the dead will not save him, but may be Holy God will relieve his sufferings in hell a little bit. From our experience we know that God can save an unworthy believer from hell in response to our prayer for the dead; He can also relieve sufferings in hell of unrepentant sinners in response to our private prayers for them. But this is still God's mercy and grace, not our merits that saves. Read more about it here:
