Well, Christmas is as good as you make it. IOW as good as you give.
I try to have the best Christmas as possible. I give them to everyone I can. Neighbors, family, Church friends and etc.
They are NOT for sale...they are gifts. The price is love. Money is too cheap to purchase my truffles and cookies.
Somehow, things baked with love always taste the best. It's nice that you bake for others while being motivated by nothing but love.

I can't imagine a Christmas without homemade cookies and treats of some form.

If you think back of the Christmas seasons you remember with smiles....it usually centers on activities you did with others like decorating the tree after picking it out. Helping decorate the house. Shopping for presents and caroling....you might recall a present or two that was exceptional but mostly the time of spending quality time with others. Hence the gingerbread subdivision.

I aim to demonstrate to others that happy memories are the true gift of Christmas. Time spent with others doing fun things.
You can preach it but nobody gets it. When you just do it....then they still might not get it...but we live in hope.

Yes,Garlic over a boyfriend 😆
Definitely garlic over a boyfriend. Because I'm a guy. :p

Garlic over a girlfriend? Debatable. I really like garlic. It would have to be a very special girlfriend to get away with demanding I eschew garlic.

But for any guy who does definitely say garlic is more important, I have a slogan for you. There's a term guys use a lot to indicate they will be loyal to their guy friends first if it conflicts with being loyal to a girlfriend. It is somewhat vulgarly described as, bros before hoes. Guys, our slogan is garlic before girls.

I know of this one girl who is very, incredibly allergic to peanut butter. Like, if you eat it and she smells your breath, she has an allergic reaction.

She recently broke up with her boyfriend. Amicably, actually. A few months later she happened to see him at the store and asked, so what's it like to be able to eat peanut butter again?

He replied, oh wonderful! We should have broke up years ago!

She said, I can't blame him. Peanut butter is awesome. I can't compete with that. If you require your guy to give up peanut butter to be with you, you're going to have to bring a lot to the relationship.
eh. peanuts give me heartburn. so no prob.

My go to when I drank coffee regularly was a cold brew with a shot of heavy cream and four packets of stevia. Highly recommend, though if you have it every day for a year, you’ll end up getting high cholesterol, specifically the LDL kind, which according to doctors is bad for you.

I have come to realize that over time and being apart of the Christian community here, you find out that almost everyone here agrees with that most of the time, doctors have no idea the damage they are really doing to people.

Sometimes I wonder why I stopped drinking coffee and then I think about it like I am now, and I realize that it over stimulates my dopamine receptors, giving me a false sense of reality. Yeah, it feels great and I love feeling the pleasure it gives me but I create my best work when I am suffering and in constant pain. I also am able to empathize better with others when I’m not drinking caffeine but don’t get me wrong, I would drink coffee all day, everyday if it didn’t hinder my creative ability.

Yeah, sure does. Keeps you in a state of feeling good. It’s like slowly boiling a frog in water. Feels nice for a long time but after a year of drinking 32-64 ounces a day, you realize that you progress way more with projects when you don’t have over stimulation. When you are suffering and in pain, you’ll do anything to alleviate it. Thus, getting your dopamine hit at the end of accomplishing a project, instead of over stimulating your brain with dopamine, by drinking coffee or dare I say it, pornography. Same with drugs like marijuana or even TikTok videos. When people are addicted to things, procrastination happens and progress halts.

No, I’ve never heard of inertia or Veronica Roth.

I am going to have to say that, while you might not be intentionally full of it, you are very wrong. Likening coffee to pornography is the weirdest thing I have heard on the forum this week. I'm not going to say it's the weirdest thing ever, because we have seen some very strange things here over the years, but it's definitely the weirdest thing this week.

Maybe I spent too much time around a friend who studied and talked way too much about neuroscience.
