I'm not much for Black Friday Sales, I leave it to Mama and the girls, but my pocket book has led me to suggest a new direction.

Everyone has a computer and a large flat screen TV in every room of the house. Let's drop electronics from the sales.

Every man has more power tools than he will ever use. Let's drop them from the sales.

Every woman has more gadgets than she will ever use. Let's drop them from the list.

Every kid's toy box is overflowing with toys that they rarely play with, but love to scatter everywhere. Let's drop them from the sales.

What should be on the Black Friday Sales menu?

How about groceries? Bundle a weeks or months worth of groceries and mark the price down by 50%.

How about clothing? Something like winter coats, shoes, jeans, shirts etc marked down by 50% or more.

Don't forget pet food. Free bag with every purchase.

What would you like to see on the menu?

Honesty would be a start. How about not inflated prices with phony markdowns? It's illegal in Australia but still happens.

Nothing for me thanks. I have decided I don't need any more stuff.

I can't even think of anything I want for Christmas. The stuff I do get, I won't have anywhere to put it.

I went to the auction house last Saturday, mostly for lack of anything better to do. Sat there for 4 hours and didn't bid on a single thing. There were some pretty good deals on some nice stuff, but I didn't need any of it. About 9:00 p.m. I gave up and went home.

I once had a female acquaintance who sold jewelry for a living. After she made her wholesale purchases, she immediately marked up all of her jewelry by 500%. When it came time to sell it, she posted a "20% off sale" sign, and people flocked to buy her merchandise. It never ceases to amaze me how so many people are so easily manipulated by way of a "sale" sign.

This is a great question! :)

I was never into Black Friday sales when they were all in person -- I never found anything worth the hassle of driving around for.

But now that there are so many online choices, I keep a list and save up all year for things I need to replace. I admit to being on the computer most of the day looking at deals (and then comes Cyber Monday!), but to me, it's a great time to stock up on things I actually need and use regularly.

My favorite things to hunt for on Black Friday are skincare products. I have very sensitive skin, and can't use most of the products being pushed because I'm often allergic to the hot new things they're always saying will make you look 20 forever, lol.

So I spend several hours reading through ingredients lists and shopping for things to last me the whole year, usually at 50% off. I've also had several family members who've had skin cancer, so buying SPF (another item I have to be very picky about) is also very high on the list.

And even better than that, I have a friend who also has very sensitive skin and while I only see her about once a year, I love bringing samples of the things I'm currently trying to see if any of them might work for her, too. :)

Yeah, and toilet paper. People always need toilet paper.

I guess that's why they never have a Black Friday sale on toilet paper. They don't have to. People will buy that regardless.

You hit the nail on the head. Black Friday Sales are always for things that we can do without.

Mama gave our Christmas tree to our grandson. She handed me a sales paper with Christmas trees on sale for 25% off on Black Friday. What Mama want's, she usually gets. That's one of the secrets to 65 years of marriage.

I'm also thinking of getting some nesspresso coffee deals this coming week.
When i order during regular times, they usually throw in a gift, but during Thanksgiving or Christmas they throw even more gifts.
Like mugs, coffee cups etc.

I did just recently find out that the price of wireless earbuds has dropped dramatically since the last time I checked them. I quickly purchased three pairs.

Two for me and one for my father, who has started complaining that his one earbud (no charging case, 14-hour battery life) has started refusing to charge sometimes for no apparent reason, and the two backups he purchased are doing the same thing for some odd reason. I will test all three sets and give him the one with the longest battery life.

10 bucks is standard now for earbuds? Wireless earbuds, like Bluetooth, with a charger case? Only 10 bucks?!

This doesn't have anything to do with Black Friday sales, but I'm betting they won't be able to go much lower unless they pay me money to take their earbuds.

My earbuds are a whopping $200. Hopefully the ones you are referring to have the sound quality, spatial sound technology and the fitness nub that makes it so it never falls out of your ears. I bought them a year ago, so who knows how far they have dropped but I’m assuming from what you are saying that they all dropped in price.

My ice maker broke down last night. Walmart had a counter top portable one on early access Black Friday sale for $39. The sale window was just 4 hours. My repairman won't be available until next week. God answered my prayer, and made Mama happy too.

I still think that more necessities (food and clothes) need to be on the sales lists.

That is a steal! We’ve had two ice machines break down in just a couple years. What is up with those? Well anyway, I hope we can get a new one eventually. Boy, do I love my iced teas…

It's a table top model and makes 9 cubes in 9 minutes and can make up 26 lbs a day, but you'll be continuously filling and emptying it. It makes enough ice in an hour for both of us.

I have no problem with filling and emptying. Just as long as I have a constant stream of iced tea all day long. When I was a baby, I carried a bottle with me every where and as I got older, naturally, I just always wanted to be able to have something to drink on hand as I’m working. Having ice in my drink is just another layer of comfort.

Did y'all know you don't need none of those fancy machines no more?

I was over at my Uncle Brent's house the other day and I saw where he's got some of them newfangled trays that are divided into cubes. Just pour water in them and stick them in the freezer.

He got something else I think I need to get me one of too. A phone with a squiggly cord to attach it to the wall, so you'll never lose it! Man, what will they think of next?

i understand that we can just pour ice into trays and do it the ol’ fashion way but the luxury of having that fancy machine is so nice while it works. It’s just a shame they seem to break down in like 9 months after you buy one.

if I ever getting one again…which I’m a hundred percent certain I will…God willing :)…I will be getting a 4 year warranty!

They literally come up with the most random things to waste your money and space in your house with.
