So I've thought of a neat game..... hopefully there isn't one started. So the idea of the game is there will be a question asked, I'll start it but, answer a question then ask a question.

Example:

Person1: do you like potatoes?

Person2: yes.

Do you like carrots?

Person3: no

How's the weather?

......and so on.

Because we are in the singles forum, let's try to keep it about being single. Just away to learn more about each other. Hope you enjoy.

Start:

A good first date is in a restaurant with high visibility, where all your friends know where you are.

What is a good second date?

Grabbing some food before or after doing something that has some competitive fun, like Lazer tag, bowling, or something like mini golf. Sometimes fun.

Are giving flowers on a first date, over rated these days?

Might want to ask if she's allergic first.

What's the best date once you are both familiar with each other and you want to go out and have a really good date?

Going for a hike with some snacks and thermos filled with coffee, by lakeside or mountains, spending the day in nature.

What would be the hardest thing to compromise in a relationship?

I’m not touching that with a 30 foot pole but joking aside, if it is a long distance relationship and things are really progressing…whether that person should move to your state or you move to their state. If they can’t decide on either state, making plans to possibly move both partners out of each state, getting married and moving into a place in an entirely different state that they can agree upon and build a life together.

if you attend a church, and they attend a different church, what would be your strategy on choosing the right church for both of you to attend together?

@Talljake

Are participants only allowed to answer the last question, or can they answer multiple questions as long as they answer the last question and ask a new question?
I would say for now maybe keeping it easier, like answer and ask. Maybe down the road change it up a little. It may get a little confusing. Not sure if many will play as well.

That's a good question @ForgiveMeGod. Definitely pray about it, maybe try attending both. Also depending on where we get a place together, may not be able to attend either churches. But I would definitely start with prayer.

What about disapproving family members. How would you handle a disapproving family member?

Disapproving family is a tough one. First I'd like to know why they disapproved. Perhaps they'd have a good point. There wouldn't be any way for me know if my guy seemed happier without me around unless someone else told me. But its something I'd definitely want to know.

However, if their point did not seem valid it would be something to try to get past with God's help. Easier said than done.... I guess the trick is figuring out what's valid and what isn't.

So, next question: what ARE some valid reasons to break up with a person?

On a first date? Obvious signs of negative body language. Such as not smiling at all the entire date. Looking at you in disgust upon meeting one another for the first time, after a month of getting to know one another through daily phone calls, even though they have seen dozens upon dozens of photos of you. Them telling you on the first date they would rather be friends and they next day, after you told them that you don’t think this is going to work, they immediately tell you they want to go on dates with you. They invite you to church and while church service is over, they get a text about a beach rave that is currently happening that day and ask you if you want to go…to a rave…after church…

when do you introduce the person you are dating to your friends and family?

You introduce him or her to your family and friends when you decide to have a relationship with that person exclusively, instead of playing the field. When that person becomes your significant other instead of just another night on the town.

How much time can a person spend on hobbies before you have to leave that person?

I've gotten to be pretty independent, so if the guy said, "I really need a few nights to myself to unwind and work on my interests," I honestly wouldn't mind.

In the past, I would have been rather clingy and needy, but fortunately, God seems to have broken me away from a lot of that.

However, if it got to the point where I always felt like I had to "schedule an appointment" just to spend time with him or if I was turning to my other friends first about something I was going through because he was too busy, it would probably be time for me to rethink the relationship.

What would you do if you really liked someone, but you didn't like their pet(s)/were allergic, and that person considered their animals to be an essential ("if you accept me, you have to accept them") part of their life?

@seoulsearch some of us men like "clingy" , helps us feel wanted.

If it were my pets, I'd try to compromise and after they pass away I wouldn't get more ..... If I was serious about this woman.

If I was allergic, if there couldn't be that compromise then I'd probably end up leaving.

No one should have to put up with bad allergies

If you're in the middle of a date and it starts down pouring, do you run for cover or laugh it off and play in the rain? I also throw in that the temperature is around 80 to 90 degrees just to help set the scenario.

If you are a woman: Can a man be shorter than you? If so, how much is the limit?

Me being a taller fellah.....it's hard to find a tall women, nevermind taller lol. For me it wouldn't matter. If she was taller I don't even think people would say much because finding a taller fellah would be hard for her. Shorter doesn't bother me one bit, it's all about heart for me.

Is there fokes who slow dance to hymns or is this a strange thing?

I'm only 5' tall, so finding a guy who's taller than me has never been a problem!

Wow, if I knew this was even a possibility, I would have been working harder to memorized all those old hymns in Lutheran school! :D

How clingy is too clingy?

At one point would someone be "too clingy" that you had to let them go?

It's all on who you're asking really. Some folks want to be more independent, folks like me don't really mind. A factor of being on the phone vs in person has a different play as well. Like me I'm not a big phone person but still don't mind, I'm more in person type of fellah myself. It's all on who you're interested in and who they are.

As a Christian, is it sinful to kiss one another before marriage?

How to keep it casual would be the problem. I'd say possibly the second or third date a kiss on the cheek and from then on a 5 sec limit on mouth kisses (not sure if that's too long or too short, lol).

What are you 'into' (beside church) that you hope she would be into or show interest in?

At my age, hopefully fossils.

What's a good first gift?
