But they are without power to condemn those in Christ, which was their primary purpose
No they still condemn

Sin = eternal death.

If we sin we are condemned to death.

BUT.... Jesus came to save the lost.

Not to save us in sin but to free us from sin.

Justification and sanctification.... by faith

Leading to glorification.

The condemnation is taken away when we come to Jesus and recieve forgiveness.

This is the Gospel...
Luk 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

If .....if you repent Jesus will free you from the condemnation of sin.
Sin is the transgression of the law.

Here is the passage of the burning bush, no further info is available concerning the angel but the identity of the LORD is established without a doubt.
[Exo 3:2-6 KJV] 2 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush [was] not consumed.
3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.
4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here [am] I.
5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest [is] holy ground.
6 Moreover he said, I [am] the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.
The messenger was holy and God spoke through that messenger.

I can assure you that the invisible, eternal God, and God is Spirit, was not in the bush.

The messenger (angel) was merely an image of God contained in the form of an angel.

No one has seen God, no one has heard God, and no one has ever known God.

God is invisible.

Do you understand that flesh and blood cannot behold God in His full glory?

You guys can't seem to get it through your heads that no law can condemn any dead person. We in Christ are dead to the law. The holy spirit can use the law to convince a person of sin, but it never condemns; condemnation comes from the devil. Maybe you feel condemned by the law because you are not walking in the spirit

I understand enough to stand by the Bible on this subject.
[Exo 33:17-23 KJV] 17 And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name. 18 And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory. 19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy. 20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. 21 And the LORD said, Behold, [there is] a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: 22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: 23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

The 4th commandment written on my heart says to cease from works of the flesh and trust and know that God is sanctifying me in his son. So obedience to that commandment is completely independent from the elements of this world
Jesus worked on the Sabbath in service to God and his people.

Sin is the transgression of the law.
1 John 3:9
No one who has been born of God practices sin, because His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin continually,
because he has been born of God.

A born again Christian cannot really sin because they are inhabited by the Holy Spirit.

Those redeemed by the grace of God are no longer under the law of sin and death.

Romans 8:2
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

The law of the Spirit set you free and you don't free yourself.

Do you understand the verse above?

The law of sin and death has no meaning to a Christian as a Christian is a new creation.

Your definitely not going to heaven because of something you have done.

You are chanting "we will obey" just as they did at Mt Sinai.

An outstanding commentary but what was the source, you need to quote the source.

I have read commentary on the 'angel of the Lord' before.

The reason that God uses an angelic form, an image, is that if God appeared in His true form.
Then mankind would be extinct. God is eternally powerful and perfectly Holy and we cannot
inhabit His presence. We are imperfect, filthy beasts, and no one is righteous not even one.

God speaks through that image (the angel) of the Lord and even the ground on which that angel
stands is holy. No one has seen the Father, no one has heard the Father, and no one has known
the Father. God resides in unapproachable light and no one has ever seen God, we only saw
a projected image.

Colossians 1:15
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation...

Of course you understand that Jesus was also the image of the invisible God.

Mankind cannot withstand the full glory of God Himself who is holy, holy, holy.
friend it is from me, and the bible, and the Holy spirit that teaches me things, i write much better in french then I translate.

what you say may be true we cannot see God and live it is written.
