To encourage and build each other up, as we are all on the same boat in regard to being sinners.
Absolutely brother. But we need to call sin by its rightful name. Sin is breaking God's law 1 John 3:4 The Sabbath is part of God's law that God said is on the seventh day. Exo 20:8-11 No one has more authority than God.

The gospel message we are to share with the world is to repent from sin for the Kingdom of God is at hand! Jesus is coming soon and He is looking for a faithful people who hear His voice and follow Him. If we abide in His love, we keep His commandments John 15:10 following in His footsteps. 1 John 2:6 Jesus kept the commandments and the Sabbath and only He is the way back to reconciliation. If He is in us, we would follow Him. He is the way always leading by example.

Does scripture show the Sabbath is only for the Jews?
No, the Sabbath started at Creation Exo 20:11 Gen 2:1-3 when there was just man made in the image of God.

Jesus said the Sabbath was made for man Mark 2:27 man was made on the 6th day before the first Sabbath where God rested on the seventh day and man was made in His likeness also rested with God. This is what the Sabbath was always about spending time with God in His presence on every Sabbath. God worked 6 days as an example to man, but dedicated one full day for rest that was made for mankind. The Sabbath points to God's sanctification Eze 20:12 and His blessing Isa 56:1-6 and without either of those we are nothing, we need to depend on God for everything.

The Sabbath was changed but not by God and we were warned about it right in the scripture Dan 7:25 it started back in the 3rd centaury from Pagan sun worship that turned into Sunday worship and now we are told it is a commandment of the Catholic church which they claim they have more authority than God's Word. They say if we keep Sunday, we are obeying Rome. God's Word says whoever we obey is who we serve Rom 6:16 keeping the Sabbath the way God said, we are serving God. Isa 56:1-6

Jesus taught about this very clearly, not to follow traditions of man over obeying the commandments of God. Mat 15:3-14 God never changed the Sabbath commandment, He said He would not alter His Words Psa 89:34, not a dot or tittle can be changed Mat 5:18 yet people don't believe His teachings while professing to believe in Him. I guess we will find out how that is going to work out soon enough.

I would recommend prayerfully read the bible for yourself and ask God to guide you in all Truth. Ignore all the noise around you and focus on building a relationship with Jesus through prayer, study of His Word and helping our neighbors.

We are told in scripture if someone tells us to go away from God's Word in lieu of words that sound good to ears but not in harmony with God's said- there is no light in them Isa 8:20 We are in a spiritual war and obeying God and following Him is our only protection.

God bless!

It was made holy and never was it changed. Read the bible from start to finish and you will not find any place to say the sabbath is no longer sanctified.

We are never told to keep sunday holy but we are told to remember the holy Sabbath day.

choose you this day.

The 10 commandments are quoted many times in the new testement and always afirm that they should be kept.

The law does not save us but our love for Jesus leads us to obey the law.
Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Rom 13:9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
Mat 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. 18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, 19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

And many more verses, but you can not say the Moral law or ten commandments are no longer valid or made void. Many try to just make the 4th commandment void. But God would not have placed it in with the other 9 if it was the only one that was to be removed.
Exactly which part of my post do you find objectionable, that you write such a reply?

Are Christians obligated to observe the Sabbath in the New Testament?
Yes. Jesus said very clearly He did not come to destroy the law. He would not alter not a jot or tittle (meaning something as small as a dot of an i- yet alone and entire commandment or two) heaven and earth would pass before God's law would fail, whoever breaks and teaches others to break the least of these commandments- quoting directly from the Ten Commandments where the Sabbath is part of, one would be least in heaven and that does not seem to indicate one will be there. You can read this in Mat 5:17-30 and other similar teachings Mat 15:3-14 Mark 7:7-13 Mat 19:17-19 John 14:15 Exo 20:6 etc.

The biggest Truth about the Sabbath comes from Jesus Himself.

He is the only One who lived righteously and perfect. If we abide in Him we will keep His commandments

John 15:10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.

Jesus kept the Sabbath and all of God's commandments and if we abide in Him we will follow His example

1 John 2:6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.

Jesus said there is no other way except through Him. Follow Jesus!

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Jesus taught from the OT telling us to live by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God Mat 4:4

God personally spoke the Ten Commandments Exo 20:1 He wrote them with His own finger Exo 31:18, He numbered them by design Exo 34:28 Deut 4:13 and added no more to them Deut 5:22 and collectively called this unit of Ten My commandments Exo 20:6 there is no Greater Authority than God. There was only one commandment that he started with the word Remember because He had the foresight man would forget. Should we follow man and forget God's holy Sabbath day that He promises blessings and sanctification, or follow what God said. Jesus tells us to follow what God said. Follow Jesus He will only lead us on the narrow path back to reconciliation

Isa 56:2 Blessed is the man who does this,
And the son of man who lays hold on it;
Who keeps from defiling the Sabbath,

14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.

God blessed and man cannot reverse Num 23:20 because no one is above God. Lets worship Him the way He tells us to, because He is our Creator, our Sustainer and our Redeemer. The Sabbath points us back to Creation. It shows where we came from and Who created us Exo 20:11 and keeping it, His version, is a sign between God and His people Eze 20:20

You need evidence from Genesis to support your claim.

You can't just make wild claims like every other church in history.

a) There is no mention of coveting in Genesis
b) There is no mention of taking the Lord's name in vain, every country had there own Gods anyway
c) I did not find the commandment to honor your parents
d) No commandment was given to honor the sabbath

To claim the ten were given to Adam is not supported by the evidence.
W
There is no record of a sabbath in history anywhere but in Israel.
The law of God “codified” in the Ten Commandments, “ summarized” by Jesus in several Gospel accounts, has always existed just as man since the fall has always had a sinful nature.

What was the standard of judgement that a just and loving God used to determine that the world had to be destroyed by a flood? Notice that Noah was found righteous by his faith in the creator.

Noah found grace:
[Gen 5:32 KJV] 32 And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
[Gen 6:8-9, 13 KJV] 8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. 9 These [are] the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man [and] perfect in his generations, [and] Noah walked with God. ... 13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
[Gen 7:1, 5 KJV] 1 And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. ... 5 And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him.

The Ten Commandments,
[Exo 20:3-17 KJV] 3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth:
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God [am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth [generation] of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
7. Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

10 But the seventh day [is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God: [in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is] within thy gates:
11 For [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them [is], and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
13 Thou shalt not kill.
14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
15 Thou shalt not steal.
16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that [is] thy neighbour's.

The summary quoted by Jesus from the Old Testament:
[Deu 6:5 KJV] 5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
[Lev 19:18 KJV] 18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I [am] the LORD.

[Mat 22:36-40 KJV] 36 Master, which [is] the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

What was the standard of judgement?

There is more to keeping a commandment than mere outward observance. How does one keep the commandment to keep the Sabbath? Please include everything necessary to keep the commandment.

The bible is filled with ways of keeping the Sabbath, led by the examples of Jesus and the apostles. Pretty sure this question has been answered more than once. But here's a good start the Sabbath - Christian Chat Rooms & Forums

And keeping God's commandments comes from faith and love, because He wrote His law inward, in our hearts and what is in our heart is expressed in our actions.

Disobeying God outwardly, is not a good sign.

1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

You have posited that keeping the 7th day Sabbath is a commandment of God. You owe it to everyone then to explain the commandment so that people may observe it or you are guilty of laying a yoke on others and not lifting a finger to help. Pretty sure that violates a number of commandments.

The sacrifices God told Israel were to be made according to His command, and not improvised. The number of animals, grain, oil, and wine needed to fulfill what God commanded was massive. These sacrificial offerings include morning and evening offerings, Sabbath offerings, monthly offerings, Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread, plus offerings for other yearly feast days. Every day as a regular burnt offering, Israel was commanded to bring a male lamb... morning and evening. And on the Sabbath day two lambs in their first year, without blemish, plus grain oil and drink offerings— every Sabbath, besides the regular burnt offering with its drink offering.

Numbers 28:9-10 On the Sabbath day, make an offering of two lambs a year old without defect, together with its drink offering and a grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil. This is the burnt offering for every Sabbath, in addition to the regular burnt offering and its drink offering.

But any time I have asked some of these people who pretend to keep the Sabbath, what
animals they sacrifice, they protest and make excuses and lie about what is required.

This is true, it is a good idea to establish a daily (morning) schedule to start the day off with the Lord.

[Psa 33:1 KJV] 1 Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: [for] praise is comely for the upright.

It is a good idea seven days a week however meeting with like minded Christians on a weekly basis is prescribed by Paul as well.

[Heb 10:25 KJV] 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some [is]; but exhorting [one another]: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
And that day of meeting Paul was talking about was Sabbath day.

How many here who go to church on Sunday are criticizing those who honor Sabbath day?

Yeah.

Its right in our bibles- are we have to do it turn to God's Word.

Exo 20:8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

Isaiah 58:13
“If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath,
From doing your pleasure on My holy day,
And call the Sabbath a delight,
The holy day of the Lord
honorable,
And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways,
Nor finding your own pleasure,
Nor speaking your own words,
14 Then you shall delight yourself in the Lord;
And I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth,
And feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father.
The mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

Lev 23:3 ‘Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work on it; it is the Sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.

How did Jesus keep?

Luke 4:16 So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. 17 And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah.

The same way the apostles kept:

Acts 15:21 For Moses has had throughout many generations those who preach him in every city, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath.”

Acts 13:42 So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath.

Acts 13:44 On the next Sabbath almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God.

Acts 16:13 And on the Sabbath day we went out of the city to the riverside, where prayer was customarily made; and we sat down and spoke to the women who met there.

Acts 17:2 Then Paul, as his custom was, went in to them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures,

Acts 18:4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded both Jews and Greeks.

Its what I love about God's Word- it really tells us everything we need to know.

Why we are told
Pro 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall [b]direct your paths.

And He does so through His Word. Best to let God's Word speak for Itself, no edits required, that just makes it our word and not God's Word. Only His Truth sanctifies us and all of His commandments are Truth Psa 119:151

Psa 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.

except that those early Christians met on sunday, the Lord's Day.

Jesus rose on sun, not sat,

that is one of the biggest pillars of the Sabbath for salvation teachers, and it is 100% totally false.

That's in large number whom you are encountering here. Those who insist the commandments of God mean nothing.
No longer apply.

What does that tell you?
It tells us we are getting close to the Second Coming of Jesus, because this is exactly what was predicted in scripture.

2 Thess 2:3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of [b]sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits [c]as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? 6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. 7 For the [d]mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only [e]He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Stand Fast
13 But we are [f]bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through [g]sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth, 14 to which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our [h]epistle.

16 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, 17 comfort your hearts and [i]establish you in every good word and work.

What God wrote and God spoke is part of God;s Truth Psa 119:151 and righteousness Psa 119:172 Isa 56:1-6 which is everlasting Psa 119:142 Amen!

The early Christians met every day, which does not make every day the Sabbath or a commandment. I guess that's why you didn't post such a verse.

Yes, Jesus rested in His tomb on the seventh day Sabbath and rose on the first day, but where did Jesus say He changed His commandment once? His faithful followers kept the Sabbath according to the commandment even at His death Luke 23:56 because Jesus promised not a jot or tittle will pass from His law, to not break the least of these commandments as it affects our status in heaven, judgement Mat 5:18-30

God blessed man cannot reverse so one would need a thus saith the Lord. All the thus saith the Lords Jesus told us to live by is for us to keep the Sabbath and not profane. You might want to look them up.
