It seems disagreement is not from being pentecostal, or charismatic. But no, with being saved there is not automatic production of the spiritual fruit, that is obvious to me from seeing others. Spiritual fruit, which should come as this is the main evidence of being sealed in our salvation, comes with more submission to God with the will of God revealed to us. You have yet to show you have more love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control for evidence to any other of having more submission to God with the will of God revealed. I am not perfect in that. But relative to where I was starting from these fruits are greatly produced in me, which I can give thanks to God for, as I grow to submit further to God's will that I am shown.

Baptism in the Spirit is applied to all believers, with God's Spirit then continually dwelling with them. This happens to start with, and all the growth remains to happen, after that, most probably for life while here.

I did not say they were automatic. We are to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord. All fruits need time to develop and grow. That is part of the sanctification process. We have not yet arrived. The very mindset of the believer will and is becoming like Christ. This is a daily walk, not a pick this fruit or that fruit. The fruits of the Holy Spirit are transformational. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit, in which Jesus is the person who does that, as John the Baptist said in the Gospel of John chapter 1:33.

it was Jesus who said, you will receive power to be a witness of Him after the Holy Ghost comes upon you. Acts chapter 1:8 Jesus said this to those who already had the Holy Spirit inside them. Which we see in John chapter 20:22.

Same Holy Spirit in them that had not yet come upon them another work of the Holy Spirit. Not for salvation but the power to be a witness. Our Lord Jesus Himself, at his own water Baptism, received the Holy Spirit upon him, yet he was God when they happened, so why did he need this to happen?

Because our Lord took on the form of sinful man and did nothing that was not Spirit-led. His humanity Needed what no man had but the elect of God: kings, Preist, Rulers, Judges, and Prophets. Jesus did not one miracle until he had the Holy Spirit come upon him and was led by the Spirit.

32 And John bore witness, saying, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him.
33 I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’ 34 And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.”

Luke chapter 4:4

4 Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
"it was Jesus who said, you will receive power to be a witness of Him after the Holy Ghost comes upon you. Acts chapter 1:8 Jesus said this to those who already had the Holy Spirit inside them. Which we see in John chapter 20:22."

The above which you quoted was referring to the 11 apostles, no one else, and certainly not us today. Yoy can trace back the origin of this to Luke 24:49 and then read the early Acts verses as you mentioned, and beyond to where the Spirit did fall on the 11, and they spoke in tongues convincing the Jews on the day of Pentecost who were added to the Lord's body and the church was begun in Jerusalem. The 11 then continued to do wonders and miracles, enabling the manifestation of the Spirit on others by the laying on of THEIR hands on them.

Luke 24:49

"49And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high."

Two ways to have the Spirit everyone has access to Him through the Holy Bible but only those who God chooses receive the Spirit anyone telling you otherwise is a liar:

Having access to the Holy Spirit:

The Holy Bible: He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you. John 14:7

Being born of the Spirit:

Receiving the Spirit: Then John testified, “I saw the Holy Spirit descending like a dove from heaven and resting upon him. John 1:32

Receiving the Spirit: And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability. Act 2:4

You are attempting again to misrepresrnt what I have said. You and I have already discussed this text and others.

1. Jesus said you will receive power after the Holy Spirit comes upon you after the resurrection and on the day of His ascension.
Luke 20: 22 was not on that day. Luke 24: 49 was not. they are parallel scriptures with added insight to what Jesus said

The text that says in John 20: 22 He breathed on them and said, " receive the Holy Spirit is contextual with Luke 24:39-44, where it states Jesus opened up their understanding where all were there, including Thomas.
After the ascension and the day of Pentacost were full, the Holy Spirit came upon all in the upper room.

Peter explained that what had just happened was prophesied by Joel and that it was for all, even to those whomever the Lord Jesus shall call.

Acts 2:16-21

16 But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:

17 ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,
That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your young men shall see visions,
Your old men shall dream dreams.
18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days;
And they shall prophesy.
19 I will show wonders in heaven above
And signs in the earth beneath:

Blood and fire and vapor of smoke.
20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood,
Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.
21 And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the Lord
Shall be saved.’

38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”

Your position is exclusionary from those today when Jesus and Peter said it was for all who believe.

Receiving the "gift" (singular) of the Holy Ghost as stated in Acts 2:38 is NOT the same as "gifts" (plural) of the Holy Ghost. One is singular and one is plural and it's a huge difference in meaning. Acts 2:38 means the Spirit itself, the indwelling of the Spirit that abides within each and every person baptized into the body of Christ, the church.

The "gifts" of the Holy Ghost, those listed in 1 Cor 12:8-10, are the miraculous manifestations of the Holy Ghost, commonly referred to as 'gifts', which were enabled by the laying on of the apostle's hands. Read/study again and look at the words and context more carefully.

At the moment of repentance/acceptance, God’s Holy Spirit enters converts spiritual hearts (RV 3:20), uniting them with God as heavenly Father (RM 8:9) and identifying them with Christ’s worldwide/catholic body or church (CL 1:18). This manifold event is called spiritual birth or baptism (1CR 12:13). Because there is no salvation outside of Christ’s ekklesia or church per ACTS 4:12, we can infer that this dynamic occurs also for pre-NT believers, even though they may not have been fully aware of it.

Because a person’s commitment to Christ is in accordance with God’s perfect will and the response of yielding to His calling (1TM 2:3-4), the moment of spiritual baptism fulfills the command of Ephesians 5:18 to be filled or cooperate fully with the Spirit. Although a new Spirit-filled convert has access to all of the power he/she needs for loving like Christ (EPH 3:16-19), no one attains immediate “perfection” by remaining filled with the Holy Spirit forever (PHP 3:12).

Instead, the combination of temptations, ignorance and the old selfish nature results in immature saints committing their first post-conversion sin(s). Then they are no longer spiritual or filled with the Holy Spirit but rather acting like unsaved unbelievers (1CR 3:1). This “venial” type of error differs from the “mortal” or damning sin of unbelief or apostasy (rejecting God’s Lordship, cf. JM 1:15).

As soon as a new Christian realizes a sin was committed, he/she should confess it (1JN 1:9) rather than compound it by trying to hide it or cover it up like Adam and Eve did (GN 3:7-8). Then God will forgive and--because confession obeys God's perfect will--the saint will again be in a Spirit-filled or spiritual condition.

This spiritual flip-flopping might happen once a day, or it could occur several times in an hour. While this instability may be bad, failure to confess promptly is much worse, because it results in chain-sinning or back-sliding. This condition is also referred to as being carnal/worldly (1CR 3:1) or prodigal (LK 15:13) if it continues for weeks or years.

The outward evidence that a person who was baptized by the HS is filled with the HS is loving behavior per Jesus in JN 13:35 & 1JN 4:7-21 and Paul per GL 5:14-26. Some people say glossalalia or speaking in tongues is a sign of being Spirit-filled, but they fail to realize that the original miracle involved speaking earthly languages one had never learned (in ACTS 2:4-11).

A superficial form of glossalalia was babbling in an unknown language that became problematic for Paul in the Corinthian church (1CR 14:1-19), which may be why he said that tongues will be stilled (13:8) and even prophecy (speaking for strengthening, encouraging and comfort per 14:3) will disappear when "completeness" comes (13:10), probably referring to the completion of Scripture with the NT canon (cf. 2TM 3:14-4:5).

It's not at the moment of acceptance and repentance that the Holy Ghost resides in you, but rather at the time of baptism into Christ which is the next and final step in the conversion/salvation process as delineated in Acts 2:38-47. There, the Jews believed, were told to repent, and be baptized for the remission of their sins at which point they would receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, and later on in that verse, it's said that the Lord thereby added them to his body (the church).

Re "It's not at the moment of acceptance and repentance that the Holy Ghost resides in you": Not per RV 3:20.

Re "but rather at the time of baptism into Christ which is the next and final step in the conversion/salvation process as delineated in Acts 2:38-47. There, the Jews believed, were told to repent, and be baptized for the remission of their sins at which point they would receive the gift of the Holy Ghost": This view contradicts 1CR 12:13 as well as logic: How can someone who is obeying the perfect will of God by accepting and repenting do so without cooperating fully/being filled with God's HS? It is more likely that the process was not well understood at first until Paul clarified it later on.

Re "it's said that the Lord thereby added them to his body (the church)": Yes, which suggests/implies that this dynamic occurs even for pre-NT believers, though they also did not understand it, because there is no salvation outside of Christ’s ekklesia or church per ACTS 4:12.

God gives man freewill to choose whether to believe and pursue what He reveals in His word:

"If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?" Luke 11:13

Receiving the Holy Spirit is available for all and is required in order to be considered a child of God. (Romans 8:9-11)

No, they were not. Cornelious had no hands laid on him. The word of God doesn't teach or say that a Hand must be laid on people to receive only from the Apostles. That is an assumption. God is not controlled by man, nor is the Holy Spirit. Remember it was the empowering of the Holy Spirit are the supernatural event that drew the people to come and see. Jesus said in John chapter 14

16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

I thought we went through this previously. Only 2 accounts of the Holy Ghost falling on people without the laying on ofvthe apostle's hands and in both cases it was unique and for equally unique reasons. As a sign from God. 1st time on the day of Pentecost when the Holy Ghost fell on the 11 apostles miraculously and the end result was the beginning of the church at Jerusalem. The 2nd and only other time was the one you mentioned when the Holy Ghost fell miraculously om Cornelius and his household, also a sign from God that the Gentiles were to be included in the body, and the church was started there amongst the Gentiles. Note that they still were baptized into Christ and received the indwelling of the Spirit thereby.

We did, and you were incorrect then. It is not unique. No scripture says the Holy Spirit comes upon a person only by the laying on of hands. It is the Church setting where the elders or Apostles affirm the Gift God had called one to. They have the gift it is affirmed to serve and be of the five-fold ministries. Can you tell me how many times it says the laying on of hands in 1cor chapters 12 through 14 concerning the Gifs of the Holy Spirit?

11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

The "He" in 1cor 12:11 is the Holy Spirit laying on of hands if so required, is not even mentioned once concerning the gifts that are all listed in verses 3-10. You are incorrect.

No scripture says it emphatically but the scriptural records being our guide shows that. There are no recorded instances of it happening any other way aside from the 2 unique instances mentioned. Plus the inference is pretty overwhelming.

Acts 8

13Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.

18And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, 19Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.

again Acts proves there is no method or dogma of receiving the empowering of Holy Spirit

This can happen at salvation, After salvation, just like the 11 Apostles in Acts chapter 2, and by laying on of hands.

Yet when the church was started, Paul did not even mention in 1cor chapter 12 when he said, "Now concerning Spiritual gifts I do not want you to be ignorant." Paul did not even mention laying on of hands.

at the time to emphasize the importance of laying on hands Paul didn't even say it.

12 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant: 2 You know that you were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, however you were led. 3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.

4 There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: 8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

Not once does it say by the laying on of hands

again Acts proves there is no method or dogma of receiving the empowering of Holy Spirit

Believe what you like. BUT, there are no spiritual gifts manifested today and haven't been since the death of the apostle's. There's no one performing miracles, healing people from various diseases, raising the dead, prophesying, etc; the only thing that's prevalent is a bunch of nonsensical babbling. 👋 goodbye

Show me Bible real simple. name call mock all you want but the Bible is the authority not you or I. Your lack of experience of healing, and miracles is not authoritative. Try praying. Nothing you have said is biblical refuting. You have no answer for 1cor chapter 12 . Just insults and mockery. LOL have at it. Those here can see your hatred.
