Give of yourself...
If you're not working, and you're not going to school, or raising a family, then you have time.
Use that time to serve and be a blessing to others.
I'm sure there are places in the UK (where, according to your profile, you are) that need volunteers.
* Food pantries to pack and distribute food
* After school programs to mentor children
* Animal shelters that need help cleaning and playing with/exercising the animals
* Elderly who need help cleaning their homes or getting to stores or appointments
The list could go on, but I hope you get the idea.
I bet if you do this with love in your heart, God will see this and reward you with Blessings. For you REAP what you SOW.

My friend. Life is more precious than money and material possessions. Knowledge of God is God's greatest gift to us. You can search the whole earth and the entire Universe and you will never find a friend like Jesus in anyone or anything.

Many people who seemingly make it, who have everything the world offers, take their own lives. You know Jesus. If you know Jesus, talk to Him. Thank Him for the situation you are in.

“whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
Colossians 3:17

Never Give Up

I've done and continue to do jobs which a lot of guys I know would not do. Take whatever you get for starters. Wish you luck

Online college courses? You can often work on them on your own time. And if you're in the USA you might be able to get financial aid.
There is nothing except computer stuff, im not good at coding and web-dev is nearly dead by ai and premade template sites etc. No one is willing to pay anymore. And being christian, games design is anti-christian seemingly etc. I wanted to do electrical or an engineering based thing as that is what i partially learned etc but there is nothing except a job I feel i will have to leave due to the impossible body and mind numbing tasks they keep giving me.

What do you mean when you say that God is telling you off? How so?
Whenever I go to do something God shuts it down. A computer gets turned off, or a light goes out, and if I ignore it I suffer consequences such as going to hospital for a stomach camera, or find out it was a total waste of time a year or so later etc. It seems what is best is to not ignore this from God or I suffer.

Where to begin? If 'dave44' is still keeping tabs on all this fine advice, although seemingly has taken leave, I would like to offer my impression of his dilemma. Having nothing more than the OP, these two examples seems to indicate something lacking for anything requiring comprehension of sound grammar construction. So, even studying online at one's own pace may even be in question?

Not all that many years ago, I too was in like aptitude. Study time was exhausting. Unless I was absorbed in something I thoroughly enjoyed yet knew I needed the knowledge of, oft-times my attention-deficit reduced my endurance to a single paragraph before closing the book or pamphlet. That has given way to chapters consumed nowadays after patient persistence.

If this is at all what 'dave44' is up against, I would suggest as 'JohnDB' did, get your applications out there for the on-the-job-training openings. If transportation isn't likely, I would make myself a regular at the library and possibly explain your needs to the librarian. That's a freebee many seem to miss. Find a spot and reeeeeead and jump on the bank of Library PCs there to fill out applications as well.

God our Savior always, always has our best interest in mind. If in fact, your description of a severe predicament is possibly more than you were able to pen here, I would like to remind you of His care is also in those times as well. God bless you!

After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace,
who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself
perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
(1 Peter 5:10)
I live in the uk not usa, so on the job training is not available unless you are young and paid less and physically stong to be treated like a labourer or trash. I currently have a role that is too hard physically for my age and see with sense and my willpower, it is very unlikely to last. I do not need to live and have no house or family to take care of so wasting my life in painful slave like work except without the whip is mentally miserable to continue and physically. My congnition seems ok for online work except from sitting problems from so long develop. So not a great avenue for me online. I really dont need this world that has nothing for me and heaven seems to have nothing either. Nothing in the bible of desciption except a new body I am not allowed to use for anything I can relate to. So a meaningless life continueing in misery is all god has provided so far for me. I have no use, see no future, am not trained by god like the other "special christians", and my life beforehand (30's = 10 years roughly) was always everyone treating me like a slave and like crud. So work wise and money, I have no clue except to become homeless or die on a hilltop away from the rubbish like a monk etc.

Good post.

ALL work is honorable.

NOT working is dishonorable.

Blaming God is dishonorable.

I sympathize with this young man to a point. But this idea that because I'm not doing what I believe to be worthy work is born out of a generation thinking they are special, and deserving. Receiving the dreaded participation trophy, instead of being taught that failures can strengthen them.

I'm sorry for seeming harsh, but what this guy needs most is a good kick in the pants.
Im over 40 and have a harder job than you. That is why I need help. I have probably done more than most in the uk but you obviously are not aware of uk society and employment situations. Mostly women or "camp males" or chatty people are given the jobs, especially because of the "diversity equity inclusion creep". But I am not able to be a labourer due to foot / shoulder issues. Otherwise I would do manual work other than the manual work I currently do as an agency worker (unreliable etc).

Although I agree with your mentallity, you are wrong. There is only volunteer work in charity shops etc. But I work now in an agency doing excessively manual work and am likely to have to quit due to injuries from overworking muscles etc. Besides, where would think the money would come from to do all that travelling for volunteering, unless they paid for it?

Biggest issue I see here is that you lack motivation...either to go back to school or find a job. No other person can really help you with that. I'm of the mind that most everyone basically starts off with the same level of intelligence, and that everyone is gifted in some way. You want a nice paying interesting job...I get it. However, you must make some goals on how to get there, and then take the necessary steps. It really is that simple.

1st of all, become a born again Christian if you are not one. THAT'S ALWAYS 1ST!!! God handed out talents to everyone, sometimes more than 1 talent. you have abilities to do things great. ask Jesus to tell you what they are. 2nd, fix your attitude! it sounds like a "woe is me" situation. do not condition yourself to negativity, complaining, doubting & pouting! repeat to yourself positive statements: "i will find a job", "Jesus is going to help me", "from now on, i will own a positive outlook always"! & know this, the devil has you right where he wants you. don't give into the devil. he has no power against a Christian unless the Christian lets him. what do you know how to do good? there may be 3 or 4 things you are good at. it also sound like you have to increase your ambition! know Psalm 37:23- "the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord & he delighteth in his way"! Psalm 119:105- " thy word is a lamp unto my feet & a light unto my path"! read books on what you know how to do. have you ever heard: "if you don't get started you will never get started"? maybe you aren't in tune with God. ask Him to open your mind to listening to Him. a testimony for you: i was severely beaten by my parents but i overcame my childhood by myself with mind power & then when i became a b.a. Christian, Jesus certainly assisted me in all. i would read books in the winter time on landscaping, coins, antiques & other merchandise. i learned everything by myself. also, when i was 20, i had a full time job plus was playing in a full time band. i still felt like i could do more & became even more ambitious & started dealing in coins, merchandise & antiques. blessings to you dave44 & i hope you enjoy a God blessed Christmas!
You are very pointful but not aware of the human mind. It is very unlikely a person is going to say and do all these things if life is miserable. I can put it on a card and repeat it, but that is self deception using the wishy washy " I will dream it into reality" new age/new thought thinking. Im a realist christian, who prays and asks but does not receive except when others pray. I get next to nothing from God unless others pray it also. Except for salvation of course. In the usa it is easy to make money compared to the uk. But I live in the uk, everything requires a certificate or licence, or special insurances that require a certificate or a licence, or money to start off with. And if I fail at self employment with whatever funds I have, then I am at zero zero. Not even enough to travel to a job etc. And I do not want to rob people doing dropshipping or some online scams as I am christian. See later message of mine / work etc.

I did college for about 8 years doing courses that suddenly shut down, was lied to on three courses, or other. I have no courses to do that lead to a job as my certificates are at level 3 and need level 4567 etc which requires £2000+ per year or an actual apprenticeship for an over 40 year old. There is not much out there and no replies. It is cheaper to train a "child" etc. It is not that simple unless I become "myself orientated" and not christian orientated. If God has some direction for me and I am praying, should he not direct me to the best role? The correct training? Yet nothing except an agency role and this was an answer not for a job really but to get over being a squeamish flaky weak person in regards to blood/meat icky stuff etc. If I cannot keep the role long term due to the damage it does to my body, it was obviously only of use to get me over my flakyness with mentioned etc.

So... You have a job you don't like, you can't find the job you want, you don't want any of the jobs that are available, and everybody who has said anything to you here on this forum is completely wrong. That is the pattern that keeps repeating in all your replies.

Good luck dude. You're going to need it.

From what I have seen, people like you either eventually learn to drop their pride and do what they have to do, or they get very bitter and die as crabby old men.

But from what I have seen on this thread, you will tell me I am wrong about that too. So whatever. Good luck.

Dude, I literally had the job a month. For an agency. Lifting over a 1000+ crates in 8 hours for pallets, and more on the 12 hour+ shifts. In the first week I got soaked and got ill the last day from being in the freezer area as crates were wet, 2nd week was still ill for two days so did half a week, 3rd week, did 3 days and then the roads were closed to a storm and police, and had to pay for physio after 1st week due to lobsided intense trap issues from so many crates, 4th week I did 3 days and cut through my finger at home so ended up taking a week and a half off for the hand to heal, 5th week am waiting to see if I get sacked or still have a job as no communication is available until I get there in a few days. So yes, I am rationally sure it is very unlikely to work out as it is also christmas and will have extremely likely have increased the numbers of required workload if I still have a job.

Stop making assumptions from the sound of the text. it is hard to sound appreciative and hopeful and nice and kind without saying i love you, thank you, bless you, awe your so cute, oh that is so intelligent or otherwise etc. People do tend to rush into opinions rather than give what was asked for. It I suppose is the sin nature but I did pray for better from myself and all, but I am still here with these issues so is obviously in need of more prayer. but thanks for the input, I love you too, in Jesus name, amen.

1st, none of this posting is derogatory. my greatness, i taught you all of the above & you tell me i'm not aware of the human mind! you are focused on defeat. listen to yourself: "unlikely....do those things..... if miserable"! that is proclaiming defeat & an unwillingness to initiate self help. do you think i am joking how i helped myself & cured many problems? i started my landscape business with a partially broken Craftsman 18" mower. no help from anyone, including no help with money from anyone. & you admit self deception which means you are refusing to believe there is help. a realist Christian? holy heavens, you are the opposite! what is real, a person helping him or herself, becoming productive & a success or someone with an attitude like yours? if you are praying & asking & not receiving it sounds like you are praying in doubt. it is impossible for a Christian to ask & not receive. someone may ask Jesus for something & not receive because the asking was not in the name of Jesus, ( John 14:13,14 ). you seem to have a large supply of negativity, defeat & lack of ambition. why don't you think you have to have licenses, permits & certificates in the u.s.a.? i have a Certificate of Authority to collect sale tax, a DBA, permit to apply fertilizer, all proper truckers licenses & insurances. you are definitely missing out on some important elements of success. i apologize if i'm to direct & extreme. i really do apologize. my very strict regiment has given me great success. this next part, i'm not telling you to brag, but: my wife & i are going on a 2 week cruise this winter to the Caribbean & it's of the higher level. we also dine at gourmet restaurants & those dinners can be $500 to $600! here in the u.s.a., a lack of ambition is rampant. been that way for decades because the government gives away too much too often. they don't observe 2nd Timothy 3:10. well, i sincerely hope you enjoy a merry Christmas!

I didn't rush into an opinion. I read what you told many people, and the pattern of what you said repeated over and over and over.

There's a better way, if you want to use it. Many people here have already told you what the way is. I hope you will go back and read their posts and use that way.

It really is better. I promise it is.

I didn't realize gaming or game design wasn't Christian. I've actually had an idea for a Christian game, but I have zero computer designing skills. And it's one I'd want done well. Too many Christian games are low quality and cheesy.

Anyway, yeeeears ago I tried to get a online business degree, thinking it would be helpful if I was ever able to start up one of my business ideas, but I was/am a SAHM and the college classes were too much for me at the time. Do you have any business ideas you could implement? Be your own boss?

I was trying to get into game design but it seems God shut me down on this. I also had as is often the case a christian game in mind. But even the "twins" who tried to make a AAA game on the bible seem to have stalled and it has taken years with no game except a trial. I wanted to build a simple renewed version of captain bible with a better less alien shooting orientation. Also an online educational library college for VR headsets that would teach all of bible and truthful text translation issues (kjv etc), in wonderfully designed libraries and locations and chat areas if I ever got skilled enough but it was a dream not reality. Too much training time and money I do not have. A simple captain bible memorisation game that is better and longer with more puzzles and biblical stuff would be doable, but God seems to have shut me down as if it is addiction stimulation of the flesh like dopamine addiction to play a game and hit "wins". This is what all games tend to do even puzzles.

The library / education college game would need a team of people and then it could work. But too much for an unskilled beginner etc. Only the design management and modelling and path of content would be possible for me to sort out for the team for a correct purposeful game etc. But its a pipe dream needing too much money etc.

Many other ideas of self-employment came to mind but when thought through also cost too much, and some the legal risks outweighed the returns. I also have no business or self-employed experience either.

Curious - why is this the case? No access to a telephone at all? There is no way you can contact the agency - or they you?
They have a language barrier and it is a shift based system also. No one answers the phones when called. Even texts are difficult to get an answer.
