Having been in a good many churches in 3 different countries and having held leadership positions in some of them and being friends with teachers and pastors in others, I doubt that you, yet in the youth of your salvation, could possibly in any way shape or form, know more about it than do I. My knowledge is first hand and that would include research and actually being present sometimes with those who deviate from scripture with regards to being gay or trans or whatever.

But we are not discussing that according to your op, so your little less beaten path in case of emergency, is not going to save the day here. Have you buckled in yet? The sudden stop can give you whiplash you know.
Prideful brother, so very prideful....

So i guess John the most loved apostle who was never married, had no kids and was once a sinner had no claim either.....
oh wait, wasn't the apostle Paul once a sinner who was single with no kids yet stood in front of many and taught....
Many scholars believe that Paul had been married at one time, but since you actually stated, at one point, that NO disciples were married and have since been and accepted correction, why would you throw this tidbit of questionable information into the mix now?
You know, it sounds like you just want to be right here, believing yourself higher in the lineup than other people here who soundly know a whole lot more about the subject matter than you do.

Are you abstaining from marrying because you believe that is a way to become 'closer to God' and perhaps achieve His pat on the back for doing so? It seems, from reading some of your other posts in other threads, that you are of the 'reformed' belief? You can tell us otherwise of course.

I see. The Bible tells us what credentials to have and when someone follows up on that, you object. Give it about 25 years or so and maybe you can list a few things yourself. ;) If we are all still here of course

Dude, you have no scripture to put the stamp of ok on either. The Bible does not tell us what color of eyes or hair John had either, so does that mean he had neither?

You cannot have a household unless you are married and the op is not by his own admission and is only three yrs old. Of course we have no actual reputation of anyone participating in this forum unless they insist on demonstrating what that might be as the most contentious here are so happy to do.:whistle:
Yeah.... it's interesting how this topic is often posted by a male who is young in the faith. They are happy to make a big huge deal about how their male-ness makes them more qualified than those "prideful daughters of Eve". I don't argue with them on that point because I respect their interpretation of scripture.

But then if I point out that they, themselves, are not qualified to be a pastor due to their youth in Christ, they WIG OUT :eek:o_O:eek:. Like, seriously, it sets them off big time. Which tells me that it's not really about respecting scripture at all, but about wanting to feel superior. Which is kind of sad.

And although we have no actual reputation of anyone here, the fruit of the Spirit (or lack thereof) says a lot about their spiritual maturity/qualifications. ;)

and here we go with the young in faith.... take the plank out of your eye as it's blinding you very much.

Although has no impact on me, I am curious as to why you keep pointing out male dominance and that i am not qualified to be a pastor?? I feel like there's more to your past or upbringing that has hurt you dearly....

I love when it takes "youth in Christ" to point out the flaws in the "elders in Christ".. What an amazing God we serve!!
