It looks like I either sprained or broke my right foot at work today. I won't know which until sometime tomorrow.

Either way, any prayers for a speedy recovery would be appreciated.

Thank you.

I started to give a thumbs up... but then it looks like I'm happy you broke your foot.

Yeah, really not sure how to respond.
Very confused.
Your injury has turned out to be extremely confusing for me.
See what you've done!
You really need to heal up and stop doing this!
Good grief.

I'm not sure if it is broken yet.

I need to have it x-rayed sometime tomorrow.

There's always something...

Be sure to keep that lead apron up around your man-stuff.

Sometimes I just wear one around all day... just to be cautious.

They're x-raying my foot.

I mean, even if I was to brag , then I would still think that there is safe enough distance between my "man-stuff" and my foot. :p

What do you think I am?

A human tripod?

Anyhow, something is definitely wrong. If I keep a high-top sneaker on my foot, then I can maneuver around with just a limp, and hardly any pain. When I take it off, and try to walk barefoot or while just wearing a sock, then I can hardly even stand up, and there is a fair amount of pain (I am kind of immune to physical pain because it pales to others types of pain I have often experienced in life).

Well, large mechanical problems like broken bones are pretty easy to diagnose, so I'm sure they'll get you sorted pretty fast.

It's also possible it's all psychosomatic.... maybe your foot just isn't happy with it's life.

Well, the good news is that my foot is not broken. Just a major sprain.

The company doctor gave me some major restrictions at work. I have to remain seated for 50 minutes out of every 60 minutes, and when I walk or stand for those allotted 10 minutes, I need to use a cane. When I informed my General Manager of the restrictions, he told me to not bother coming to work because they do not have any positions where someone can be seated while working. He also told me that someone from Human Resources will call me tomorrow to let me know about a leave of absence and workman's compensation, so, hopefully, I will still receive my full pay as I recover. I say "hopefully" because my company is not known for its compassion or honesty, but it seems as if they have a legal obligation to pay me because I sustained my injury at work.

Anyhow, that is the update, and sincere thanks to anybody who prayed for me.

Now, the bad news.

Seeing how I will not be working for a bit, I will have more time to post here, so brace yourselves. :p

I had another appointment with the company doctor this morning, and my work restrictions are in place until at least next Wednesday, so I am still stuck at home.

During my visit, the doctor asked me if I had been applying heat to my foot. I considered answering somewhat like this...

Well, I have been putting my foot in my mouth a lot lately on CC, and my mouth is warm...does that count?

Anyhow, it looks like you're stuck with me for another week.

You don't mind, do you?

lol.

it's amazing how my simple comment weeks ago got so much attention. It's a good thing that there are no rabid Trump fanatics here.

That depends on what you mean by "popular."

According to a recent poll regarding which forum member other members here would like to roast over an open flame, I won the "popular vote" by a landslide.

Do I get a trophy? No? Only some marinade on my body?

Well, that's something, I guess.

:p

Of course you win a prize. I always give prizes for folks who like to win arguments online.

You win a trip for 2 to Aruba and a washing machine.
Congratulations.
A trip to Aruba is exactly what anybody needs right now during this cold polar vortex. :D

lol.

What makes you think that I like to win arguments online? Is that how I come across to you? Again, on that thread, I am only seeking to uphold God's righteousness. My participation there (or elsewhere) has absolutely nothing to do with me or any desire to win an argument.

Anyhow, seeing how I am presently immobile due to my foot situation, and seeing how I normally wash my clothes at the local laundromat (unless I just use my tears after being pummeled in the open forums...lol), I would prefer the washing machine.

I mean, seriously, a trip to Aruba could go terribly wrong, but what could possibly go wrong with a washing machine?

A little help...

Hey, having a sense of humor is very important in life, i think.
God bless you and you'll be alright with your foot.

We place all our worries in His hands !
Yea, sometimes, you just have to laugh (to keep from crying).

God bless you, too.

If you need a little extra support while recovering there are some various air-casts available. Lot better than high tops.
Not sure I would apply heat to a Major sprain at first. Take it easy.

To be honest, I have stayed almost entirely off of my feet since I got hurt last Saturday. When I try to walk, abnormal strain is placed upon my calf muscle and on my knee because I cannot walk properly due to my severely sprained foot, so I have been spending almost the entirety of my days in bed.
