Nothing can be added or removed from what God commands (Deut. 4:2; 12:32), but did you notice that Deuteronomy 18:15 extends the law of Moses to everything that God's prophet says?

The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your fellow Israelites. You must listen to him. (Deut. 18:15 NIV)

I guess this could mean everything that God's prophets spoke in the rest of the Old Testament, but especially what Jesus said. So when the rich young ruler wanted to keep all of the commandments, this might be the one thing that he lacked: he needed to do whatever Jesus commanded. (Though maybe "love your neighbour as yourself" may have been his problem too, but Scripture does not say that explicitly)

Jesus looked at him and loved him. “One thing you lack,” he said. “Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” (Mark 10:21 NIV)

Moses Law = obey Jesus?

Precious friend, you do realize of course, that we, Today, Under Grace, are Not "under
The Law" But, Under GRACE? And, Furthermore, Paul, our GRACE apostle, states:

"Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient,"... (1 Timothy 1:9-11 AV) righteous are Under GRACE, Correct?:
+
"...ye are not under the law, but Under GRACE." (Romans 6:14 AV)

More Biblical info is here:

I have decided to follow Jesus?

Which for you, precious friend?

Amen.

You have blocked your profile, so we can't see if you claim to be a Christian. So, please explain your understanding of the Christian's relationship to the Law as given through Moses.

Try reading all of the Bible. You can't keep the law. There is no priesthood, no temple and no animal sacrifice. The Law is a shadow. If you want to live in the shadows, that's your choice. Some of us want to live in the light, in the new covenant of grace.

You guess wrong. Read Galatians and Hebrews for a start. Oh, and have you sold everything that you own to follow Jesus? And which of the 613 commandments are you not obeying? You'd better get that right or God will condemn you. Or rather, you condemn yourself.

Jesus said to keep the law of Moses but this was during the time when the first covenant was still in effect. It doesn't apply under the second covenant which began at the death of Christ on the cross.

Mat 19:16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

Jesus will tell him how to get eternal life under the first covenant as a Jew:

Mat 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
Mat 19:18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,
Mat 19:19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Keep the commandments! That's how you obtained eternal life at that time.

Mat 19:20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
Mat 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
Mat 19:22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

This is if one wants to go above and beyond the minimum and be the best person possible in the name of God. Selling everything was not necessary to obtain eternal life as we have seen above.

Second confirmation:

Luk 10:25 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
Luk 10:26 He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?
Luk 10:27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
Luk 10:28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

Under the second covenant, OT law keeping isn't the way to eternal life.

Joh 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
Joh 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Joh 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

Jesus is the only way to eternal life now.

We know that YHVH of the Torah is Yeshua of the New Testament. We understand that the foretold prophecies given to the Prophets from essentially YHVH were about Yeshua fulfilling them as the Messiah. Which means that Yeshua fulfilled His Own Law. So if you are stating by accepting Yeshua as LORD GOD and SAVIOR is keeping the Law given to Moses then this will be an interesting Thread to see how it develops.

Obeying Yeshua, His 2 Commandments of Loving God with all that you are and am + loving your neighbor as yourself is literally fulfilling the intention of the Law.

But I will wait for better clarification connecting the Law with being obedient to Yeshua before I delve any deeper (y)

Brothers and Sisters (i.e. good morning Magenta :))

1)Moses was a Christian, a sinner saved by grace through faith in Jesus who led him daily throughout his life:

[Jhn 5:39-47 KJV] 39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. 40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. 41 I receive not honour from men. 42 But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. 43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. 44 How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that [cometh] from God only? 45 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is [one] that accuseth you, [even] Moses, in whom ye trust. 46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. 47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

Here is the same concept again:

[Luk 16:24-31 KJV] 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. 25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. 26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that [would come] from thence. 27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: 28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. 29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. 30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. 31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

It was a strong coincidence that Jesus raised a man named Lazarus from the dead, after that the leaders started plotting to kill him:

The Jews then wanted not only to kill Lazarus:

[Jhn 12:10-11 KJV] 10 But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death; 11 Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.

That was when the decision to kill jesus was hatched:
[Jhn 11:1, 13-14, 23-25, 27, 39-44, 53 KJV] 1 Now a certain [man] was sick, [named] Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha. ... 13 Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep. 14 Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead. ... 23 Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. 24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. 25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: ... 27 She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world. ... 39 Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been [dead] four days. 40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? 41 Then they took away the stone [from the place] where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up [his] eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. 42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said [it], that they may believe that thou hast sent me. 43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. 44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go. ... 53 Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death.

See Luke 21, about that woman that gave two pence and the other gave 20 pence, as Jesus asked this, who gave more the other or that woman?
They replied the other gave more and Jesus said not true
Read it.
now the same with that rich person, he was not willing to let go of everything. that is the case, and is when the Disciples asked Jesus, watching that rich man walk away sad
They were perplexed, and so asked Jesus, how can anyone be saved?
Jesus answered with man (people) it is impossible
Matthew 19:26
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

What was he saying? No flesh can do it, not of any work of themselves ever
yet with Father it is possible, was he talking about his going to that cross willingly? Yes, I do see this presently and am deeply thankful now that I know I can't be perfect, I see to glory in my iniquities over using them to get gain as religion does that, uses grace for self gain.
And now see, this as well. He was not asking that rich man to let go of all he had right now, that moment, as is so misunderstood today, through religion, any religion
He was saying be available to be used by my Father, the Holy Spirit and if said to you give, then give, if not do not, Father knows best. Therefore I have decided to sit still go into my own closet and shut the door, Let go of the me attitude, I need, I got to have and get things, I can do it attitude taught by religions to get by doing right, really? That is how sin gets in, including Adultery. How you doing with that? I know for me I tried and could not do it, not perfect ever, only God can and did it for us by Son and supplies all need. therefore thinking I have any need is not from God to even think that for me anyways
Now these truths imputed to me from God are imputed to everyone that sincerely believes God without any ulterior motives to get things here on earth by doing it right. No one can, if anyone can, then Jesus got sent in Vain from God Father to us
And will not flow through anyone's veins
The risen Son gets imputed in and through us. We start out trying to imitate Jesus. one day anyone trying sees they can't do it and then see to believe and willing ask for Jesus the risen to live through us in love and mercy to all. that is not easy, yet it is truth, to be dead to self and alive to Father through the risen Son given us, at least me thank you

No one because as Deity He is the WORD.
But as flesh, all flesh have the same Creator.

Wrong. Jesus is not his own father. God the Father is the God of Jesus Christ:

Rev_3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

Joh_20:17 Jesus saith unto her,
Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

I am a Christian. The Law of Moses is not binding on someone who has died to the law in Christ (Rom. 7:6).

Still, the Law of Moses (including all 5 books of Moses) remains binding on all Israel until each of them individually believes in Jesus Christ, and dies to the law. One consequence of what I posted is that Judaism without Christ is actually breaking the Law of Moses, because it is refusing to obey the Prophet that God sent. Also, it is one possible explanation of the "one thing" that the rich young ruler lacked.

Jesus was speaking to Mary Magdalene as her Rabbi.

The scripture from Rev I quoted is LONG after the resurrection of Christ. He spoke of his God in Rev. When he spoke in John of his God and her God being the same God, it too was said AFTER his resurrection.

John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

My view is that the rich young ruler's response should have been - "Lord, I can't save myself - forgive me, a sinner!", and Jesus' response likely would have been "repent and believe on me". Instead, he tried to earn his own salvation (which is impossible) - and could not admit to his sin despite it being obvious when Jesus commanded him to give away his great wealth, and so was unable to repent - and thus went away sad.

Technically, John spoke to the angel before Jesus Himself in chapter 4.

According to Bible Hermeneutics and Theologians (Protestants) God Himself doesn't have a God.

So either Jesus is speaking from His human nature, or the angel speaking for Him is acknowledging who Jesus is. But ultimately speaking, God does not have a God. God is God.

It's Jesus speaking, and it matches what he said after the resurrection. God the Father is the God of God the Son.
