Romans 10:9

King James Version

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

This is from BibleGateway, I think you should believe through the KJV of the Holy Bible though, since this honestly might have a typo in it or something that causes it not to be authentic. Have a nice day. :)

I wish you be more specific and tell us where this "so-called" typo is located? My NASB states, "that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved;"

So, can you explain after reading these to renditions why the KJV compared to the NASB makes mine not authentic? Btw, I hope your not one of those King James only believers?

This verse is why belief in the miracle of Christ's resurrection is part of GRFS (cf. 1CR 15:17).

8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

The Jews Shema prayer. They would confess their one God of Israel, with their mouth....Chant it/recite it every morning and evening. It was in a scroll Attached to their arm. Directly across from their heart. Someone can help me out here, but I believe some would place the scroll right between the eyes?

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved.PERIOD.

Romans 10:9-10 ~ If you confess with you mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. With your heart you believe and are justified, and with your mouth you
confess and are saved.

I haven't use "thou shalt" since I was a teenager. "Thine"? Thine I used the other day purely by accident.

So kind of you to explain your acronyms.

Do you get some weird satisfaction from being obtuse? Just stop being so lazy and type the full words.
God's requirement for salvation, which I invite everyone to use along with NT, OT, GW, HS, etc.
(Saves a lot of time :^)

Is your time so precious that you can’t facilitate clear communication? Seriously, man, if you don’t have time to type out the full words in your posts, you don’t have time to be posting on this forum. Please, stop using obtuse acronyms.

I don't know if there are any to be honest, but it's copy and pasted from BibleGateway so there might be something wrong with it. I need to stop copy and pasting from there and just write from my Bible.
