I thought it might be when we are bereaved, upset, angry. That is when one might think evil spirits would attack , tempt and undermine us.

Yet it could be most likely we are most vulnerable when we have felt closest to our Lord God? When we have been baptized for instance? This was the point at which Jesus Christ Himself was tempted in the wilderness, just after his baptism.
It is interesting to note that Jesus was 'led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil'. (Matthew 4, v 1).
So does the Holy Spirit lead us to the devil too, to be tested?

When are we most vulnerable to the devil?

This is a great question, but I think that the answer could be very different for different people based on different factors.
I thought it might be when we are bereaved, upset, angry. That is when one might think evil spirits would attack , tempt and undermine us.
This is definitely a possibility. Along these lines, Paul said:

Eph 4:26
Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
Eph 4:27
Neither give place to the devil.

Unresolved anger or wrath can certainly give the devil access to our lives. I rarely fall for this trap in the long term anymore. Sure, momentarily at times, but I have kind of figured out the devil's tactics in this regard. I do believe that there is a place for genuine anger or what we might call righteous indignation in a Christian's life, but, even then, we must deal with it in the proper manner. When it comes to me being unjustifiably angry, which does happen, that is always an indicator of something wrong inside of me. Simply put, it shows an area where my own will is not fully subjected to the will of God for my life, and I need to repent/change accordingly, and I ultimately do.
Yet it could be most likely we are most vulnerable when we have felt closest to our Lord God?
This seems to be my biggest challenge. In fact, just yesterday, I was lying in bed while this thought kept going through my mind:

If I did not know better, then I would swear that I am cursed.

The things that happen to me on a regular basis are so bizarre that they are almost mathematical impossibilities. In other words, in my mind, there is no way that they are just natural occurrences. Something is definitely occurring in the spirit realm, and I am left to ponder if I am dealing with chastenings from the Lord or spiritual attacks from Satan and demons. Sometimes, it is the former, but I normally submit to God's chastenings immediately. The latter? If I sit and ponder long enough, then it becomes apparent to me that the bizarre things that I mentioned earlier definitely increase in regularity and intensity when I am truly seeking after God in order to fulfill his will for my life.

Do such attacks make me vulnerable to the devil?

I do not know. Probably in the sense that it causes me to stop and wonder about things, but probably not in the sense that I ultimately give him a real permanent place in my life.

I hope some of that made some sense.

God Father and Son Father sent Son Jesus to fulfill Law of Moses perfectly for us all the people to get new lives in then risen Son given us. to Love
The problem is many people have contaminated what is done in Son for everyone to believe, it is finished by Son. Done once for everyone
John 19:30, Hebrews 10:10. 1John 2:1-2,12
this truth has gotten added to it for people to have to do more to be in, at least stay in by works of self efforts, being in stringently put under Law of Moses to have to do it perfect or else.
Which no one can do, none other than Son who did it once for us all to be new in his risen life, given us who stands in belief to this done work for Son, once for all
We are not under Law. We are reconciled as forgiven by God Father, proven being risen for us to be risen new. In belief to this truth for us all

Believe God, receive from God and be new in the resin Son for you too, thank you

It all makes sense.
I think it's a matter of being spiritually vigilant and always turning to Lord Jesus.
When things start going wrong with ferocity, I pray the more. When I have wretched unworthy thoughts I catch myself and pray to Christ to forgive me and guide me to be right with Him.
When I get frightened I cry out to Him.
In other words put it ALL to Jesus and trust. He will do what is required.
It's almost too simple yet hard to do because perhaps we think we can handle everything ourselves or somebody else will. No human being in fact can.

The A&E story indicates that we are vulnerable to temptation when we do not seek God's answers to various questions that might come up but instead listen to lies.

I'm susceptible to attack when I give place to my fanciful imagination, in lieu of my mind being fully governed by the actuality of the truth.

We've all had to withstand moments of dissatisfaction, dismay, and disillusionment, exacerbated by an enemy, who's hell bent on pushing the narrative that we should be disconsolate with any failure to achieve what we imagine our life should be, at any given time.

Those of us who live for the One who died for all and rose again, truly are blessed, because the liar cannot outrun you when you're walking in the Spirit, not that the devil will throw in the towel.

Also remember what James 4:7 says (paraphrased), "Resist the devil by submitting to God, and he will flee from you."

I am also reminded of what Jesus said in Luke 11:24-26 (paraphrased): "If an evil spirit comes out of a man but returns and finds a man's house unoccupied [by the Holy Spirit], it will invite other wicked spirits to go in and live, and the man's soul will be worse than before."

When we come down from mountain top as the disciples did from the mount of transfiguration, they were met by demons,
In my experience when I've had tokens and pin pricks of heaven the devil is not far behind trying to take these tokens from me,

I think we are most vulnerable when we focus on him, much like sin.

Luke 22:31-32 ~ Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat...
That panel is so gorgeous and i cracked up laughing at eau be quiet. Did you put the news clips in? Visually, this one might be your best so far, i'm pretty awed, so much to look at and savour, the colours are perfect but natural looking, it just flows.

Kudos precious friend, definitely adding this one to others of yours i've saved.

when people begin to entertain sin. by way of temptation of the devil or our conditioned response, a sinful thought enters the mind & subconsciously, sometimes you being to expand on the thought & now you ae involved in the "dreamy" pleasures of the thought. but if you are Christian, the H.S will call you out of it & you will obey & cast thought out.

Yes, and realize that the dreamy pleasure was a lie.

When are we most vulnerable to to the devil?

Any time before we die. You can take that in both senses. :)

I doubt I'm on the devil's list to mess with. He's got greater issues around the world.:D I have a hard enough time dealing with my own flesh daily.
